Well the good news is that her lawyer is finally concerned. She is filing an emergency restraining oder to stop any contact. I know it won't completely stop him, he obviously doesn't have to obey the law, but it will stop the visitation he has with his mother.

Good luck with your garage sale Penny. "Yard Sale" and "Garage Sale" are interchangable terms here. If I understand correctly, some parts of the country prefer one over the other, but we use them both here. My in laws say "Rummage Sale". I think that must be a Minnesota thing. They are the only ones I've ever heard use that term.

Other Minnesota words I've learned:

davenport = sofa
hot dish = casserole
Uff da = an exclamation used in all manner of ways
Holy Buckets = see above
heckuvadeal = anything my in laws paid less for than the item was worth (usually things acquired at a "Rummage Sale")
lefse = a potato tortilla served for dessert that's not bad, but not that good either
lutefisk = the most disgusting fish I've ever consumed

And, it's not a word, but the other Minnesota thing I've learned is ending a sentence before it is supposed to end. Examples of this include, but are not limited to: "I'm going to the store. Want to come with?" or "We might need that. Why don't you bring it with?"

Don't ask why I'm rambling. I think it is sleep deprevation.

Going to be a cloudy day here....good day to empty the pool me thinks

am still tinkering with a trip to Disney/Universal for the second week in December - wish DH would make up his stinking mind

BTW, Marcie, Sharon, Tricia and Jodie thanks for sharing your wedding pics with us! They totally rocked!!!!!

I hope the December trip works out. They area is wonderful all decorated for the holidays. I would love to be able to go back again sometime. I hope to be able to go for New Years Eve in Dec of 08. I figure we could arrive on the 30th or 31st and not do any parks, way to crowded, and then stay for a week or so afterwards to enjoy the parks without any crowds. I have heard that the New Years Eve festivities are a lot of fun.

I have only ridden it once and it really bothered me that we came out of our seats so far, maybe that was because I was riding with Michael and was worried about him falling out. Of course I do know that was not going to happen, just felt that way.

Heavens! The girl leaves for university and we forget all about her!
She's going to have a conniption fit when she sees my tag. I can't wait.


I knew I wouldn't get everyone off the top of my head. Who else hasn't been around the last couple of days? My memory doesn't last much longer than that.

eh.....stopped by police station this morning to report 'suspicious' stuff out back. Long story for another time (remind me), but I wanted the police to know that I either have a peeping Tom out back or someone 'scopin' the joint (maybe preppin' for burglary? ) Cop says good I came by to alert them...I shouldn't live in fear in my own home.... Told the cop I wasn't afraid, (just wanted them to know what was going on) that I have a husband at home and a son that's a blackbelt (even tho he is only 8! ) Also told Mr. Copper that I locked myself out recently, and my house is like Fort freakin' Knox....nobody is gettin' in here...I couldn't break myself in (Like I said, a long story leading up to this point, but it's getting late, and I have a BUSY day tomorrow....and tomorrow night)

Glad to hear the house is safe. I hope the coppers keep an eye out for you and catch that peeper!

lori - hmm, that is great news re DVC; was beginning to think we were the ugly stepchild for bit. Just wish they'd revamp the point structure for DL resorts...way outta line imo. So afraid of getting stuck in a dump for 8 nights . They all seem to have upped next years rates substantially from '07...now in the $120 - $160 range PLUS 15% tax...except for a few. Just wish DHs employer would get on the stick w/vacation requests so i could put that issue to bed.

tricia - i cut my teeth on Channel #5, still my fav; like Tresor & off all things, FUBU has a nice scent too (DS got it for me one year lol).

Since I've already been labeled the Poop Lady, I'm going to rant for a minute.

What IS IT with guys and underwear stains? I have actually asked my husband, "Do you understand the purpose of toilet paper? Do you need a lesson in how to use it?"
His response when I've asked has been, "It's not my fault. I get sweaty when I work."

So, what, the sweat crawls up your butt and then comes back down to leave a stain? How does that work?

And while we're on the subject... okay, while I'm on the subject 'cause I seem to be in the mood to ramble with myself today... and I must say, I'm quite the conversationalist... Why won't my husband hand me his dirty clothes? Today when hubby came home from work for lunch, he was covered in grass clippings and sweat from weedeating around the office. I'm standing there sorting clothes (hence my laundry related rambles today). I hold out my hand for the dirty clothes and he reaches past me to put them in the hamper. This is nowhere near the first time this has happened.

I look at him, reach into the hamper, and pull out the clothes to put them in the appropriate piles. I said, "Why didn't you just hand them to me?"
His response? "They're all dirty and sweaty. I didn't want to hand them to you."
And how do you think your dirty clothes get from the hamper to the washer? At some point, I will have to reach into the hamper with my hands and pull out the dirty clothes. Trust me, they don't improve after sitting in the hamper.

Okay, another completely ridiculous ramble/rant over. Back to my laundry... with bleach...

USF - No one knows the extent of the rehab taking place to Earthquake
itself, but it's heard that the ride will be hosted by an all new team of actors
from the Entertainment department. Attractions staff members will still handle
the load / unload end of things but in the end it looks like the direction of
things has been handed over to Entertainment

Agree with comments re Ghost Host! Dumb move to eliminate it

i really had hoped they'd add Xmas dec. ; may have to switch things around & visit DL late fall next year to catch it...think they put it up before Columbus Day in Oct.?

i'm such a HM geek, bought home-made DVDs on eBay few years ago - has all the ride thru's on it, including the DL Xmas version.lol

extended family used to live in myrtle beach sc; said you couldn't use bleach because of the clay in the soil ; everything turned reddish color...took their word for it.

Well, I have spent the whole day with DGD, just returned home from her b'day party. Michael & I went early, took her to eat lunch, then went and let her show me what she wanted for her birthday (then had Michael go off with her while I went back and picked things up) and then went and got her balloons. She was very happy little girl this afternoon. It was good to see her having a good time.

Tricia - were you able to score tickets this morning? I sure hope so.

No no...just PART of the spiel is left out. Actually...I don't remember that last time I heard it. It's only the part between the Conservatory and when you enter the Seance Room...everything else is still in place. The part that's missing is:
