dutchman was indeed mad, mad as a hatter

who in their right mind is going to keep berating @ a guy with tools in his hands:rolleyes1 im just sayin...people have snapped for less...not u donald:thumbsup2 good job keeping ur cool & letting him know the customer is always #1;) . me thinks a day @ U is in order to blow off some steam.:goodvibes

No just a handshake deal-COD kinda thing,he dont havea leg to stand on at all..
If he tries the #1 card on me Daisy was with me and heard all the barrage of comments he was giving me forat least 10min!!Now burnning rubber out of there was childish I know!!

Its one of thos things that ruin your whole day!!

Good evening all!!

Hope Ya'LL dont mind me venting alittle about my job..

Today I had three shower door installs to do,well I started with hardest one first. The first hole I drilled into the tile it cracked(didnt do the tile on this)..The whole time the homeowner looking over my shoulder.
He went off on me cursing and all.Thats fine I got broud shoulders.
I took the tile out and there was no backer behind it,showed him that.
He says you Americans dont do anything right he is Dutch..Now I'm mad!!
I said tell you what here is $20 for your tile and have a great day..
He wouldnt let it go the whole time I was putting up my tools in the truck he was giving it to me left and right..
I finnaly had enough and told him find someone who is Dutch to do it thats the only way your going to be happy..
He said see you in court and I told him he was #1 by hand and drove off with some rubber on the pavement!!

What would you have done???

i read it twice before i figured out what the number 1 was......:rotfl:
i plead blondeness.......

donald, i don't think anyone should have to put up with profanity being yelled in their face.
and i don't feel anyone should be insulted and degraded because they are an american.

You should tell your boss that the man went off on you like he was nuts and full of rage. tell the boss you couldn't stay there as you felt threaten.

did you get a receipt for that 20 you gave him??? :rolleyes1

you asked what would we do.......

if i was being belittled because i am an american and swore at, i would have left immediately. i probably would have told him something that he would remember me by.

you know, some people call the po po on people that rant at them like he did to you. and, if you press charges on him, it would stick.

I threw the twenty on the counter, and packed my tools.I should have called the po-po but I was on his property. He could of got me for tresspassing So just another butt head that dont like Americans..
Sorry there is alot of peeps from Europe that post here, but there is no need to put me or my country down.I dont do that too anyone-americam-Russian Dutch they should treat everyone the same like I do thats all:thumbsup2 !!

evening all. Mother went to her sister's to eat (I don't like lasgna very much), so here listening to the TV as I surf the interwebs. I had BK, their new buger shots. Not bad.

I agree...you were doing him a favor and the tile wasn't installed correctly to begin with...probably hired someone on the side who didn't know what he was doing! I have heard of people showing other drivers they are #1 and that person got their plate # and had them arrested...and charges brought! :sad2: Be careful.

Unless there is a written contract, I'm going to guess that is the end of it.

Hey homies I'm gonna get this day behind me..:thumbsup2
Thanks for listening to my ranting..
Goodnight all!!
I know I will sleep good tonight just knowing I did the best I could..:cloud9:

Okay, it's late and I just got home for the first time since 9am, so I'll make this quick. Stephen did stay home dying today  and insists it didn't help any and he still feels just as bad. Told him go to bed cause he's going to school tomorrow! :rotfl:

Meanwhile, at the conference with the band teacher, we got the full scoop on Eric's injury. Yes, of course we hadn't been given all the details. Guess the band teacher had walked by the group of kids shortly before Eric got hurt and saw them all there. Want to guess what they were doing? :rolleyes1 Yes, you will NEVER guess! They were all sitting on the ground, in the HIGH SCHOOL foyer, playing a rousing game of......Duck, Duck, Goose! :rotfl2:

The teacher said he considered asking them to stop, but since he knew all the kids involved (and they were all good kids), AND it's a game that kids generally can play safely by the time they're in kindergarten ;) he decided not to bother them. Yes, only my kid can end up with 5 stitches playing duck, duck, goose! :sad2:

Everyone have a great Friday! I'm going to spend the day packing for our camping (yes, you read that right!) trip this weekend. Going up to the cabin on Lake Michigan with no electricity and no bathroom. Oh, and bringing both girlfriends along. Should be a fun weekend! :scared1:

Donald - that guy's attitude is totally unacceptable. I hope you don't have any fall-out at work over this jerk.

Had a busy day today. Needed to relax so I baked (just something I do when I'm stressed.) I finally downloaded the recipe for Chocolate Grand Marnier Souflee from Emeril's Restaurant at Universal. Came out really well. None of them fell. The sauce is outstanding. I now have a little piece of US resort that I can break out after a bad day. Not only does it taste good, but it has good memories attached to it.

I would post the recipe, but I would feel guilty after seeing that healthy soup recipe from Rapstar.

Mwahahahahahaha! I am the guilt imposer.

Sorry, I'm a little tired right now. Hi, Nikki! My name's Robbie.......but everyone here calls me Andy. I'd love to hear the recipe.....not that I'm any good at cooking anything. I can boil water and brown ground beef and that's about it!

OK, Mr. Guilt Imposer. Here is the recipe. It sounds difficult, but it was cooked and in my tummy in under an hour. Not a very difficult recipe, but packs a punch. DH and I both think it tastes just like at Emeril's. This came from his web site.

Hawaiian Vintage Chocolate Chocolate Souffle with Grand Marnier Chocolate Sauce
Ingredients
• 2 teaspoons unsalted butter, softened
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 8 ounces Hawaiian Vintage Chocolate semisweet chocolate, chopped fine
• 4 large egg whites
• 3 large egg yolks
• 1/4 cup Grand Marnier
• 3/4 cup Chocolate Grand Marnier Sauce
• Confectioners sugar for dusting

• GRAND MARNIER CHOCOLATE SAUCE:
• 1/4 cup heavy cream
• 1 1/2 teaspoons Grand Marnier
• 3/4 teaspoon sugar
• 4 ounces Hawaiian Vintage Chocolate semisweet chocolate, finely chopped
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400ºF.

Butter 4 individual ramekins and sprinkle with about 1 teaspoon sugar each.

Melt the chocolate in the top of a double boiler set over simmering water, stirring occasionally until smooth. Remove from heat.

In a bowl beat the egg whites with 1/4 cup of the sugar until stiff and glossy.

Whisk the egg yolks into the melted chocolate one at a time, add the Grand Marnier, and whisk in the remaining 2 tablespoons sugar. Fold in the egg whites until thoroughly blended. Transfer mixture to ramekins and place on a baking sheet. Bake until puffed and somewhat firm, about 20 minutes. While soufflés are baking, prepare the Grand Marnier Chocolate Sauce and keep warm until soufflés are ready to serve.

GRAND MARNIER CHOCOLATE SAUCE:
In a saucepan over high heat combine cream, Grand Marnier and sugar. Bring to a boil, remove from heat and stir in chocolate immediately, stirring until chocolate is completely melted. Keep warm in a double boiler or bain marie or serve immediately.

Yield: about 3/4 cup

The only other suggestion I would make is to serve it with vanilla ice cream, like they do the Vahlrona Chocolate Souffle at California Grill. Emeril's is so rich, I think the ice cream would be good. Then again, I think everything is better with ice cream. Oh, and tequila too. Everything is better with tequila.

lol, the one time I tried to do a shot of tequila, I could not swallow it. I can do vodka though, but I'm really not a big drinker. Did you use the Hawaiian Vintage chocolate or did you substitute it with a more common brand?

u read me wrong...i wasn't infering that he/customer was #1 in any sense other that the universal sign u gave him:laughing:

hope ur feeling better about it today, consider the source
