lori - in a nutshell govt is saying their workers need to be better innoculized to mingle with NASCAR fans than they do with natives in 3rd world countries...wacko thinking imo.

I was hoping to not have to change accommodations for 8 nights @ DL; since we always do @ least once in FL; whether to save points on a weekend day or head to Universal. Will say i've been "bad" even spent 32 points last trip on a Saturday...it killed me. i need an addon, CRV

Okay, now I understand. Of course our government isn't necessarily known for their brilliant ideas.

Well some day I will be maxed out on points so we will be able to stay in only 2 beds & not have to move. And I will also be able to spend the entire summer in Florida. I think I will split my stay between VWL, BCV, & AKV, possibly add in SSR to the mix. Of course I will have to hop down to VB for a couple of weeks too! I have figured it all out many times andcan't wait until I can take that 12 week vacation!!!

We are only going to stay the 5 nights, maybe 6 paying cash for the weekend night, then head on to other parts of California for the rest of our trip.

Gemma you better be careful going out like that. Maybe things aren't as bad where you are as they are in the states but that would be very dangerous here. Please be careful. And yes that boyfriend was very sweet.

Don't worry, I always have friends with me and we always stick together and go home together. Always get taxis from and to the house so no walking at night. I promise, Im as safe as I can be.

Sorry been MIA- been going thru too many emails and getting phone calls, etc. Getting a little cleaning done, kids have lots of homework every night.

I totally agree about the homework, 3rd grade does step it up on the homework. My kids are in 5th- seems to be the same so far, as of amt of homework- just too much homework!

Loribell- was it you that asked about DH's job a few pages back?
DH's job is ok. He is still considered a temp. Both he and I are not very happy about that the co. hasn't hired him permanent yet
I did put a call in last Friday to the temp place(DH didn't know I put in a call)
And I left a message to one of hte recruiters and I asked when is this job going permanent??
THey called my DH at work a few minutes later and asked some specific questions to him, about if he likes the job, etc. Anyways, DH talked to them and they have no date yet when he is going perm b/c they are trying to negotiate some kind of contract with the co and the CEO of hte co has been ignoring the phone calls We don't know why he is ignoring hte calls from the temp agency?? Anyways, DH is still plugging along with hte job. DH is going to keep his eyes open for other jobs as well. No other interviews right now. Well at least DH has some kind of job for now

And since you are from the UK, any talk over there about the Paul McCartney/ Heather Mills divorce?? I know Paul and Heather went to court yest and no divorce deal yet. They have to go to court again in 2008.
I guess Heather Mills is being a big brat and wants more money? I don't like her that much. I have been a Paul McCartney fan for a long time. I just love him! If I wasn't married, I defintely would marry him in a heartbeat. And not marry for the money(tho that would be icing on the cake), it would be for love. But I'm happily married, so I couldn't marry him anyways. I do feel sorry for Paul, as he had to deal with this witch for the past 5 yrs. I know he pursued her first, as of dating, etc. Hope everything goes in Paul's favor.

i need a vacation to recover from this vacation


today i looked for my notes to remind me what i did for 15 days.
i know i ate a lot, did rides, walked in rain, slept some, complained a lot especially at the disney resort i stayed in, did hhn, did rip tour, did day tour, had a blast with todd, had a blast with bev, and did a lot more rides and walked a lot.

now just to put all that into a day by day report.......
you do know it takes me 20 words to answer any yes or no question.

yes, i was injured on the haunted mansion ride.
disney has yet to call me to check on me.


i was in the doom buggy, just stepped into it and the seat moved forward.
the seat is that long hard bench. (a piece of wood covered with a black vinyl type of material.)

the bench seat slide forward and i started to stand and get off.
the cm of about 16 years old said i had to sit.
i told him the seat is defective and totally moved forward. he said he would push it back in and i could not get off the ride. he yelled at me and then pushed the doom buggy bar down. and i yelled back at him......


ok during the ride i leaned forward to get a good look at the dancing dining room scene and the entire bench seat came forward. i was balancing half of it by leaning toward the bar on the ride.

i tried to wave thinking a camera would pick up i was having distress.

no one noticed.

when the ride was over, i yelled for the cm to help me and not move the bar open on the ride as i was clinging to it. she could see that but didin't stop the ride. when the bar completely opened the doom buggy ride, i could not balance the bench seat any longer.
the bar opened, i fell forward and the bench seat slide up and gouged me in the back, leg, arm and side.

then they stopped the ride ........and called the lead......and help.

my shorts were ruined, i had a headache, i wanted to go home.
long story short, first aide wrapped ice bags three places on my body and i held one ice bag to my cheek.

guest services wasn't aware of this accident until i told them an hour later.



going out for ice cream in a few minutes. it's 42 degrees and i miss orlando.......

also had issues at the disney resort.
i had to call housekeeping to clean the room and put on sheets on my bed more than 2 times. and that was when i got to my room prior to midnight on some nights.

when i get around to it, i'll send them a letter.
i'm in no rush. still trying to get back into real life here.
