Hey gang...just passing by on my way to the bedroom. Our weather has FINALLY broken. For the upcoming week, the highs are going to be in the upper 70's to lower 80's with chances of showers each day.

I wouldn't eat any of that stuff on Survivor...that's just gross!

Have a good night all!

There was a chill in the air this morning when I walked my dog. It was so NICE!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Allison - I was about to form a search party. Glad you're doing okay. Sounds like the youngest DS is really getting in to football. You do need to convince him though that he needs to play for the Sooners!!!

Sharon - Glad to hear MIL is on the way to recovery. Sorry about DH, hope you find out soon what is going on & it is nothing serious. Sounds like the college trip was great. I think the college by Daytona sounds perfect myself! And, yuck! Glad I wasn't watching Survivor!

Mac - So sorry you had to go back to work today. I hope your day was good & tomorrow is even better.

Gemma - I bet the hair is adorable. Let's see a pic!

Janet - I think the stuffed animals sound like a great idea for the special Halloween treats.

Katie, Jennifer, Rose, Barb, Tracie, Marcie, DM, Todd, our new buddies whose screen names I can't remember - Hi! Hope all is well in you parts of the world.

Damo - I hope you are feeling better. Just wanted to let you know I am thinking of you.

Tricia - I was talking to my sister today & told her what you said about Joshua. She said to ask if maybe he might be getting a lot of hand sanitizer used on him at school. I know there was a death & a couple of very ill little ones here in Oklahoma this year because the kids were using it themselves & were getting to much of it into their systems. Just something to check on.

Oh, and good luck to you with Mom living at the house. I could never, ever do that.

I'm finally sending you a package tomorrow. Sorry it has taken me so long.

Dang, I knew I was forgetting something -

Penny - I want some of that cake. And I am 29 forever just like Barb!

Hope I didn't forget anyone else.

Jodie - How is work going? Is FUG leaving you alone?

hey homies.......it is thursday, next is friday and the weekend begins
woo hoo !! :woohoo:

sharon, i know you are upset. you have been through a lot.
one of my sons had a torn muscle in the chest 2 years ago. took him to the emergency room in a chgo hospital as he thought he was having heart trouble.

after tests and observations, they concluded it was a torn muscle.
doc said it is very painful. makes it hard to take a deep breath.

now i forgot what i was going to say.

oh, i passed 29, so i can't be in the club.

taught geometry today and have the same class tomorrow.
it was supposed to be history this week for me at the high school but i was switched to the math department at the last minute.

Hey everyone! Really quick flyby!

Just got back from our Division Champs and the girls did AWESOME!! We didn't do well as a team, but all of the girls dropped time :woohoo:

One more week til Counties!

So with that said...have a good night everyone!

Mac tucked us in. I'll wish you a good morning.

Sharon and Barb - I am a HUGE Survivor fan. This is my must-see show. I have watched every episode for all the seasons. Normally the food challenges are gross - but, I couldn't believe the baby turtles. They looked so innocent.

Warm wishes and hugs to all who need them today - illness, job problems, etc.:wizard:  :grouphug:

Should be a nice easy day at work today - in the office, casual Friday, etc.

- Jennifer -

it is time to get your butts out of bed.
another work day........

I'm going shopping today....my lovely daddy has argreed to pay my rent!! How fabulous is he!! Going to get him something nice because I love him so much!!!

:rotfl2: We have watched every epidsode too.... :rotfl2: (I know, we're pathetic!) Actually, it's DH & I's "qt" time  We watch that and CSI and then head to bed (unless I haven't made DH's lunch for the next yet :rolleyes1 ) They kinda "slacked" on the food challenges lately....guess they realized and are bringing it back :confused3 Guess China is a 'good' country for uh, ahem, "cuisines"

auto pilot drive by hi:)

2 turkey breasts in the oven

waiting for call from oldest DS, supposed to close on his 1st home today; which means we assemble furniture tomorrow (not planning on carrying boxes...think you get a "bye" on that after 50). We'll assemble & feed;) the troops.

 i'm at the point where i'm considering adding 10 years to my age, so people will think i look good for it!
gemma - horray for big daddy:thumbsup2 big daddy to the rescue:dance3:

read a bit on calcification issues, seems to be low % of bad results; shall try & be zen-like; not an easy sell for we type A's

no survivor for me, did see pics of a scary skinny contestant though-yuck.

good friday to all!

Morning all!!

Tricia - I will keep my fingers crossed that it isn't a big deal. Be sure to look into what Lori said - we have alot of germ-o-phobe teachers in our school and they are very aggressive about sneezing (put your face in your shirt), hand washing, sanitizing. Still thinking about Carol and praying for an easier round of chemo this time.

mac - Have a great day at skool, don't let them make ya

barb - Have an awesome day and check in on yer laptop if ya can :thumbsup2

Janet - have fun feeding and assembling furniture.....tell DS I said CONGRATS!! Keeping Mom on my list for prayers, my Mom has calcifications all the time, plus a history of cancer in the lower bowel, so I know how scary it can be.

Sharon - OMGoodness, I hope everything gets better for DH. I know you are on edge with his history, maybe a muscle tear or a fractured rib? Glad to hear about MIL, many :goodvibes for a continued recovery.

Lori - Hello to you too!! :upsidedow

Todd and DM - glad to hear the weather is a changing for you guys :cool1: :cool1: And just in time for Mike's weekend at the HRH!!!:thumbsup2

Gemma - what a wonderful Daddy:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 I want to see a pic of that haircut too!!!

Allison, Katie, Jodie, Jennifer, Marcie and Penny - Hey There!!! Hope you all have a great Friday and an even better weekend!!!!!

Did I forget anyone?? If so, I blame it on the low level of coffee ingested so far!!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Have a great day!! :flower3: :flower3:

Hi Guys! Quick flyby since the kids are off school yesterday and today so of course things are crazy. Youngest DS got home from camp Wednesday night, got him cleaned and ready, and he's off in Madison with dad now for the honors musical festival for the next couple days. Dropped oldest DS off at school; he's also going to Madison, but only for the day (DS12 is there over night) and they're getting bused both ways.

So I'm home with DS14 and we have a ton of stuff to do, plus we're meeting friends for lunch. Luckily he's not up yet, so I have some time to catch up! Then we have his friend coming over later (different friends than lunch) and spending the night and we all leave for Six Flags (after getting DS15's GF - for some reason her dad wouldn't let her spend the night! :confused3 ) at 6:30 tomorrow morning!

Mac - are you still up for getting together at all? Our plan is to be there before opening and head to Superman and Raging Bull first. Guessing after last time that you'd rather skip that part. Then I'll send DS15 and GF off on their own (primary instructions - "don't get her pregnant") and maybe catch them for lunch later. If you want to meet up any time after that (I'm guessing it'll be 10ish by that point), I can dump the younger two kids and just hang with you or we can follow them and watch/ride what they do. We could also meet for lunch in there sometime if that would be easier. I don't really know where there is to eat - we've always either just brought food and gone back out to the car or stayed in town and eaten out there, but I think we'll be stuck eating in the park this time - joy! We plan to leave by 4 or so at the latest.

DH is getting extremely frustrated. After bidding on and winning a pair of tickets to the Packers/Broncos game for Monday, we haven't heard ANYTHING from the seller in the nearly 48 hours since then. He's hoping they were sent out yesterday overnight (which he paid for) and we should get them today, but none of us will be here tomorrow to get them if they don't come today and then he leaves Sunday. He got the contact info and has left emails and phone messages for the guy, asking if he didn't send them yet to hold them and he'd pick them up in Denver Monday, but he hasn't replied at all! :scared1: Yes, he's stressing out! Especially since ticket prices are really going up now based on the first 2 world series games - think folks are getting scared there won't be a game 5 and they should just stick with the Monday Night Football instead!

Sorry no individual replies - I'll catch up someday!

Heavens to Betsy, you folks did some chatting since I left!

Today is my clean, cook (must leave a gluten-free food supply for the in laws), pack, prepare, and maintain my sanity day.

Chicken & Veggies are in the Crock Pot, so I'm on my way food-wise (will leave them a roast in it tomorrow... should be enough for them to eat off of for 2 days... I hope...). Laundry has been running non-stop since yesterday morning, so making a dent there. I seem to be holding the sickies at bay with Zicam (or Tracie scared them off). Checked the weather for the weekend in Hampton (Georgia... that's where the racetrack is...) and the forecast looks good... highs around 70, sunny, 10% chance of rain.

Maybe, just maybe, we'll be able to pull this fun adults only weekend off. (Knock wood, fingers crossed, whatever voodoo wards off Murphy)

quick check in from work on my break.

marcie, i love the big coasters. last time i took a pass on it as i had a bag with me.

this time i will go with nothing to carry.

will see you there!

i'm also going tonight at 5:00

My goodness! How does anyone keep up on this thread?!

Tricia, I hope Joshua is OK (heavy menstrual flow.... I would freak if my mom said something like that to Mike. OK, I wouldn't. He is used to my family now.)

Not to make this about me at all ... but can I share a similar, funny story?

It was my first Thanksgiving in my new house. I was 26, and my boyfriend was living with me (not Mike  ). Anyway, my family and Rob's (my ex) family all came over for the holiday. This meant my parents, my aunt and uncle, cousins, my grandparents, his parents, his sister and her fiance. It was the first time our two families were celebrating together.

After dinner, my folks, his parents, and my aunt and uncle were sitting around the table, and us "kids" were in the den.

From the den, we hear my aunt say, "The other day I had a hemorrhoid, and when I looked at it in the mirror, it was long and purple."

Knowing my aunt, my sister and I tried to stifle a laugh, but I am pretty sure that Rob, his sister and her fiance were appalled and disgusted.

That was our last Thanksgiving together .... :rolleyes1

Lori, thanks for asking about FUG ... we also call him RIP, as in "retired-in-place." Sad that someone could be that way, eh? How are you doing?

Janet, you're crazy. I have no idea how old you are, but I think you look great, and more importantly like you're lots of fun. Fun keeps you young forever! Say your age loud and proud, baby!

Gemma, that's great about your dad. And I want to see a pic of your new 'do as well!

Mac, have fun @ skool! What did you think of the Damages finale?

Barb and Sharon, geez ... Survivor is another show I don't watch. Guess I'm a contrarian. :upsidedow

Penny, loved your 39 Forever pic! Red is definitely your color... and that cake looked awesome. BTW, your house always looks like it's immaculate. As much as I enjoy our chatting here, you can never come to my house ... Mike and I are messy, messy! You'd be disgusted!

Marcie, have a great weekend ... and I do want to see pics!

Hi Tracie, Allison, Jennifer, Katie, Todd, Jim, Sue, Billy Bob, Tiffany, Madison, Arnold, Harry!

Anyway, hope EVERYONE has a great weekend! xx
