Katie...sorry to hear that...that sux....that's why you should save or copy/paste to notepad while you are going along... I do that when doing TR....couldn't imagine the power going out on me or something of the sorts

macraven.....i hope your trip was better than what you've mentioned thus far..... but, a bad day on vacation is still better than a good day at home :goodvibes

i be thinkin' of ya tomorrow Lori....our game is at 10...need to be there by 9:30ish :guilty: .....but still get to sleep in a bit :thumbsup2

Tricia....story please.....now that you are 'officially' in MommyMode :cool2:

hey Gemma....be careful girl...there are loonies everywhere.....

good to see ya Rose!

Hey to everyone else....not omitting personally on purpose! Been a long day, tomorrow even longer....heck, you guys may not see me here tomorrow :confused3 , but, too tired to go bak and try to reply to everyone individually.....you guys can really yap during the day ya know ;)

It's kewl tho...i luvs ya all......:grouphug:

Guess we won't be hearing from DM this weekend.... ;) :thumbsup2 :woohoo: Hope ya have a great time!!!! ;)

damo...hope tomorrow is a better day for you.... Can understand why you feel the way you do.....

Janet...IF you venture into tanning beds...do NOT use anything with a 'tingle-factor' until after you have a rather good base tan... ;) (if you do, your skin will feel like it is on fire :scared: ) Start with what they recommend for base tanning and work your way up from there. It IS important to moisturize when tanning and do NOT take a shower for 3-4 hours after tanning......

There....just wanted to say that....can go to sleep now......:cloud9: nite, nite..........

I forgot to address a few homies, please forgive me .....

Penny- Congrats on your biopsy results, great news!! :cool1:

Sharon- sorry to hear about your MIL. Saying prayers for your MIL and your family.

Janet- enjoyed your pics from a few days ago :thumbsup2
Like your new hair color :thumbsup2

Marcie- enjoyed the Homecoming pics :thumbsup2

Gemma- It's late on Fri night for you. I take it you are out again tonight?
Did you clear this with your Burger King buddy? :lmao:

And since you are from the UK, any talk over there about the Paul McCartney/ Heather Mills divorce?? I know Paul and Heather went to court yest and no divorce deal yet. They have to go to court again in 2008.
I guess Heather Mills is being a big brat :snooty: and wants more money? I don't like her that much. I have been a Paul McCartney fan for a long time. I just love him! If I wasn't married, I defintely would marry him in a heartbeat. And not marry for the money(tho that would be icing on the cake), it would be for love. But I'm happily married, so I couldn't marry him anyways. I do feel sorry for Paul, as he had to deal with this witch for the past 5 yrs. I know he pursued her first, as of dating, etc. Hope everything goes in Paul's favor. :)

Wasn't out last night..need to save money and after being out 3 nights in a row I was wrecked!

Ahhhh...the Macca divorce! Apparently (from scanning the paper) they were in court for 8 hours of negotiations. I don't think a decision has been reached. Apparently Macca could be paying up to £50 million!! :scared1:

Heres a link I just got... http://women.timesonline.co.uk/tol/...ce?CMP=KNC-LBN&HBX_PK=heather+mills&HBX_OU=50

lori - u r right, everyone must be busy today

rose - thanks, u must really be getting tired of things dragging on, hope they get on the ball soon.

gemma - that's right, have fun/be smart - don't forget the King;) ; hope u post us something funny when you get back to your flat after having a few pintspopcorn:: i'm trying to talk British-like lol; finally started harry potter book not the last one, #3:laughing:

if anyone's bored silly, i've finished the Cedar Point TR.

Loving the British 'accent' lol. Always safe, don't worry. Got my boys to look after me! Gotta love them.

yes, i was injured on the haunted mansion ride.
disney has yet to call me to check on me.

i was in the doom buggy, just stepped into it and the seat moved forward.
the seat is that long hard bench. (a piece of wood covered with a black vinyl type of material.)

the bench seat slide forward and i started to stand and get off.
the cm of about 16 years old said i had to sit.
i told him the seat is defective and totally moved forward. he said he would push it back in and i could not get off the ride. he yelled at me and then pushed the doom buggy bar down. and i yelled back at him......

ok during the ride i leaned forward to get a good look at the dancing dining room scene and the entire bench seat came forward. i was balancing half of it by leaning toward the bar on the ride.

i tried to wave thinking a camera would pick up i was having distress.

no one noticed.

when the ride was over, i yelled for the cm to help me and not move the bar open on the ride as i was clinging to it. she could see that but didin't stop the ride. when the bar completely opened the doom buggy ride, i could not balance the bench seat any longer.
the bar opened, i fell forward and the bench seat slide up and gouged me in the back, leg, arm and side.

then they stopped the ride ........and called the lead......and help.

my shorts were ruined, i had a headache, i wanted to go home.
long story short, first aide wrapped ice bags three places on my body and i held one ice bag to my cheek.

guest services wasn't aware of this accident until i told them an hour later.

going out for ice cream in a few minutes. it's 42 degrees and i miss orlando.......

Wow!!! Not a happy ride then! I would have complained my *** off! Are the changes any good?? I agreee...It would happen at UNIVERSAL!! :cheer2:

I just finished typing up a discussion for my online class...and guess what.....the connection timed out and I lost all my work!!!   :furious: :badpc:

And tomorrow is the dentist...not having a good night!!!!!

That's happened to me before...very frustrating!! I just wanted to cry cry and cry!!! Ohh and swear...:rolleyes1

Hope you are doing better mac!

We care!

Okay, I was a good girl and I went back and read everything I missed. Do I get frequent threader points for that? We should start a program. :scratchin

Mac - I can't believe that happened on the HM. Well, I mean, I believe you... but WTH??? Also, I noticed the alterations in my post that you quoted. :rolleyes1

Barb - I am now driving a Grand Caravan. Well, I pick it up at the office in a few hours. I go from a Buick Regal to a Grand Caravan. Can you say WAY too big for me? Ugh. My car is dying and it isn't even a slow process anymore. There is a short in the electrical somewhere, so you never know which windows will roll down or up... which locks will respond... etc. A few weeks ago, the engine started making a grinding sound when you accelerate... then the tranmission started slipping when going up hill. It has 225,000 miles on it, so who can blame the poor thing. I finally reached the point to where I was driving the car to school or to the store and that was it. With the cabin fever setting in, I *might* have been a little less than pleasant with Hubby recently. He panicked and made a deal for the first decent used vehicle he came across. I did say that I don't care what I drive. As long as it is dependable, safe, and comfortable... I really don't care what make, model or year it is. I had my "lookit me" car when I was 19. I haven't needed another one. So, I guess it is my own fault for not saying that I didn't want a Mom-mobile. I'll get used to it.

Well, that is all the time I have for now. My blueberry muffins should be done, so I need to go stuff my face. You guys have a good day and I'll try to check in later.

We have tanked every Monday Night game we've ever had... and we haven't had that many.

My thoughts are, "I hope we don't embarrass ourselves on national tv." :scared:

Morning all

Tricia - don't worry about moving on up to a mini van. Once you get used to it, you will wonder how you ever lived without one, trust me, its nice :thumbsup2 Also hope you are feeling better.

Barb - hi and bye....let us know how the game ends.....get some action shots of Bubba!!

mac - ohhhhhh man - I hope you are healing and get on the note, someone needs to be held responsible!!!! Looking forward to your trip report :yay:

Katie - grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr :badpc: :badpc: I don't like my laptop because with fat fingers I find myself typing sentences in the middle of previous ones :confused3

Gemma - I am glad you guys stick together and are safe. Have a great weekend!!

Damo - I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Lil pup is no longer suffering and will be there to give you kisses and love when you meet again!

Lori, Rose, Marcie - Hey ladies :cool2: ....what's going on this weekend??!!??!! Anything fun???

Penny - I think the winners this week will be Chicago, GB, Eagles, SD, New England and Giants. That's my answer and I am sticking to it :cutie:

Janet - you can call me anything you need to....jsut don't call me late for Happy Hour :drinking1

DM - have a GREAT weekend......  Enjoy every moment you have together!!

Mike - not too much longer now, right??!!??

I think that is about it for now.....did I forget anyone :scratchin if so, I didn't mean to, so an extra HI!! (to cover my bases!!)

Waiting for fbean's new bed to be delivered then its off to do some food shopping, cleaning and whatnot. Cannot believe fall has finally arrived - its 51 degrees right now and no football game until Monday night:rolleyes1

trying to unpack the suitcases.
will be back later.

a very good saturday to all the homies!
i really missed you all
wish you all could go with me on my next october trip.
mark your calendars now and join me then.

good Saturday to all, hope we all have a boffo weekend:banana:

KFed - hope you are well-medicate about now, icepack!

Elmer - i drove a mini-van in one form or another for over 10 years; my fav. was my loaded Grand Caravan...i could've lived in it.;) this too shall pass.:)

Barb - i'm as pale as a ghost, used tingle once; never again. I like the stuff that smells like coffee. Honestly, think the pricey accelerator is just a ploy to make more money. some of it is over $50:eek: I exfoliate, then slap on the cheapo stuff I buy @ the beauty supply store & it seems to work fine.:confused3 . I've been using either the Jergens (smells gross) or the Avon self tanner that's added to lotion (smells much better); it's held my tan on body for over a month. Not face though since i do masks etc. & age prevention creams.:rolleyes1

mac - that sux bigtime:mad: stoopid CM. My youngest DS bopped his head on front of car when we were stopped @ Splash Mt. near the end; backed up past the curve. Every time a car hit, it became more forceful. Finally, he wasn't watching & caught his nose just right...blood everywhere. It was Pres. Day & really crowded. Told CM when we got off & they stated they had no first aid kit.:sad2: Suggest we walk to first aid (yeah, 1/2 way across the park). It kept bleeding more; we grabbed napkins along the way to try & stop it. Finally got to First Aid & nurse asked why we didn't ask for transport back @ SM.:headache: They had him lie down & it stopped. I had to fill out an incident report; was contacted by legal dept within a few days. All they wanted to know was whether we had retained legal advice.:confused3 uh, no; just think you need to train the staff better.

Hi all-

Mac- so sorry what happened to you with Haunted Mansion
I honestly don't know the ride, but the CM should have let you change cars or seats  . Seemed like he knew the seat was broken :headache:
I take it you still have some bruises, hope you are recovering well
Some of these CMs do have 'tudes, as we had a run in with a CM 3 yrs ago, at one of the monorails. And this was Chrissy's MAW trip! I asked a CM about if we can ride the front monorail car and she said "No!"

Gemma- Thank you for the Macca/Mills link :thumbsup2

Yankee Penny- enjoyed your 2 graphics today. Cute!

Hi to all!

Well, my dad had a doctors appt with a specialist yest., I think a hematologist. My mom accompanied him to the appt. Anyways, my mom called me late last night. She said my dad is diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia. Fortunately, it is something that is very treatable with one or two 24-hour doses of chemo. It is not the chronic leukemia that you think of, it's something different- more treatable and it is very slow moving/growing leukemia. I was a little shocked with the news, but glad they found a diagnosis. My dad has never had a huge health condition before. But he has been weak lately and tired, symptoms of his condition. My dad is one these stoic Italian men, doesn't want to talk about stuff like this, doesn't want anyone to know, etc.
Supposedly, my mom says he can wait to do the treatment(chemo) until January.
I really don't know if my dad can wait that long, but according to the doc, they can supposedly wait that long :confused3 My dad is going to have more follow-up appts in the next couple of weeks- maybe they can pinpoint when the chemo can be done. My dad has his own business and doesn't want to interrupt the business in the Fall, as he gets busy this time of yr. My dad is a tailor.
So asking for prayers, mummy dust, and good thoughts
Sorry to make things gloomy here :guilty: Thanks for letting me share :)

I know I can count on you homies :goodvibes

Will be going to church later today. Have you all covered.

I'm so sorry Rose but at least his cancer is treatable..just make sure he's comfortable and I hope he can get his chemo and be well asap. xxx

bubba, what you said was exactly what phamton said, that would never happen at universal............:rotfl:

have to gather my notes to write my report.
haven't posted anything on my trip yet.

i had to call housekeeping to clean the room and put on sheets on my bed more than 2 times. and that was when i got to my room prior to midnight on some nights.

say it again homies. that would never happen at ____________ .

when i get around to it, i'll send them a letter.
i'm in no rush. still trying to get back into real life here.

minor issues at loews hotels but nothing that would upset me.

So how did the game go? We just finished with basketball, they were only running 45 minutes behind! There was way to much mauling ging on on the court today. Our girls are being taught how to play basketball, I think the other teams are being taught to wrestle!

Okay, I was a good girl and I went back and read everything I missed. Do I get frequent threader points for that? We should start a program. :scratchin

By the way my sister got an Astro van a few years ago and she doesn't know how she ever lived without it. Her only child is 26! So don't you start feeling like you have a mom-mobile.

Well my fun today consisted of waiting for Ally's friend to be picked up then sitting watching basketball for hours. Now waiting for my Sooners to play and trying to keep up with the race at the same time. Tomorrow I get to go pack up my step-monsters crap with my sister for my dad. Things have gotten very ugly. They were only married for 10 years and she is wanting1/2 or more of the things he had from when he & my mother were married. WTH???? The "B' is messing with the wrong person. Gonna get nasty I'm afraid.

Did Fbean's bed arrive? How was football?

oops.........just having some fun..........:rolleyes1

Will be going to church later today. Have you all covered.

Rose - :grouphug: Sorry to hear about your dad. But just to ease your mind a little; my dad was diagnosed with Chronic Lymphosytic Luekemia about 7 years ago. He is also one of those pain in the rear dad's that doesn't want us to worry, doesn't want to tell us anything. Anyway, he has to go to the doctor every 6 months to get checked but ohter than that has not had to have treatments. It is just something that is there. So if they said that it can wait then it probably can. I understand your worrying, took us forever to finally understand that there are some forms of Luekemia that they don't treat immediately. Still will keep them in my prayers.

Allison - Just wanted to say hi. How are things going next door???

Sharon - Thinking about you & your family. Hope things are going well.

Goofy, mslclark & cbdmhgp - Pop back in & say hi when you have time.

DM - Hope you are having a fabulous weekend with your sweetie!!!!

Jodie - We miss you. When are you coming home???

Damo - :grouphug: Hope you are doing okay.

Gemma - Hope you are getting rested up some. How far from home are you? When do you get to go home to see mom?

Sorry if I missed anyone in all these posts. Talk at you all later.

Hey Lori, Don't think I've talked to you in a while, so I apologise. Im not very far from home, only 30 mins on a plane. But because I'm overwaters it means I can't just pop home anytime I want. Im actually going home on Thursday for a week, really don't want to though!! Been having too much fun here and feel I'm going to miss out on a good few nights when Im a home. It's one of my best friends birthdays and my wee cousins birthday so I am going home to see them which is nice of me! lol. Its my reading week in uni so it's the only time I could get home before Christmas for these birthdays...Im telling ya- they better appreciate it! Cost me £80 for flights (About $150-$160)
