Awww, everyone is getting clothes for going back to school!! I had to wear a uniform in all my schools! Not fair...american schools are so much better!! (But we have beaten England every year in exams results- just a little bragging there- GOOOOO NORTHERN IRELAND!!!)

I'm leaving for work in a minute, but though I'd drop by for a quick hello!

Barb, you know we do have the "intranet" at work, it's a part of the internet where only employees or team members (as we are called) have access.

Thankfully Bubba is only 8.5 years old...he "likes" clothes, but isn't to the point of requesting "name brands" yet ...whew! I know, my day will come....(I think I care more what he's dressed like than he does! Today he wore camo shirt w/ gray sweatpants....uugghhh...)

Enjoy it while you can! DS10 doesn't care (so much), but DS13 is SOOOOOOOOOO picky!!!!!

Marcie, I love your family's matching shirts!!! My DS13 and DH would NEVER agree to wearing the same shirts as the rest of us though, even if some of us had different colors! DS10 wouldn't mind though. I got away with dressing my boys alike (sometimes) until last year.

Kstarfish82, your room looks fabulous! I hope you are having a GREAT time! (and it sounds like you are!)

a big welcome back to damo. looks like another trippie on the way for us thanks to bubba's mom. loved your pics you posted damo.

penny, or should i say our resident bo derek for the day, we can find you a great place to eat lunch.

finnegans is a sit down resturant which is near the mummy ride.
you can get wraps, plates, salads, fruit, etc there.
check the menu for the place.
also like tlinus said, international food and film festival is good also.
i eat at both places each trip.

the fff place is counter and you seat yourself. they have the american, italian, etc sections. the fried chicken they have is my fave.

going to curves soon. it is so boring at this point in my life but a necessity.

hoping mr todd has a great day. one of us here should have called him in sick so he could stay home and play with us all day long.

mr mac filed for his in early february and received his passport end of june.
i had better luck as my was expediated and it took 9 days. (but that is rare)

do you have a deadline of when you need the passport?

Then the following year, florida again.


DH has a passport for work and his wont be a hassle....
I had not realized that , as I got married before the 9/11 nightmare, I did not have a CERTIFIED birth certificate.
Got that from New Hampshire in just a couple of days, so that was good. off to the task!

Atlantis is on Paradise Island in the Bahamas. My brother and his wife went there a couple of years ago and said it was an amazing property. He described it as "set up like Disney" in that they have everything you could think of to do right there on site... no need to wander away from it and spend your money elsewhere.

I had a very busy night at work, which was good because it kept me awake and on my toes. I am off to shower. Mac, my fat, tired butt did Curves this morning too. Though I barely had the energy to put forth an effort.

So we've got two hot curves momma? i haven't been on the treadmill for a week lol; too hot.

kstarfish - just like i remembered it (sister looks like a dead on the bed lol). Which pool? nearest to Cascades...only thing i didn't like was all the mulch in the pool

penny - next Oct, you'll be fine lol. should be able to track online in a month or so. if you see no activity; give them an email.

marcie pics i give bonus points for the "sorta" matching shirts @ airport, luv your attention to detail.

damo - fantastic pics!!! PP room was very elegant, i had read it was dumpy ; looked great to me. Was the huge couch seating area in concierge?

Yes! He was so funny when I picked him up yesterday. He had to tell me ALL about walking by himself to his class. There were a lot of "and thens" and "guess whats"...

"How was your day today?"
"Good"
"No trouble finding your class by yourself?"
"Nope. I walked in the big door and guess what? Miss Rena was there and she said how I was a big boy and all and did I need help and I told her no and I had it and all that and then I turned down the right hall just like you showed me and I stayed on the brown line and guess what? There was a line for the lunchroom with kids having breakfast, but since I already had breakfast at home I kept going. How come I have to have breakfast at home when all those other kids eat at school? Then I passed the gym, but guess what? Since the first bell rang already they were closing the doors and said to go to our classroom and then Miss Heather asked if I needed help, but I told her no I had it and all that and then I counted 4 doors past the gym and I knew it was the right room because I saw Mrs. Chamberlain inside, but guess what? I had to go to the bathroom, so I put my backpack in the room and the went to the boys room across the hall and then I still made it back to my desk before the last bell which is a good thing 'cause then you have to go to the office and get a tardy slip."

I'm not even sure he stopped to take a breath during all that.

He's taking those first steps into a big new world. Sigh.
