Tricia - I know the hurricane feeling! Thursday night we had conferences, plus I had a kid home sick (temp 101, just icky feeling in general - I did take him in but he had one of those useful "viruses")! I left for work about 10:30 and didn't get home until after conferences close to 8pm. By then all 3 boys had been home for nearly 5 hours together. It was "make what you want for dinner" night as well (or in our case "don't eat any dinner!"). The boys left remnants of all their meals, dishes, etc. all over the kitchen, plus of course the sick one was too sick to carry the soup bowl, popsicle sticks, etc. out of his room after eating. Yep, it was a disaster!

Penny - I too hate Ralphie and the dreaded BB gun, but unfortunately DH loves that show and whenever it's on (which is always!) is constantly saying "Here, watch this - this is the funny part!" And yet I never agree!

Go Pack! 9 - 1! Should be a good game for DH and DS in Detroit on Thursday!

Okay, I'll admit it... I LOVE A Christmas Story.

"You'll shoot your eye out! You'll shoot your eye out!"

I loved it the first time I saw it many, many moons ago and I still love it today. Of course, I loved the books by Jean Shepherd first. In God We Trust, All Others Pay Cash and Wanda Hickey's Night of Golden Memories are two of my favorites.

I just don't want TBS to do another 24 hours of nothing but A Christmas Story again like they've done in the past. Too much of anything is just too much. It nearly killed the joy of It's A Wonderful Life (which I also love). On my must-see list: Charlie Brown's Christmas, Frosty the Snowman, Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer, Santa Claus is Coming to Town (pretty much all the old Rankin Bass ones), and recently added Elf.

it was suggested to aim for $5 for the cost. tax additional.

Who asked what our morning schedule was like? Marcie, I think? Brad & I are up by 6am Monday thru Saturday. He showers while I do my exercise, then he does his shaving, etc while I get my shower. We try to be mostly ready by the time we wake the kids at 7am. Breakfast is next, followed by convincing the boys that they have to get dressed for the day, then out the door by 7:45 to drop Joshua off at school. Brad leaves at the same time to open the office by 8am (we live within walking distance of our office). He is open until 5pm and is usually home by 5:15 to 5:30. It helps that there is no commute time in our schedule, but he does work 6 days a week, so that stinks. Sunday is wild and crazy sleep in as long as the kids will day. Which means we are usually up around 7:30am

Well...all registered for spring soccer Didn't we just finish FALL soccer Oh well...all taken care of, no need to worry about getting it done.....thought I'd poke my nose in here to see's who's home.....

How come you forgot to mention Christmas Vacation?? LOVE LOVE LOVE the Griswold Christmas!!! (Just not the holidays without watching it!) Also love It's a Wonderful Life, Charlie Brown AND The Year Without a Santa Claus...ya know...Heat Miser and Snow Miser Love that song!!

oh and mac.... i thinks you gots some duplicates in your "IN on Xmas exchange" post whoops! (think me & Tricia are in twice! )

Well, off to make DH's lunch for the night....just finished the bills for the week...no mail on Thursday for holiday, messes me up...Disney Visa due that day, so hafta mail early (huge bill too ...ouch!!)

Oh, forgot to mention.... I am also known as "Mom of Bean" or "Bean's Mom" Apparently "Bean" is what Coach now calls Bubba...cuz he bounces all over the field.... Th' boy just can't stand still.... The Coach is now 'nicknaming' all the boys one at a time to whatever "fits" them.... one kid is called "E" (his first letter in his first name) and Ry is "Bean".... for 'jumpin' bean' So, Tracie, can my 'bean' hook up wit your 'bean'???? (sorry....just couldn't resist!!!)

Enjoyed reading everyone's posts, marci your son looked "dishy" puns are getting worse i'm afraid.

i've been re-decorating (no cleaning) cutting heads of hair (DS asked for a scissor cut , his hair was approaching his shoulders. Took a stab he-he @ it, he's happy), shopping & watching the Steelers embarass themselves knew it would happen, always looking ahead; glad i'll miss the NE game.
dh & i were beating bushes for a new desktop for jr, nada. Black friday ads don't look particularly promising unless we camp out @ Best Buy after the dishes are done Thursday. Considering building a Dell & spluring on a 24 inch widescreen monitor (& giving him my existing monitor) . May just wait until the dust settles mid-Dec...picked up a great deal on Toshiba laptop last year. Trying to avoid Vista, so many compatibility horror stories...not sure if we can network it to our existing wifi set up & not have problems...sigh.

DH's working "pre-time"; has to head into work @ 3:00 tomorrow

AM ...he's going to burn out if he doesn't stop with all this OT.

I consider myself an EOB (Equal Opportunity Boozer) I drink just as much at Disney Parks as I do at Universal, and few years back I would be pushing a stroller while doing my drinking. Guess that makes me one of those wasted boozers, but so be it.......

Hi all-
I am sorry I haven't responded to anyone. I have been extremely busy.
Yesterday was a disaster day Had to bring in our van to get fixed again I'm hoping it will be ready tonight for pick up. In the mean time yest, we took DH's car to visit his dad at the new nursing home he is at. FIL moved about 15 min away from us, instead of 2 hrs away.
We also had to do popcorn pick-up and my mom came today to pick up all the popcorn her coworkers ordered. This was for Matthew's cub scout fundraiser.
