Barb - there is really a lot going on right now with DVC. There are a lot oery unhappy members because of changes tehy made to simplify things, ie make more money for them. They canged banking deadlines, which of course I never need to worry about since I have been in a constant state of borrowing since I bought in! They have added a $95 fee if we want to use our points a a regular WDW hotel, there was never a fee before. And now with this new FP they are talking about we are wondering if we will just be left out of the loop. Kinda frustrating knowing how much money we have given the company upfront.

Tricia - I dropped in after the race for a quick minute. I really don't like what they have done with the chase. Don't hate me but I am a Gordon fan as well. He is the reason I ever even started watching. It stinks that he led the chase all season by so much and now he is behind.

I also love Jr., hate what Teresa did, and really wanted him to get in the Chase last night, but I would have rather it been Busch that got knocked out instead of Harvick.

I forgot to mention, I'll be out from 1pm till early evening....EAGLES are on at 1pm (not sure what time Falcons are on?) and then having company for dinner....so, don't expect me too much this afternoon either

Falcons are on at 1pm too. I'm trying to get everything done before then. That is why we are having lasagne for dinner. It is already made and ready to pop in the oven later.

That would be nice Elmer...we all know you've got a great sense of humor but this could be expensive for some of us...you know?

Okay, when I feel that something I am posting will be funny, I'll try to remember to give you a heads up. (Note, I said I would TRY to remember...)

Here is where I would like to have the wedding ceremony....

Katie - That looks like a BEAUTIFUL spot! Are you thinking morning... afternoon... evening? I'd imagine that would be a pretty location no matter what the light, as long as the weather cooperates.

I don't have anything against Gordon. He may have to be my new driver now that I'm losing Mark Martin (I've been following his career since he drove the Winn Dixie car back in the 80s). I enjoy watching Jr. drive and oh, yeah, Teresa is the wicked stepmother, isn't she? But, I don't know if I can handle being part of the "red army" that follows him. KWIM? I can't stand Busch (pick a brother... I don't like either one of 'em...) so, yeah, I see your point. I just still have that bitter taste in my mouth over Harvick from the Daytona 500.

I head back to FL today.

I know what you mean Tricia. I am so glad that Kyle is leaving Hendrick. My dad is a huge Jr. fan. When I first heard Jr. was leaving DEI I called Dad immediately. Told him on the phone that night that Jr. was going to Hendrick. Glad to hear that Tony Eury Jr. is going with him too. Can't believe the witch won't let him take his number with him though. She'll get hers someday, probably pretty soon once DEI starts falling apart with Jr. gone.

Reunion was a great time today! Got to see lots of family that hasn't even come the last couple of years. So sad that we are all so busy we can't take more time to be together. My great grandparents would hate how little time we spend together. I remember many great times together when I was little at their little bity house with all of the family. My hubby & I decided yesterday that we want to start doing a quarterly newsletter for the family & are going to start a family website. I would hate for all of those wonderful memories & stories get lost to our future generations. So I typed up a letter yesterday & handed it out today so that I can start gathering stories, history, pics and anything else anyone would like to have on there. Well see how it goes. Wish me luck!!!!

Let me just say that I think what Lori said about DVCer's sux. That's wrong to keep 'soakin' the money from them and treatin' them like "lower class" than the regular paying customers. That is the 1 thing about Disney I can't stand....money, gimmie, gimmie, gimmie. Granted Universal Orlando is a big monster company too, but it's at least affordable to the average working person to go there for vacation....a Disney vacation is quite expensive and takes awhile to save for! Big corporates are always "gimmie more money, gimmie, gimmie..." I hate that.

Jodie.....do you seriously think you can get away with ONE CROPPED picture from your trip! C'mon sista....spill the beans....er, rather, the memory card (And I think poor Alex got wore out )

Marcie....I keep reading your TR, but like you mentioned, I mostly commented here on this thread....I can 'bump' for you if you need it tho........

Lori...sounds like the reunion was great!!!! Good luck with the newsletter and website...internet is a great thing for keeping in touch w/ distant family members....(we have 2 sites for that reason!)

Okay, so our day was good. Went to donate some toddler clothes...didn't realize they only took 1 bag at a time AND went thru and picked what they wanted out of it before "buying" it from you. But, made $23.55 and have to put in Bubba's bank account. Off to donate what they didn't want to Goodwill (& get receipt for tax donation ) After coming home and watchin' my Eagles lose, I had to "clear a path" to the heater because it's getting cleaned Tuesday morning (uh, 7 AM morning ) Well, in doing so, a can of DH 'stuff', fell off the shelf and onto my toe...yep, now I'm rowing Penny's "toe boat" So, I had to clean it (cuz it was bleedin') and put anitbiotic Neosporin on it w/ bandaid, cuz Lord knows WHAT is in my garage! It was throbbing, but took a couple of Advil, now it just hurts...it has a good cut and we'll see what color and how big it is tomorrow (it's the second toe, next to the big one). Darn can fell right on the middle of it.... I don't think it's broken, but we'll see what tomorrow brings

I think that is all the excitement we had here today..... then again, it WAS Sunday!

Ouch Barb! So sorry about the toe. Hope it is all better soon.

Many, many uppset DVCer's, even to the point of lots of people talking about selling if some things aren't changed back. I mean going from charging nothing, other than the fact that they charge a lot more per night for a regular room then they do a DVC room, even a moderate over a DVC studio, $95 bucks! That is rediculous. Of course there is no fee to stay at a DLR resort but most figure that is because it is highly rumored that they are fixin to announce a Cali DVC resort. You wouldn't want to discourage the use at DL if you are getting ready to build there now would ya?

Sorry your Eagles lost and Tricia's birds lost. DS called and told me what happened with the Phili game. That sucks!

Katie - I think the gazebo is lovely and if it coordinates with your reception, hey, it must be a good spot!

Lori - It does stink that Teresa wouldn't "Free the 8" for Jr. The look of the number to me was always like his dads number 3, just closed into an 8. Maybe Budweiser put pressure on DEI to keep the 8 so they could keep the exact same car they were sponsoring, just with a new driver? If so, they don't know race fans well. They need to come up with a whole new paint scheme to distinguish it from Jr's car.

I hope the family reunion/newsletter works out well for you. I have been into genealogy for several years and it is important to gather all the information and stories you can NOW. So many are lost when our ancestors die.

Barb - I'm sorry to hear about the toe. I hope it is the right size and right color this morning. I've broken my little toes several times, but none of the bigger ones. You don't realize how much you use your toes until one of them is hurting!

And, sorry about your Eagles. At least they were in the game until the last minute. My game was painful to watch. Our defense is good and was able to hold them off until they got exhausted from spending most of the game on the field... then it was just a massacre. Our offense stinks. There is no polite way around it. They smell worse than Daniel's diapers. It's gonna be a loooooong season.

Penny - It's good to have you back and I hope the cat forgives you soon.


Well, guys... my stomach issues are BACK. What? A stomach bug is supposed run through you and then GO AWAY. I was getting better, but then started having problems again last night and now things are just as bad as they ever were! I have no idea what is going on. I guess I'll give it a day or so, but I may just have to break down and go to the doctor. I hate going to the doctor over intestinal issues. Sometimes they want to run those tests... you know... *those* tests...
