I'm at work now (on break), the one nice thing about working a holiday, is that there aren't any bosses here, so the inmates are running the asylum here at the Post Office! We're waxing floors today, since the regular crew of mail sorters are off. By working today, I can take off the day after we get back from UO in October. Since our flight is landing in Philly at 10:50PM on a Sunday night, having Monday off is a good thing!

Mike....it's great when the boss isn't in! We had that the last week of August, and we all got a lot of chitchatting done! Found out some interesting info on peeps Enjoy the "easy" day.

wwessing..welcome back! You don't have to talk about anything particular.....anything you'd like to share, vent or ask. Heck, a certain someone here was on one night totally drunk and made absolutely NO sense with what they typed....it was We are an easy-going bunch.....

Tricia....I say Dad & the boys spend the day together at the museum and Mommy gets the day off ....will that work? Then YOU can have the day off If not, just being together as a family is good enough....I've told my son that many a times. mof, if you ask him what Christmas is all about, he will tell you family. (not presents and cookies and such, but what really matters....smart for 8yo )

Hope you got your tix Todd....if you didn't, Raven is gonna hunt your butt down! I'd like to do HHN sometime, but it will be quite a few years away I'm afraid! DS scares too easily for that and DH won't put that kind of money out. Maybe when we move to Fla...

I must share...

Brad & I finally decided that if we are going to do anything today, our first step should be to clean up. Don't want to offend anyone with our day off stink. So, I was just stepping out of the shower and Brad was at the sink.

He looks back at me and says, “Honey?”

I’m toweling off and absently reply, “Yeah?”

“Which toothbrush is mine?”

I froze. “Excuse me?!?!!!”

“Is mine the green one or the purple one?”

“Yours is GREEN. Which one have you been using?!?!”

“I’m not sure. That’s why I asked.”

And he proceeded to pull the green brush and squirt toothpaste on it as if it was no big deal.



Okay, these are not brand new toothbrushes. We’ve easily had this particular set for 6 to 8 weeks. We’ve been married for 8 years. How long has this been a problem??? I mean, I know we share a bed… we have children together… there is the inevitable spit-swap that occurs during kissing… but using MY toothbrush? How gross is that??? I am going straight to the store and buying two sets of brand new toothbrushes. We’re going back to basics. I'm getting a set of blue and pink ones. Surely he can keep the stereotypical baby blanket theory of “blue is for the boy and pink is for the girl” straight… right? Maybe I’m overreacting, but I still get the mental shudders when I think about it.

Or is it just me?

You know, something just crossed my mind. Gemma has a new avatar and siggy pic. Did we ever get a trip report from Gemma? Wasn't there something about how she was waiting for the rest of the family to come home with the camera before she could? I'm assuming the new pic is from the holiday? Did I miss a Trippie? Or are we now forced to wait until Gemma is settled in at University before we will get one? If so, will it be a sober TR or a drunken one?

So many questions... my brain is now frazzled... I must back away from the computer...

The tix have been purchased and are safe in my dresser. Kinda funny when I went today. The TM at Guest Services rang up the FF Pass and the EP for 9/28 and 10/4 but for some reason the computer kept printing TWO passes for 9/28 and nothing for 10/4...he was getting so flustered and kept looking at me like I was going to jump across the desk at him. I watched him put the dates into the system and the computer STILL printed the wrong date! This happened five times. After he got a supervisor out to help....it worked! So.....we are all set for 9/28 and 10/4!


BTW...for those of you who are wondering if the Delorean is still there...look what I saw today:
