I don't usually keep up with the entertainment news much. I barely have time for real news.
So, a friend of mine that feels it is his duty to keep me "in the know" emailed me this morning to ask if I watched the train wreck that was Britney Spears comeback on the MTV awards last night. After admitting that I didn't even know the MTV awards were on last night, he sent me this YouTube link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fEGCEEzKRU4&NR=1

All I can say, in my most polite southern accent, is, "Bless her heart." :sad2: :scared:

Morning all

Penn State won
Eagles lost
Phillies won
FBean won his game yesterday too!!

Fully expected the Eagles to blow it.....my man Andy is just horrible anymore. An interviewer asked him after the game if he even considered letting the guys out there for punt returns know that they didn't have to actually CATCH the ball...his answer "no". WTH??!!??!! Grrrrrrr - Anyway we won our Fantasy Football game in both leagues, so I thinks me and DH need to go over to the complex and take over head coaching positions!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

You guys could give me a "You're Not Pregnant" Shower. Gifts could include: Captain Morgans Rum, wine, tight-fitting underwear, OTC medications... the possibilities are endless!

Oh I can see the trend starting now! Whew I'm not pregnant. Let's have a party!!!!!!

Katie - gorgeous gazebo, when should we get our invites? :cool1: I promise I won't spike the punch ;)

Barb - OUCH :headache: !! Hope the toe is better today.

Tricia - hope you feel better, sometimes those stomach viruses are weird and come back around in a short period of time.:flower3:

mac & keisha - thanks for getting my back :thumbsup2 , haven't been to church in a few weeks, but talk to the big guy quite often!

penny - WELCOME BACK!!!!! Where's the report??!!:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

lori, todd, marcie, jodie and anyone I have missed (sorry, still recovering from being out Friday night) HI!!! Have a great day!!!!

Way to go FBean. I think you and DH should go take over the coaching job Tracie. :cheer2: I would cheer for the Eagles if you did.

No, no, you have this backwards. It's not Eagles lost. It's:

Packers Won!

Tricia - sorry to hear you're feeling bad again. In my book, nothing is worse than the tummy bug thing - especially if you're nauseous too. Hope it recedes again quickly!

Thanks to all who stopped by my trip report! I'm working on day 5 now!

Katie - can't remember if you asked here or on the other thread, but the Seas Aqua tour was $100pp, but with a AAA discount was only $85. It included a picture for each participant, a t-shirt (you'll see those in some later pics), guaranteed 30 minutes in the tank (as I said, they had about 45), and the behind the scenes tour. It's kind of a "beginner" scuba - they use the scuba tank, but you don't dive, just stay near the surface, but don't have to worry about breathing or a snorkle, etc. You don't have to be certified or anything, but you do use the air tank - there is a separate tour for certified folks in which you can actually go down to the bottom of the tank. Oh, and I love seeing all the pics you're posting - sounds like wherever you choose the wedding will be lovely. I'm jealous!

So very sad that she has fallen so far. The girl needs so major help before she ends up like Marilyn or Anna Nicole.

sounds good for me.

i'll send you a cow.

I am the queen of microwaveable eats ;) MOF Jodie, I microwave Hamburger Helper :rotfl2: (no, I'm serious) If it's microwavable, I'm makin' it :thumbsup2
Barb, have you seen the new single serving microwavable Hamburger Helper?
Don't laugh at Elmer... I GOT A TAG!
Congrats on the tag!!!
Really, the ME trip report would be very boring:
Hey! Maine is not boring!!! :thumbsup2 j/k

Stopped at the NH St liquor store (does that surprise ANYONE?). Seriously, you do not pay tax on liquor in NH, and it is very reasonable there, compared to NJ.
Sounds like you all ate really really well!
Hello Everyone!Guess who is back!!!!
Hi Penny, glad your back safe and sound.
Here is where I would like to have the wedding ceremony....
Pictures are beautiful! What do you do if it rains?

Here is the only pic I'll be posting from our adults only trip to the Wharf. The other pictures ... well, I'd rather not get into those. :rolleyes1 I'm sure you can tell, but I actually had to crop this one:
That's not fair, we need to see more pics!
Reunion was a great time today!
Glad you enjoyed yourself at the reunion! My extended family tries to do short letters at xmas time to keep everyone updated. Works pretty good for us.
Okay, so our day was good. Went to donate some toddler clothes...didn't realize they only took 1 bag at a time AND went thru and picked what they wanted out of it before "buying" it from you.
When I used to sell my kids clothes, I had to make an appointment first and they would only buy clothes that were in season. :rotfl:
[Well, in doing so, a can of DH 'stuff', fell off the shelf and onto my toe...yep, now I'm rowing Penny's "toe boat"
How's that toe today?

Well, guys... my stomach issues are BACK.
Oh no! Did you eat any "iffy" leftovers?!

Well, we spent the weekend visiting Villanova University in PA. DS thought it was ok, but nothing wowed him about it. We also did some sightseeing in Philly. Checked out Independence Hall, Philly Zoo and did some window shopping on Rittenhouse Row. Not a bad weekend!

Well, surprise, surprise...I have a rant!

As you all probably know I have an 8, almost 9 yo daughter. Now who do 8 yo little girls just absolutely love? Mmm, maybe it could be Hannah Montana? So said little girl has been waiting so desperately for Miss Hannah to come to Oklahoma. Well guess what...she's coming, Dec. 2nd. :yay: :yay: Well my sister finds out about this as well and she wants to be the one that orders the tickets for her granddaughter, my daughter & us, she likes to put things on her cc and me give her cash. So of course I said okay. Well, she forgot and didn't get online the morning they went on sale to order them. The freakin concert sold out in 5 hours. Yep by the time I called to check with her they were all gone!!!!!   Yeah, this momma was a little UPSET!!!! See my sister thinks it's okay to disappoint kids, it's part of life! WTH? :confused3 Well anyway, I have been watching for them to go on sale somewhere close enough for us to drive to. Tomorrow tickets go on pre-sale through Miley World in Fort Worth, it's about a 3 hour drive from here. So I have now gotten her a subscription to Miley World, not going to take any chances by waiting for the regular sale. I will have those tickets ordered at 10 am tomorrow morning and we will be going to see Miss Hannah on Nov. 14th, yep two weeks earlier. I will pick her up from school a little early & drive to Ft Worth, see Miss Hannah, spend the night in a hotel & drive back home the next day. We will have a perfect mother/daughter evening, despite my sister. Ya know I do love her dearly but we are nothing alike! So of course see Hannah got much more expensive. Guess I could order extra tickets and sell them on ebay for up to $1000 apiece to cover our costs. :scared1: :scared1:

So am I going over board by buying these tickets out of state? I know she is very spoiled!!!

Thanks for listening! Rant over.

lori, i have been known to do the same thing.

you are talking to the choir here.......

Well said sister said the same thing about our trip this summer. We had so much going on with the family that I was kinda afraid to be gone and she said we should just cancel. Now this was just a little over a week out. I said there was no way i was doing that to the kids. Of course that's when the comment came out about disappointment being a part of life and they would get over it. You see, she likes to think she likes to do things with her granddaughter but really what she prefers is to set on a beach with a beer & cigarette and do nothing. She said she wanted to go but she really didn't and this would be her way out. Of course looking back on it, I should have pretended that I had cancelled the trip and gone without her. Would have been a much nicer trip!

UGH!

Hi everyone! Can I pop in and say we got back last week from Orlando, and we had a blast at Universal parks! I lost count on how many times we rode MIB, at least 20. I love the single rider line! Best time to go to Universal - whenever Disney offers free dining!

:welcome: :welcome: :welcome:

come play with us some more.
tell us about your trip

On a much brighter note... I never told you guys that Ally's Pomeranian puppy disappeared on us the last weekend in August (the same day my sister was supposed to get the Hannah tickets). She was outside with our Beagle and DH & DS went in to town about 1. Well, about 7 I figured out that DH & DS had been lookng for the puppy for hours but didn't want me & Ally to know she was missing. Let me add to this that this puppy was given to her by her big brother because I had finally broken down and let her get a mutt puppy from someone at Wal-Mart just a few months earlier. So we looked and looked for the puppy but she was no where to be found. I had decided that the mail man had picked her up (we live on a dead end rode with just two houses on it) and had given up. So 10 days go by and I go in to our little grocery store in town to get something after dropping the kids off at school. As I am leaving I see a note on the wall about a found Pom south of town. I call the number, describe Lizzy (the puppy), and have found my babies puppy who has been greatly cared for by friends of ours. The worst part about the whole thing is that the family had her for 10 days and had become very atttached. Crystal was in tears when she dropped her off.

Anyway, Lizzy is home. Ally is thrilled. And tomorrow she will have her Hannah tickets!
