Okay, now we're doing snow pics? How about skiing in the warm weather? Here's one of my boys back when they were cute, skiing in about 70 degree weather:

ski2000.jpg

Great pics! Loved it.

I have to hang my head in shame. We live in Colorado, about an hour away from some of the greatest slopes and my kids have only been skiing a few times. I think they must be the only Colorado kids that don't ski.

However, when I was skiing, the spring skiing in 70 degree weather was the best!

I found the pictures from our Grownup Prom. This will cover the "bad pics"... eventually...

Great Pics!!!
Isn't that funny how cameras seem to malfunction and produce lesser quality pictures as an evening wears on. We seem to have alos experienced the same malfunction at times.

Hey Tricia!!!

I still need to find the time to catch up on the last few pages (few? there's about 10!!).

My team won today!! And it was the Derby!! Basically thats when there are two teams from one place. Today was Liverpool v Everton who are big rivals as they are both from Liverpool and we won 2-1!! It was 1-1 until the last minute when we got a penalty and scored!!! My dad came home to find me screaming at the top of my lungs!! Scared him a bit....whoops! Now its England v South Africa in the Rugby world cup tonight....COME ON ENGLAND!!!

Week7 Football Notes :goodvibes
:surfweb:
Pittsburgh at Denver- i think the steelers will kill them.
:thumbsup2
We have had Broncos season tickets for about 16 years. It is supposed to only be 34 degrees and snowing at kickoff tomorrow night. Being the older and wiser, although some would call us fair weather, fans that we are, we are seriously contemplating watching the massacre from the warm confines of our family room. There actually is wine for me (I don't have to smuggle it in a green tea plastic bottle -did you know that a good chard is the exact same color as green tea?) and the beer is cheaper and closer and you don't have to peel several layers of clothes just to go to the bathroom.

Might as well be warm and miserable rather than cold and miserable.

But the Colorado tourist board is loving it. Everytime there is a nationally televised Bronco game in the snow, bookings at the ski resorts jump astronomically the next day!

Anyway, our fingers have to be warm and nimble by the next morning to try our luck at the on-line sales of world series tickets :goodvibes

Hi all!

Happy Sweetest Day to all! :cutie:

I am home with Chrissy right now. She has a slight sore throat, so her and I stayed home from church tonight. DH and Matthew are at church.
Alot of sicknesses going around our school the past week or so.

I did get a dozen pink roses from my DH today- the $9.99 version, which is fine with me ;)

Since it's Sweetest Day and alot of homies have shared some pics lately, here are some wedding pics, of the family wedding DH and I went to a month ago.

These first 3 pics are the back of the resort/hotel we stayed at- called Chestnut Mountain resort. It's a ski resort in Galena, IL. Never been there before, until this wedding. The scenery is just beautiful!!

penny - very cool FB icons:banana: We had a bye week, in withdrawal...i think the steelers will kill them too:cheer2: if not, we should tuck our tails between our legs & get on with our life's work.

busy, HS football again today, Wolves hung in there; didn't quite do it. Several questionable key calls.:rolleyes1 We luved the parking lot @ this private "academy" rolls, bentleys, porsches; galore even saw a lamborghini:upsidedow . Grandson of the Steeler owners is their QB:snooty: ; guess the farm-boys have nothing to be ashamed of:thumbsup2

face swollen up again, was fine until i sat outside for FB game; never had allergies this bad before. DS is serving 8 am mass tomorrow, hope i don't look so bad then.

rose - very pretty pics, stunning cake!

barb have fun partying!

elmer - i'm sure the prom was much more fun being legal drinking age;) . I went to a couple (chairman of jr. year-Carnival; made a giant paper mache clown head to hang from gym ceiling for after-prom- had to be 6 feet tall, in my parents garage & we carried it up to the school; got more than a few strange looks from the neighbors)...perhaps that's where my fear of clowns originates lol. In senior year we got to enjoy the jr's work, their theme - Stairway to Heaven:laughing: . When I tell my DSs in those ancient days we actually had a designated student smoking area in the school; they cannot believe it.

Tricia, LOVED your PROM pics!!! Thanks for sharing. :goodvibes Enjoy your family today. :)

Hello everyone. I am just procrastinating more of my trip report. Not looking forward to work today or tomorrow. I work with all men for the most part, and this means football all day today and tomorrow at work. I know you guys like football, but I believe hell is personalized for everyone. Mine would include football, field hockey, soccer, and Nascar racing, wine out of a box or in a jug, unsupervised and unruly children everywhere (complete with The Wiggles and Barney), blood tests, stool samples, Christian rock and salsa, cleaning up vomit, mashed potatoes, listening to Bill Maher, getting a pap smear, Grey's Anatomy, cold sores, idiot drivers, chemistry class, boogers, I could go on....

rather all encompassing list:lmao:

i do agree on the concept of both your own personal Jesus & hell to match:thumbsup2

ps you left out telmarketers, TS salespeople, ex-husbands, hemmoroids & colonoscopys...not necessarily in that order:)

See, now my idea of hell would mostly involve horrible noises and/or odors. Trap me in a room with people clipping toenails, sucking their teeth, smacking/popping gum, chewing with their mouth open, gulping beverages, belching, farting, wearing too much cologne/perfume, having serious B.O., blowing their nose (the wet sloppy honking variety), doing that hiccup/burp combo... you get the idea. THAT would be my personal hell.

I'm glad it's not just my camera that has that late-in-the-party malfunction. ;)

I had NO idea today was Sweetest Day. Better go hit hubby up for something. ;)

Beautiful wedding pics! Looks like it was a lovely location.

Sorry to hear about the face... and the HS football game.

Yes, the Prom idea at an age where we could book a hotel room... drink without fear of getting caught... stumble up to our room... and enjoy all the adult fun of being, well, an adult... it was a GREAT party.

I can understand how a project like the 6 foot tall head would cause a lifelong fear of clowns. I'm scared just thinking about it! :scared:

okay my turn......

my idea of hell would be....
being a red sox fan:scared1:
parochial school all over again:angel:
high school all over again:sad2:
a room of people chewing ice cubes:mad:
no chocolate:snooty: :crazy2:
tap water:scared:

she outed him yesterday.....

We are filming tomorrow. It will air sometime next week. I am going into hiding so they don't find me to interview :rotfl:

Might as well be warm and miserable rather than cold and miserable.

Good luck with the interview and a VERY smart woman to know to stay home in the warmth :thumbsup2 Don't blame ya one bit!

Janet, that is awful! I hope it 'unswells' and you're back to your normal, beautiful self :thumbsup2

You guys don't wanna know my "hells" :rolleyes1

I can't follow this thread any more...American Football!

I know absolutely zip about American Football rules...or baseball for that matter...OR Hockey!!

Last time I was in FL the same game was on every night for about 5 nights. I was like "Surely there are other sports to show instead of a re-run of the same game??"

The barman heard me talking and came over to me and said "It's the World Series - it lasts five games"

How much of a dummy did I feel?? :rotfl:

The Sox look like they might tie up the series, and possibly head to the World Series. Come on Red Sox!

I'm not a Red Sox fan, but Rocks vs Sox has so much comic potential.

Good Morning All!:)

Wow - you are chatty - it took me a while to go through all the pages I missed while I was having my "bad" days.

Well, the days weren't really that bad - I was just in one of those b**** moods. I think Wednesday night, I only slept 2-3 hours. Of course, then that makes it hard to get through work. By Friday afternoon, I had the worst headache - so I just crashed Friday night and slept until 9am Saturday.

Then, since Saturday was a home WVU Mountaineer game - all was well with the world.:cool1:

We had a great day as our Mounties came out victorious!!

Also, everytime I tried to get on the computer to check the "DIS" either the kid or the hubby was on the internet. Of course, hubby had to check out all the sports message boards since college football starts Thursday night. So, I just gave up and went to bed.

I am loving your pics. When I posted my pics for my trip report, they came out really small, so I need to work on that before posting.

Marci and Janet - love to hear more about your cruises. I am trying to talk DH into a cruise for our 20th wedding anniversary in 2008. He will not fly so I found a cruise to Bermuda that sails from Baltimore (only a 4hour drive for us). He is still not sure if he wants to do this or not. Help me convince him!!

Wishing you a good Sunday.

Well, the days weren't really that bad - I was just in one of those b**** moods.

That was my Friday....bad mood, f the world, etc..... why does a good night sleep cure that? :confused3

Also, everytime I tried to get on the computer to check the "DIS" either the kid or the hubby was on the internet.

Here's our solution: ask Santa for a laptop and wireless :teeth: Seriously, I first had a desktop, but let's just say, it didn't work out and I put it in the attic (Bubba has his own desktop/wireless in his room). So, I then got a laptop....now I can be online anywhere (living room, bedroom, patio) and both my boys can be on their computers at the same time.... :rolleyes1 Makes for a happy Mom, and you know the saying about a happy Momma....

What exactly is his reason for NOT wanting to go?? If we knew his arguement, we will help you counter it :thumbsup2

Had a nice party yesterday all....work was okay too. Found out that Bubba's soccer game was in the wrong place...actually, the home team was at the wrong field...shoulda been at east, the home team was at west  So, by the time all our team got there, it was time to start the game....ref cut 'em a break and gave 'em some time to warm up.... While they were runnin a lap around their half of the field, the other team was kicking and passing the ball...then they started saying stuff like "moving targets" and such  ...not good sportman-like at all :sad2: ....however, we got our sweet revenge winning 4-1!

Tricia, how is Carol doing....any better since she's been home???

I also need help....need warm (lined) shoes/boots for winter wearing....just to go with jeans or casual everyday.... My feet are always cold, and I'm on the hunt for WARM shoes. Any ideas??? :confused3

I'm off to do "Sunday" stuff....hope everyone enjoys their day..... go E-A-G-L-E-S!!! :cheer2: (and a 4:15 kickoff, and peeps are already out tailgating! :sad2:

LETS GO RED SOX!

Game 7 tonight. Rocks vs Sox in the World Series, please. I beg ye, Baseball Gods, make it Happen! :worship: :worship: :worship:
