Where is the unsubscribe button for winter please

Heck on a deck!!!!

I`d have been hibernating!!

I love all my homies
They made me a part in their lives

I share my life with them because it’s my family

Tomorrow afternoon I am having surgery at 1, please have a silent prayer for me.

If you are not one that believes in prayer then just think of kind thoughts for me or spend a few minutes of what you will have for dinner

Food is something that never upsets peeps.

My doctor today has found I have an embolism and treatment starts tomorrow.

It’s going to be a rushed procedure

mac, best of luck today with the procedure, they can do wonders with things like that today compared to before, hopefully yours will be an easy fix!!!

Will be thinking of you of course!!

Up far too early this morning for some reason, another cool day ahead for us, and days ahead it looks like a lot of rain and high winds at times, so plenty of time to get all my cards done and the rest of my gifts wrapped, although I do have more presents to buy than I thought! oops.

Dreaded dental appointment today, then meeting some friends for lunch for our first seasonal lunch of the year, most places run a Christmas menu alongside their regular menu`s, but if there`s a special dish with cranberry sauce, I`ll normally opt for that, love it.

Need to do a little shopping too, I don`t bake for us for Christmas, but we have a lot of Christmas Fayre`s and charity events coming up, so that keeps me out of mischief for a while and as always as it gets nearer to Christmas I always bake goodies for Kyle`s office colleagues and enjoy doing that too all year round, but make a special effort at Christmas. So I need to make sure I have plenty of ingredients especially butter, we use a lot of butter!!!!

Although it`s not icy this morning will be using the remote start for the car so it`s warm and cosy getting in it when we do go out, can`t beat having that toy for the car!!

Had some tea and a mini croissant at 6am, but usual poached eggs later with breakfast, lunch out so light snack later tonight if we need it. But, second pot of tea coming up, mini pot of course as it`s just me right now!

Have a lovely Wednesday, will be wrapping up warm here for sure, one of the good things in winter is new coats, boots, hats and scarves!!!

Quick stop in!

Very uninteresting evening. Whipped up a quick dinner last night, then I also made some nanner bread and muffins. I was hoping to have a good chin waggle chat with my youngest sister, but she was busy last night. Such an exciting evening on a stormy winter night.

Woke up to a nice layer of freezing rain on my car. We don't have a garage ( think small 1970's bungalow) so all out vehicles sit outside in the elements. So that was fun - to scrape windows :rolleyes2 before I could drive away.

ugh. Good luck at the dentist today. I hope it goes well for you.

Well off to get some things done here now. We are hoping to start the Xmas decorating the unit.

Have a great day everyone :wave2:

I like chin waggle, in Scotland we say a good old chin wag.....same, but different.

Nope that is far too cold for humans!! We watched a documentary recently on Oymyakon, now that is nithering!!! It`s the coldest inhabited place on earth, won`t be planning a trip there anytime soon!!

Thanks, it did go well :)

Yep, my dentist was very proud of me this morning and I almost got a well done button!!! Horrible impression went fine with no issues, now awaiting the final fitting, might be before Christmas or maybe not. Either way I can wait.

Then headed to lunch with some of the gang, had a festive dinner for lunch, so no need for food tonight apart from a cuppa and some toast maybe but it was a lovely day and we had a very long drawn out lunch that was a lot of fun. First Christmas lunch/dinner of the festive season so far.

It is so cold out there though, rain tonight though.

Settling down to watch a Lindsey Lohan Netflix Christmas movie, sounds awful, but it`s not too bad to be fair.

Tomorrow, will get some cards posted away with some parcels too, but most parcels are hand delivered or will be taken up to Scotland when we go up.

Tea or wine......decisions!!

Quick evening post. I have not felt well all day. I woke up with an upset stomach and now have a headache. Hopefully I will feel better after a night’s sleep.
Just wanted to offer prayers and well wishes for those facing surgery, medical procedures, dental procedures, etc.
Dh has to get another crown. I think he has the worst teeth of anyone I have known.

I’m off to find some Tylenol.

Charade, I believe I might top your husband out on the teeth saga.
Not that I want to win the prize on who has the worst teeth or less teeth.

I have zero bottom teeth on the right side and canceled future plans for anymore work to be done.
Have too much bone loss at this point to enjoy steak.

My food/meals all are boring dinners now.
I have a limited diet now since my molars were pulled out.
My cats have more teeth than me now.

Soup and noodles and soft foods are my major food groups.

The only bright side to my dental issues is I am not fat as I used to be.

Hope you feel better Charade, doesn`t sound like much fun at all. I think headaches can be absolutely dreadful and some are dismissed as "just a headache" but they are miserable. Sometimes a good nights sleep is a cure all!!

Teeth issues are not fun either. Hope your husband gets his crown with no issues too.

I had a piece of bone grafted in to my gum with this latest implant, not an issue and has worked well apparently. On the final run now towards getting this second implant, looking forward to it.

How did the surgery go yesterday, I was thinking of you at 6pm our time, hope it went well anyway.

Not sure why I`ve been awake since around 4am, couldn`t get back over so just came downstairs, made a cuppa and listened to the radio, it is very calming music they play at that time of the morning. Picked up a book on the sofa and read that for a time and then remembered an email I wanted to write, so did that and now it`s almost 8am!

Still pitch black outside of course, some rain later and then rain and high winds for tomorrow, and not much better next few days.

Some grocery shopping today then onto Farm Store for produce and home I think, need to contact one of my friends I haven`t seen in a while, ironically the one who only lives about 15 minutes from me! Still need to think about dinner tonight, no idea what we fancy yet.

Happy Thursday!!!

Mac, sending prayers you are feeling better today.

Cool weather here. 43 degrees when I came in, with wet roads, and a bit of raindrops seen on my windshield when I got into it. Was a very dark skied ride. But the rain had been gone by the time I commuted, and now, it’s gusty winds with the temps dropping. Almost 5 hours after being here, and we are down to 36 degrees now. And weee, a clearing of the skies as we dip down to a low of 26 degrees in the overnight hours of tomorrow.

Ah, any wet remaining, will certainly be frozen soon. Hoping no icy spots when I do that afternoon commute.

Sigh. Time of year, I leave in the pitch dark, come home in the darkness of the ending of the daylight. But at least the month, we get the shortest daylight day, but then start longer daylight days after before it ends.

Yay for Keisha having mouse fun. Yum. That cake looks delicious. Little one wants to eat at that steak place, so I’m going to make sure if we do, may order that chocolate cake. To go. Lol

Hope you are felling better, Charade. Tummy issues gone, as well as headache gone.

Sigh. Older one feeling better, enough he went in. Me? Started with a sore throat the other day, and have now went through a box of tissues. Negative test, but I’m sure I caught whatever this cold type is, from somewhere else. Been taking drugs, so hope I’m also on the mend soon.

Ooh maybe no lunchtime outside walk for me. 40 mph winds, with a 19 degree feel like right now. And by lunchtime, will be 32 degrees outside. Brr time. So yeah, agree Keisha, even 50 degrees, and sunny weather is better than here. Heck, shorts will be seen in my area, if we had that temp today. Glad to hear warming up there.

Back to back morning meetings. Ah yes, back to week day routine I still am. But a yay, as payday tomorrow. I certainly need more tea. Meant to pick up more tea, as out of this morning, but was feeling crappy enough, late night, ate dinner, and went to bed and picked up none. Will stop to pick up after my salon visit on my way back out of the city.

Looks lovely Janet!!!

I`ve never had a chocolate martini in my life, must try one sometime, I always think it`ll be too sweet for me. I think Kyle would love that cake and yes food does sound good there.

Tuna looks beautiful, I do love a nice fresh tuna!! And heck on a deck what the christmas cake is that santa like???? He`s almost like a santa from a bad German Christmas horror movie!!!

Glad you`re having such a lovely day and yes our friends said it`s going to warm up, too cold for them up till now.

Yes, both implants have been flawless really and not uncomfortable at all, well maybe the impressions, but as I said to you, it wasn`t so bad yesterday, and I`d get another if I had to without hesitation. It`s not the traumatic process I initially heard from several peeps. I wa sin for thirty minutes yesterday and he got the nasty one out of the way first, the rest of the prep was pain free and not too bad at all. I`d recommend implants to anyone who needs them especially at the front.

mac, glad to see you`re up and about after surgery.....hope you`re doing good. Email is playing up right now but will get back to you.

Heck.....I do say heck and yep a lot don`t I!!!! Must come up with something more unique and inimitable!

And tea, hmmmm. Yes, what does one say there

It`s been a funny day weather wise, damp and dark most of the afternoon. I had my friend Sue round today, she brought a lovely Victoria sponge she baked, she is the best baker I know and it`s one of Tom`s favourite cakes so we did indulge.

Made a chicken casserole for dinner tonight but mixed cranberry sauce through the gravy so it`s quite sweet, but tempered with some hot spice, it will be gorgeous! Mashed potato and some leeks too to go with it, looking forward to that and we have a slice of victoria sponge for later too.

Then a Christmas movie, I think we have one for almost night till the 23rd, maybe some old black and white for a winters afternoon too, The Ghost Breakers and Cat and the Canary are two classics with Bob Hope.

But, Tom is making us a pot of tea right now, fresh tea, not a bag in sight.

Happy Thirsty Thursday 🫖

Quick morning stop in!

Quiet night last night. Whipped up some dinner while the guys were moving snow again :sad2: The city had the graters out to clear the snow and instead of scraping the street - they piled it on the sides by the sidewalk 🥴 And by the time we got home from work it was too hard and froze to even try to use the snowblower on it. So dh and son moved more snow on the side of the driveway to make up for the piled now that took away 2 parking spots. Anyways -stepping off my soapbox rant lol.

I did whip up a couple loaves of bread though :rolleyes1 I may have had a slice while it was still warm with some cheese whiz on it lol. Gotta love the plastic cheese.

I have not felt well all day
I hope you start to feel better soon. There always seems like there is something going around.
Have too much bone loss at this point to enjoy steak.
You are not the first person I have heard where that has happened to them. Some people genetically have teeth worse than others. I'm very blessed that way. Thank goodness I have amazingly good teeth with my deep fear of dentists. People can talk about how great this certain dentist is....and I'm like....NOPE, hard stop! lol
On the final run now towards getting this second implant, looking forward to it.
Just thinking of that, has my anxiety at it's highest level. I would rather jump off a building that go through something like that. I would need to have anesthesia and be knocked out for something like that to happen.
have a great day all, stay warm
I am super envious!!!!! Enjoy alllllllllllllll the moments!!!!!!!!! Love the pictures!
I caught whatever this cold type is
Ugh. Tis the season of colds/flu. Get better soon.

Well, Off to find something to do.

Have a great day everyone!

I don`t think I ever tried cheese whiz either? Not sure I`d like it, but you never know!

Weather sounds awful Pumpkin, our gritters are very good, but we don`t deal with anything quite like you get. A good soapbox rant is good now and again.

I have a dreadful fear of dentists, all done to childhood experiences, our dentist was known as the Butcher, says it all really!! The school dentist was also horrible and I was not allowed to return to that one after I screamed the place down, she smacked my legs for crying and I don`t remember this, but I bit her apparently!!

My dentist now is lovely, and so was the one before him who we had for years. I wasn`t sure about this guy to begin with but really like him now and he is very sensitive to how nervous I am and him and his dental nurse are wonderful really. I have been sedated on several occasions, but for this, it`s not necessary. I`m very brave apparently:rotfl:

You are very lucky to have good teeth, but it is such a horrible phobia, folks that have never experienced that type of fear will never understand.

Well, I think I`m going to make that chicken dish a regular weekly meal, gorgeous!!! Then chatted to my sister for a time, bless her she has to deal with my aunt`s funeral as she was the contact as my aunt was in a care home, she never married nor had children. Last thing she needs to be doing.

Rain is bouncing down and it looks horrible out there, our village had it`s Christmas light switch on tonight with some fun things planned, everyone including Father Christmas would have been drenched, such a shame. We didn`t go but did donate some prizes for the raffles and some baking for the hall buffet.

Hoping the storm predicted for this weekend isn`t as bad as forecast!

Movie time I think now!!

Well, I'm back again. I really enjoyed reading all of you guys posts while I was unable to participate. I feel good enough to talk about it now, and it's nice to have you all on this board to talk with. He had his brain radiation today and is awaiting other re
Prayers for your brother Ruth.

Despite all the delays, I am glad he got the treadmill that he wanted, and that he is doing better. I hope your daughter in law's surgery for her knees goes well and she doesn't have to wait too long.
We got the treadmill delivered yesterday evening and hubby has already used it and likes it.

Robo: My grandson has UC and is having another acute flare up. He has lost so much weight, again, and can't keep anything inside. He is trying to live a normal life with working every day, but it is a struggle. The doctor won't change his med, even though it's not working.
He has an appointment at the Mayo Clinic in Minneapolis in January, and I can't wait for him to see one of their doctors. Maybe they can help him. It's rough watching him go through this.
How long have you had it and are you on meds now. You can PM me if you don't want to talk about it online. Thanks.
I’am sorry to hear you grandson is struggling with a flare up of his UC. I know as a grandmother it is hard for you to see him going through this.

That doctor should change his meds if they are not working. I hope he gets the intervention he needs at Mayo. The docs there are very thorough and should help him.

I was diagnosed later than the typical. I was 45. I have already had a foot and a half of my large intestine removed do to an ulcer that would not heal a number of years ago. I have had multiple repairs to my abdomen because of that initial surgery. I’am on two meds that so far are helping me. The problem is with UC what works for one person might not work for another. Things have been quiet for me during the summer and early fall.

I hope Mayo can find some medications to help your poor grandson. I will be praying for him.

Our new great granddaughter arrived on November 22nd. She has dark brown hair and is so cute. Her name is Eleanor Diane. She is named after grandmothers.
Having a new baby around helps with what we are going through. I made a blanket earlier and will take that when we visit this Friday:) Roger, Robin, and I are making the 2 1/2 hour trip to see the little one, and I can't wait!

Have a good rest of the week everyone
What a beautiful name and special that they are grandmothers names. Enjoy your visit with your sweet great-granddaughter.

Good luck on Friday, hope the sinuses are clear by then. Tummy issues are no joke, yes, fingers crossed all goes well for you.
Thank you Carole.

Nice pictures. All your food looks yummy. That is a tall slice of chocolate cake.

Sounds like some really good food.

Pumpkin I think I would have to be dressed like a StayPuft Marshmallow in that cold weather.

Hubby is enjoying his new treadmill. I think it will work in strengthening his legs for sure.

I made enough Christmas cookie trays for the family to share at their work places for their Christmas parties. Granddaughter and her hubby came by to pick them up this evening. They will deliver them for me on their way home. I gave them plenty to have at home too.

IMG_2680.jpeg

I made Cranberry orange cookies, Cherry cookies with lemon drizzle, Pecan Tassies, Preserve thumbprint cookies with vanilla drizzle , Peanut butter buddy bars and Peanut butter cookies.

Just liquids for me this evening as have EGD in early am. Granddaughter is coming by to take me. We have to be there at 6:15 am. Procedure is at 7:30. Will be glad to get it over first thing in the morning. Then back home. So early to bed tonight.

Going to take a nice long hot bath then going to bed.

I hope everyone has a good rest of the evening.

Best wishes for today, hope it goes well for you and not too uncomfortable and you have the rest of the day to recover, I do prefer an earlier appointment in the day.

Calm before the storm here, chilly, sunny and quite pleasant, but we know we have 60mph winds coming this weekend and a lot of rain!!

So, no plans to go out over the weekend, Kyle is coming on Sunday for lunch and then the GP and he has two of his running club`s Christmas parties on Saturday, one he`ll go from about 3 then go to the other around 7, they have the meal, so he gets the best of both worlds. He doesn`t drink so can drive between the two places easily.

Grilled sandwiches for lunch, turkey, brie and cranberry and we have some lovely filets for dinner tonight, Tom will cook them rare for us and I`ll do the sides, will be an early dinner as we`re going to Kyle`s later, always look forward to that.

I picked up our tray of 30 eggs from the farm and picked up some veg from their farm store while we were there, bought some celeriac, see how we get on with that!!!

Kettle on for our lunchtime pot of tea, and I`ll get the sandwiches grilled as Tom is due home soon, he was back volunteering this morning, coming up to one of the busiest times for charities. We have donated toys to several local charities so far including a couple of shoe boxes donations, such good causes, but more coming up.

But, Friday again and it`s the weekend!!!!

Weather. 29 out at 10 am this morning. Older one was out the door, but glad with both of us having the same start time today, I was the teleworking one. Just so nice and warm inside.

At least his car has an heated steering wheel, which my car does not. But ack, that wind is still gusting enough, that 29 feels like 18 degrees. Brr, a very cool start to our December. But at least that glorious winter sunshine, with that light blue clear skies, is what we also have. Woot! Sunglasses to rock, with my winter jacket and my wool pants to go out to do a lunch pick up, for my twice as long lunch break today.

Payday, shortest week day routine day, and full day of sunshine, so what a great Friday. Woot!

Most Fabulous Friday and Most Wonderful Weekend to all.

And hehe, the last Friday I have that week day routine this month. ::yes::

:rockband: —— Friday is here!
