Something About Nothing............ #14

@Lynne G great pic! I’m so looking forward to it! Sounded like a fun pool day!

@schumigirl we love our farm eggs! And frequently enjoy eggs for breakfast. Not today though. Smoothies for breakfast today with fresh picked blueberries!

@Pumpkin1172 was that a threat? Road Trip! The temps here cooled down a lot the past couple of days. I swear the weather is trying to kill us, can’t decide if it will roast us or freeze us. Well freezing may be a stretch lol, but after roasting it does feel cold. But refreshing. No rain for us. So dry. The new normal.

@Charade67 have fun on your trip! A friend went to Boston and did the Liberty Trail. They loved Boston. So much history there.
Yes we got some answers. Basically he’s recovering from some virus and may take a few more weeks. There is some improvement. I’ve noticed he’s getting his appetite back to the past 2 days. Always a good sign.
I feel your pain. I haven’t been sleeping well either. But that’s nothing new for either of us! Ugh.
Love the Haiku lol!

@Lynne G have a good night! Guess it’s 11pm for you!

Nothing much today. Took oldest to dentist and dropped her off on the way to Winners. Canada‘s TJ Max. Hoped to find a large suitcase to replace the one the baggage handlers killed. But didn’t find anything I liked. However a quick perusal of the skincare section I spotted Algenist face cream for $39, $130 at Sephora so I picked it up. Never tried it so we’ll see. I’m out of night cream. I was going to wait for Sephora 25% off Fresh Lotus night cream but will give this a go. If I don’t like it the Fresh sale is on the 15th.

Wednesday is hair touch up day! Always perks me up! Have a morning appointment. Nothing much tomorrow. I’ll try to keep it that way! Although I’m feeling Iike a Trader Joes/Costco trip across the border! However Pumpkin May make good on her threat!

Share your secret on how you can go to bed and fall asleep as quickly as you do!

I had a hard time getting to sleep at night for years off and on but I would sleep eventually on my own

but now it’s impossible to have any sleep unless I am medicated.since brother died.
I whined to my doctor that since brother died, I just can’t get rest no matter what.

I am starting sleeping pills and will see if that helps me get shut eye.

I am hopeful that this will be the night that will allow me to conk out before it is midnight

I blinked...and the weekend was over!

It was a hot wonderful weekend! Saturday - the boys and dh went fly fishing and I just got to have a lazy day! I did a few things, but honestly, I enjoyed lots of down time as well. Tried a new meal that I seen since they didn't bring home any fish.

Yesterday was even hotter - and we all went fishing in the boat at the lake where our former lake lot is. It was the perfect way to spend the day - on the water. We all caught lots of fish. Sadly no keepers as we have size slots that the fish have to measure. I did catch a big northern pike - jackfish as we call them. We haven't seen on that size on that lake for at least 15+ years. It was a fun day.

Today is a bit cooler - but I feel the humidity today - for us. Our area is typically quite dry - like desert dry air. It is that perfect thunderstorm breeding day. Hopefully it holds off until I'm done my walk tonight.

Boston is also on my bucket list as well! I think there are so many interesting US cities I would love to visit.
Yay...on the DC plans so far.

Sounds like a great way to spend a hot summer day!

She is BEAUIFUL!!!!! We have a few little herds that have adapted to city life. They will use our street to access the river/creek area that runs through our city I always look forward to seeing them walking down our street. They like to eat from the different berry and crabapple trees on our street.

I hope you didn't overdo it toooo much. I totally relate to the thinking I can do more - then regretting it later. Take it easy - and find a new binge worthy series to watch. I loved Sweet Magnolias, Outlander, Suits are a few that I love on Netflix. I hope you start feeling better soon! Even though I want to hop in my car and drive the 11-12 hrs to come help out and MAKE sure you take it easy!

You live in an amazingly beautiful part of the world. I would love to be able to do my walks on the shorefront! I hope your dinner was amazing!

Well, I should find a few things to keep me busy!

Have a great day everyone!

Fishing sounds like fun! Tom used to fish years ago, well, he went a few times and caught a very nice trout apparently, it was before I met him but not something he ever took up. Sounds very relaxing though, but down time is also lovely!

Dinner was nice thanks......:)

A quick good evening post. Nothing interesting to report today. I had another terrible nights sleep. I fall asleep, get woken up less than an hour later, then can’t get back to sleep again.

Hope you got good answers today.

Yes, I liked her much better than Laura’s 2 original assistants.

Now we need to plan what we want to do. I wanted to go to the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, but they are still not doing public tours.

There are several places I want to visit too. We have spent most of our time in the southeast. I need to see more of the rest of the country.

Hoping I will sleep better tonight. I have a feeling this will be me in the morning.

I don`t remember the other assistants, but it must be 30 years since I watched it!

Hope you slept better last night.

Hope you slept too mac....I have to admit we both sleep like we`re in the crypt! Not much disturbs us, but with the stress you`ve been under, a little help might do you the world of good, sleep cures a lot, it`s my answer to everything!!!

Enjoyed another lovely walk this morning, thought the rain was going to come down, but it didn`t happen. It was weirdly hot and cool at the same time, but sun is out now and it`s lovely out there now.

Came home, showered then made the preparations for quiche for dinner tonight, made the pastry, it`s blind baking right now, then made the bacon, mushroom and leek filling. Will do the egges, cheese and milk when we get home. Although we are now going out for lunch before the cinema.....two friends decided to tag along to see Insidious with us today so we`ll meet them for a light lunch first. We did laugh as he suggested McDonalds :scared1: I think he was joking as he knows I`d rather eat my own arm as go there and he knows it, his wife is the same. So there`s a little place close by that only does appetisers, so we`ll go there. I did tell them not to plan to bring candy that has wrappers, drinks they can slurp or anything else that makes a noise in the cinema......they`re the same though hate annoying things like that.

Dinner if we need it will be the quiche, some coleslaw and side salad.

Looking forward to the movie today, I`m sure there`s a few jump scares in it!!!

Have a wonderful Tuesday :cheer2:

Oh Mac, agree, stressfulness can disturb sleep patterns. Yeah, our bodies need that deep sleep to re-energize the body. Nothing wrong with using meditation, if it helps you get shuteye. And a nap earlier in the day. Nothing wrong with a nap either. There are times I can’t go back to sleep, but with a more and more restless bedmate, it’s important I do get at least some deep sleep. Hehe, and my mom used to take a big glass of wine to help her sleep. If alcohol will help, why not try it, Mac?

But as he and I are both early risers, we both are up and have been screen viewing. Very quiet day, not as many birds as traffic heard as we got up. Yep, week day it is.

And a Tuesday too. Yep, Mac gets to maybe go to Taco Bell for a meal today.

That’s right, a Taco Tuesday is here, where tacos are the meal of the day. Have some and raise it as a toast, as almost the middle of this week. Camel is saying he’s enjoying the last of the full day of clear blue skies and sunshine already pouring through the windows today. Hotter day for us today and tomorrow. Yep, 90 degrees this afternoon. But what a clear sky in the overnight get us? Yep, no need for that AC last night. 64 degrees out right now. Natural AC. How nice is that?

Ooh first we got I95 missing a bridge and blocked highway, now we get a rather very large sinkhole on I202, and now that highway is blocked right near our county courthouse. That will certainly make the small streets around it so full of traffic. We sometime use that highway to get to the huge mall, when up further North, so it’s almost a straight shot road to that huge mall. Will stay away from that part of the missing highway. Will take a longer time to repair the hole. Last one we had on a main route near the sad looking mall, that has a D&B, the only reason we go there anymore. But that sinkhole repair took 5 or so years. And it made traffic a huge mess while it was out. This new sinkhole will be just as bad.

Ah and that brings me to I guess a good thing the virus has given us. With technology at the most advanced as we are, had shown connectivity was possible no matter where you lived. And forever changed traditional in office jobs. And I am very thankful my week day routine now only has to deal with that city traffic once a week. And because of the need to be in person sometimes, we can change our normal in office day. So happy to be no commuting today.

And tea for me, and back to that screen. Hope all have a most terrific Taco Tuesday🌮.

Well scratch the sleep aids I took last night.
I woke up before the cats did this morning, which was 5:30
geez louise..

A friend texted me to go for the Jack Daniels.

I should have thought of that!

Jack Daniels is an excellent medication mac!!

JD with honey is even better…..it is medicinal in its own way, we always have at least one bottle of each in our drinks cabinets!

I know you’re bored with Taco Bell food now mac, ironically we just heard they are building one about half an hour away from us……I won’t be trying it….bleurgh, you know me, not a fan of that type of food!

About to head out to meet friends……I am starving, between our walk this morning and the aroma of the bacon, mushroom and leek I cooked down earlier, yep, I may have more than one dish for lunch, well, it is all appetisers!

Glass of wine too I think……cheers!

It's that taco Tuesday!

I don't know where my " giddy up and go" went...but I sure feel like I am draggin my butt today. Took me forever to get ready this am. I sure could have just spent my morning in my chair in the living room with a coffee just relaxing. It might be time to use some holiday time, and just take a couple of days to relax. I always talk about it, but never do it. I'll have to talk to our interim manager about taking a few days off - and just coming in to do my required work, then home to just putter and do some things I want to do at home.

A co-worker has offered to let me come out to her acreage to go pick saskatoon berries. They are kind of like a blueberry, but smaller - in case you were wondering what the heck those are. I'm thinking I'll make some jelly and freeze some for scones and cheesecake ;) I'm needing to find new things to do - and this is one I want to try this year!

Had a huge storm roll through last night just before I went to bed. Lots of thunder and lightening with heavy rain. We had well over an inch of rain fall in about 2 hrs. It was crazy! The water running down the streets was a river covering the sidewalks in our area.
was that a threat? Road Trip!
:lmao: hahahaha yup!!!!! I have also told my sil who is having reduction surgery this week, the same thing....to call me to help out! I will be texting her once she's home to help out where I can. Even if it's something as simple as changing the sheets on the bed during the day while her dh and kiddo are at work. I have a couple of meals planned to bring over as well.
but now it’s impossible to have any sleep unless I am medicated.since brother died.
I whined to my doctor that since brother died, I just can’t get rest no matter what.
 I hope you start to get some sleep again. It is weird how grief interrupts different parts of our lives. Grief is a very long windy road.
I did tell them not to plan to bring candy that has wrappers, drinks they can slurp or anything else that makes a noise in the cinema......they`re the same though hate annoying things like that.
:o We are guilty of the candy bags opening :o at the theatre. DH has a huge sweet tooth, so we can't avoid that at the movie theatre.

Well, I started this while my tea was still hot, I've completed most of my paperwork, and am now heading out for lunch
Have a great day everyone!

I hope you saved some bacon for me!
Will be over in a flash.

Always have some bacon for you mac......it`s from a speckled old spot or something equally odd named!! All we know is, it`s delicious!

Those berries sound lovely, jellies, cheesecakes and scones are ideal for berries, love em all!!

Yes, sounds like you need some down time away from work for a few days, it`ll do you the world of good and probably give you some energy back.

Oh you`d have to leave the cinema I`m afraid.....lol......that`s why we go during the day, it is much quieter and no one rustles or slurps or uses their phones....even the two teenage girls who were on the same row as us today!!! Pet hates are rustlers and slurpers, or whisperers, i could go on but you get the idea!

A lady behind us when we were watching Wicked on Broadway was asked to put her candy away, it is distracting for everyone around. I never got the bug for munching candies or goodies at the cinema, but I can be a grumpy cow at times with other folks.....or so I`ve been told......me????:rolleyes1

Insidious was good, had a few good jump scares and did feel like a conclusion, but there cold be another movie in there. I think there were 12 of us in the cinema altogether and no-one made a peep throughout which was perfect. Apart from when my friend Felicity got such a scare she yelled out loud!!!

Lunch before was lovely too, we`d never been to that place but it was very nice with proper linen tablecloths and waitresses who had very smart outfits on, we all felt a little casual, but it was very nice and food was excellent. They had cornbread as part of a few dishes and usually cornbread over here (unless homemade) is not very good, but this was sweet and light. We ate far too much, but all our dishes were gorgeous.

So tonight, laying along the kitchen sofa like a sloth with Tom on the one opposite laying down too.....we look a picture!!!!

Won`t be too late in bed tonight, it still doesn`t get completely dark for us just yet, something we do enjoy in America is how dark it gets in comparison. And next week in Scotland it stays lighter later too which is nice, hoping for some lovely sunsets there.

Cuppa tea time, got some Jing Tea which is quite unusual, but beautiful.....

I guess. I’m lucky, I tend to be able to go back to sleep after being woken up in the middle of the night.
Dh has that ability as well. He says it’s because he has a clear conscience.

A friend went to Boston and did the Liberty Trail. They loved Boston. So much history there.
I think dh and B will both love Boston. He is a history buff and she majored in history. I’m looking forward to the tea party reenactment.

Yes we got some answers. Basically he’s recovering from some virus and may take a few more weeks. There is some improvement. I’ve noticed he’s getting his appetite back to the past 2 days. Always a good sign.
Continued prayers for his recovery.

I don`t remember the other assistants, but it must be 30 years since I watched it!
There was Murphy, who was another detective and Bernice Fox, who was like the administrative person. Steele always called her “Miss Wolf”. I think they were just the first one or two seasons

Well scratch the sleep aids I took last night.

Sorry to hear you are having sleep issues too. I hope you are able to find something that helps.

I'll have to talk to our interim manager about taking a few days off - and just coming in to do my required work, then home to just putter and do some things I want to do at home.
Sounds like a good plan. We all need a little R& R now and again.

I have never heard of those, so I looked them up. Sounds delicious.

Nothing much interesting with me today. I have been going around in circles with military insurance. Today someone gave me the name and number of our regional provider rep. I talked to her and was finally able to get some good answers.

Stupid me took a nap this afternoon, so I may have trouble getting to sleep.

Charade
Hope you are able to get to sleep by midnight.
I know I will be up late tonight.
Mr Mac is still in Ocala at our other house and i just can’t get to sleep very well when he is gone.

The cats can fall asleep in minutes around 11 pm but they save the howling for food at 6:00 am

He`s home today mac, he`ll enjoy that lovely meal you`ll prepare for him. And you won`t have to feed the cats once he`s home!

Weather looked a little dodgy today but we still went out our walk, warm and cool at the same time and rained for about 20 minutes but not too heavy and we soon dried off. Glad we kept going and did our minimum of 5 miles a day. Sky was so heavy though out to sea, but brightened up now.

Having the other half of the quiche I made yesterday for dinner tonight, side salad and coleslaw again, lunch is going to be Eggs Royale, slight change from Eggs Benedict but we have some lovely smoked salmon and as always plenty of eggs. Driving out to a farm butcher tomorrow to top up the freezer, will do our walk first then it`s a nice drive out there.

But, not much going on today, no lunch out as we went yesterday and some of the others are still on vacation, will get some housework and Trip Report done I think.

And Wednesday again......for those that work.....another over the hump day! Ladies of leisure, it`s just another day...... ☺️

Happy Wednesday :sunny:

Sue, hope you are still relaxing and glad to hear DH is now eating, and feeling better.

Charade, hope you got to sleep and had a good rest before getting up today. You are a great person trying to help with insurance issues. Glad one got resolved with the right person.

Max, sending hugs. It is hard when your DH not around. Hope you too had some good night rest last night.

And who do we see, on this much hotter day, as said my my local weather guy:

IMG_1674.jpeg

Ah yes, I do see that camel in the sunlight pouring through my home windows. Yes camel, we get that last day of so sunny ☀️ hot day, 94 will be on my thermometer by early afternoon.

And here we are, at the middle of the week, the day we say, get over a hump of a day feeling day, and yay, a Friday is now 2 days away. Yay for me, made it a lazy Friday, as with that three day week day routine last week, thinking a four day one needs to be this week.

And so a wish of a Wonderful Wednesday to all.

Ooh tea and a hot and full sunny day. Happy summer weather having homie this morning.

Good Wednesday morning Sans family

lol.....I can imagine you running from the snake!!! It`s amazing how we can run if we have to!! Yes, we don`t belong in their territory!!
Yes, that would have been a video to chuckle about for sure.

What a beautiful creature!
I named her Daisy. She is so sweet.

I will look in BaB stores for her, I know she has a couple from her mother, but to have one from Orlando from us, she`d love that. I like that idea.
I think she would love it for sure. They have some nice options for you to specialize it for her.

Hope you had a lovely day, quiet Sundays are ideal aren`t they.
We did have a nice quiet Sunday thank you. Sundays are the best.

We did have a lovely quiet Sunday as planned, sat in the garden, ate dinner outside and it was so still....weirdly still. I swear I walked in the house and it changed instantly, cloud darkened and the wind started billowing, then yep, thunder and lightning with massive downpours, quite impressive. I was glad we had come in.
So nice to hear you had a nice Sunday too.

Sweet doe, Robo. We occasionally get them at the very back of our backyard, but so far they have not come close to the house.
Daisy has been pretty tame with me. Hubby has told me not to attempt to touch her as he fears that she would then let someone else come close to her and they could harm her.

Sad to think someone could do that to such a sweet animal, but I think hubby is right.

I think I tried to do too much last week. Had a quiet weekend. Long nap today. I think I heard it takes awhile for anesthesia to leave the body. I sure have been tired.
I think it is a woman thing. We all want to run before we can walk. At least that has always been my thing.

Yes, it does take a bit for the anesthesia to run thought your body. Rest, fresh air, fluids and good food will all help. Sending healing prayers your way.

Tomorrow husband has doctor appt for test results. Maybe we’ll get some answers.
Then daughter has dentist appt after work. I told her I’d drop her off as I have to go to the mall across the street anyway to get birthday cards.
Sending good thoughts and prayers for your hubby that he feels better soon.

I’m looking forward to the new Minions area and quick service. People are giving it good reviews. Although I loved Monsters Cafe and Shrek!
I’m feeling better and this weekend showed me I think I can do more than I can and paid for it. The weekend rest did me good!
Yikes that’s a scary scorpion story.

Me too. I have seen some of video folks on youtube and everything looks good.

I do admit I will miss Monsters Cafe for the ambiance not the food and Shrek. I had some wonderful interactions with Donkey over the years. The person they had playing him was a hoot.

Another gorgeous morning here, our walk along the shorefront was beautiful, sun was high and the water was crystal clear and a very unusual colour of blue, but very pretty. It`s going to rain later this evening so making the most of the day, lunch will be alfresco for sure. Baked some onion bread and will have that with my home made chicken noodle soup with extra chives from the garden.
I bet that is a beautiful walk. The Ocean air has wonderful soul healing properties for sure.

Homemade onion bread and chicken noodle soup sounds yummy.

This afternoon is a do nothing one for us, we`ll finish off the lemon cake for afternoon tea, I do need to stop baking!! But, the farmer is always dropping us off 30 eggs almost weekly, we don`t eat that many eggs, so baking is ideal to use them up. Will take a load up to Scotland this weekend, mum will love those fresh from the farm eggs.
Farm fresh eggs are so good. You can really tell the difference. Our grandson has chickens. When they come to visit they always bring some eggs. They are so good and a special treat.

That is so sweet of the farmer to share eggs with you. If I remember correctly you said you have fruit trees that you share your bounty of fruit with the farmer and his wife.

I bet your mom will be happy to have some fresh eggs.

Yesterday was even hotter - and we all went fishing in the boat at the lake where our former lake lot is. It was the perfect way to spend the day - on the water. We all caught lots of fish. They will use our street to access the river/creek area that runs through our city I always look forward to seeing them walking down our street. They like to eat from the different berry and crabapple trees on our street.
Daisy has been eating off of our apple tree. I think she will have all the immature low fruit gone soon.

A quick good evening post. Nothing interesting to report today. I had another terrible nights sleep. I fall asleep, get woken up less than an hour later, then can’t get back to sleep again.
Charade I hope your sleep pattern gets back on track.

but now it’s impossible to have any sleep unless I am medicated.since brother died.
I whined to my doctor that since brother died, I just can’t get rest no matter what.
You have been under a lot of stress and grieving the loss of your brother. I hope the doc can come up with a med to help you get some rest.

I have never heard of Saskatoon berries. Are they as sweet as blueberries?

Oh you`d have to leave the cinema I`m afraid.....lol......that`s why we go during the day, it is much quieter and no one rustles or slurps or uses their phones....even the two teenage girls who were on the same row as us today!!! Pet hates are rustlers and slurpers, or whisperers, i could go on but you get the idea!
Folks making noise and talking is why my hubby stopped going to the cinema. I go once in awhile.

I think the last time I went I saw “Where the Crawdads Sing” I think that was Last year.

It is a nice sunny day this morning. Supposed to be 90.

Hubby had his back Injected Monday and is doing good so far. He said the pain he had in his back has decreased. So that is a positive outcome for sure.

I went out yesterday and bought plenty of fresh fruit. Then I came home and washed all the berries and froze some of them for the smoothies I have been making us in the morning.

I have a couple of errands to run this morning then we need to go pick up hubby’s new glasses.

We are going to a pizza restaurant for dinner this evening. My sister is hosting a party for her grandsons birthday and graduation from middle school. M is a sweet, smart young man. I look forward to seeing him and all the family this
evening for his party.

Tomorrow I will see little J. He is my little shopping buddy.

My sister K said that she saw some Halloween decorations showing up in HomeGoods already. Might have to go by and have a look.

Shout out to Tink and all our Sans family who do not post anymore. You are missed.

Hope Janet and family are continuing to have a wonderful vacation.

Have a fantastic Wednesday everyone doing whatever makes you happy.

😸. Hey all homies!

Just a quick check in to see everyone here today!

Mr Mac comes home tonight and excited will be able to see him!
The cats will snub him until he gives them kitty treats and belly rubs.

No thank you Mr Mac, spare me on the belly rub..

I found out yesterday my hotel booking wasn’t correct but was able to solve the issue by switching hotels.

Don’t know how many peeps change their bookings but I will keep an eye out if I see if there is any possibility I can switch hotels before my arrival date.
I can live with what I have but will keep an eye on it.

No premier hotels were available for my dates when i looked online but called and booked by agent.
He saw there was a cancellation while we were talking so am set with the hotel.
But so many cancel or change their booked lodging I am sure I will see changes and can switch then.

Now I am working on my flights.
Since I changed dates for my hotel stay, now need to take care of the last thing in my trip planning.

I usually talk to an agent for Delta flight bookings and set it up with them.
Since I don’t have a computer, it is lots easier to have the agents handled that for me.
I get the confirmation email and all set.

Been reading how every one posting is doing and need to give a shout out to Robbie and hope her husband has improved and doing better.

Guess charade has made it home now and can now spend quality time with the cat Casper.

Been watching the weather channel and yikes so many floodings!!
Feel awful for all the people that are flooded out of their homes and no place to go.

it’s early July and high heat but August is really more of a challenge for where I live as it’s stinking hot all day and thru the nights.

Hope all are doing good!

Yes, that would have been a video to chuckle about for sure.

I named her Daisy. She is so sweet.

I think she would love it for sure. They have some nice options for your to specialize it for her.

We did have a nice quiet Sunday thank you. Sundays are the best.

So nice to hear you had a nice Sunday too.

Daisy has been pretty tame with me. Hubby has told me not to attempt to touch her as he fears that she would then let someone else come close to her and they could harm her.

Sad to think someone could do that to such a sweet animal, but I think hubby is right.

I think it is a woman thing. We all want to run before we can walk. At least that has always been my thing.

Yes, it does take a bit for the anesthesia to run thought your body. Rest, fresh air, fluids and good food will all help. Sending healing prayers your way.

Sending good thoughts and prayers for your hubby that he feels better soon.

Me too. I have seen some of video folks on youtube and everything looks good.

I do admit I will miss Monsters Cafe for the ambiance not the food and Shrek. I had some wonderful interactions with Donkey over the years. The person they had playing him was a hoot.

I bet that is a beautiful walk. The Ocean air has wonderful soul healing properties for sure.

Homemade onion bread and chicken noodle soup sounds yummy.

Sounds like a wonderful day with your family.

Daisy has been eating off of our apple tree. I think she will have all the immature low fruit gone soon.

Charade I hope your sleep pattern gets back on track.

You have been under a lot of stress and grieving the loss of your brother. I hope the doc can come up with a med to help you get some rest.

I have never heard of Saskatoon berries. Are they as sweet as blueberries?

I look forward to seeing him and all the family this evening for his party.

Have a fantastic Wednesday everyone doing whatever makes you happy.

lol....I don`t like chickens so when we do pop into the farm, I run like blazes to get into the house as the chickens are all running free, always worried we run one over too!! But, it must be lovely for them having their own chickens for eggs.

Yes, they get all or most of our fruit now. My friend who passed away used to take some too, but now the farmer`s wife gets the majority for her little cottage industry of chutney`s, preserves and pie`s. We usually keep some plums for us, just to nosh on. Fresh berries in a smoothy though......lovely!!!

Glad to hear your husband is feeling less pain, that can only be good hopefully.

Sounds like a lovely evening planned for you with the pizza party, always nice to celebrate with family. And shopping with the little one tomorrow will be fun I`m sure!

:car: A quick stop in to say HI. It has been rather slow at work today. I am just killing time until I can leave at 3:00

Hi.....

Glad he`s making it home today!!

Good luck with the flights, hope you get ones to suit your times better. Enjoy your meal tonight with mr mac!!

I think we`ve had the quietest night we`ve ever had for ages! Not one call or txt which is unusual.....but it`s nice at the same time. Enjoyed our quiche for dinner, it`s funny I prefer it hot the first day, Tom prefers it ice cold the second day. Made some coleslaw and salad so not much to do, I had also made some caramel ice cream for dessert tonight this afternoon....I`ll never be slim!!

Pot of tea afterwards and I think another early night, all that fresh sea air and walking is making us sleepy, we always sleep like rocks anyway.

It`s still so light at nights here, but a bit darker tonight as it is very cloudy with some rain.

Tonic water, then bed I think.

Ugh that quickest ride into the city and here I am watching the sunrise from office.

Going to be what the weather lady said us a corker. Yep, rivaling FLA with 95 and humidity high enough to not only feel like 105, but will fire up those storms later today too. One icky feeling outside summer day. Yep, hazy, hot, humid and rainy. Yes, that is our usual summer weather. And while not fond of rain at times, enjoying this hot weather.

A woot to Mac, good news from you. Yay for DH getting home later today, and hotel and flights being almost set. Yay for that. Fall fun. Yay.

Hehe, I go next month, then come back two weeks later. Two end of month trips. Yay! And end ic this month? Day tripping. Yay! Sister joining in the fun, as reminded her of our 10 mile walk last time we were there. Walking sneakers ready. Going to ge as hot there. So will surely stop in AC blasting stores, and find seats in the shade. And as little one remarked, there’s that coffee shop at almost every block. Hydration won’t be a problem. LoL

And so, speaking of hydration, this time of many having that hot weather, stay where it’s cool and enjoy a beverage or more. It’s a Thirsty Thursday today. Woot!

Tea water from a bottle today. That’s okay, still should be a quiet enough day.

Good morning homies. I’m like Charade, already waiting for that afternoon time to be going home. And hope the blocked part of road that with only cones across road, with no warming before, forced me to drive around the block, is done by the time the car heads back out of the city. Only me doing that block detour. If lots of cars, will be not so fast or easy.

Quiet night last night!!!

mac......hope you had a nice evening!!!

Now this is a sunrise!!! Nothing industrial here to see, just a beautiful ocean and beach!

My legs and feet ache!!! Absolutely beautiful morning here, sunny and warm with a slight breeze, ideal for walking. And walk we did.....ended up doing 10 miles, hadn`t planned to do it, but we just kept going as it was so nice. Got home and soaked them first before going for a shower!

Popped out to get some shrimp for lunch, they are large, not quite langoustines, but up there, going to griddle them with some garlic, lemon and red jalapeno, salad and a savoury scone which is similar to RL biscuits.

Dinner tonight is home made jalapeno beefburgers, ground down some steak this morning, Tom will have his with a bun, I won`t, salad and chunky home made fries, got some lovely huge potatoes that will cut into massive chips....will whisk up some of Chick-fil-A sauce that`s simple to make, goes well with burgers too.

Food sorted for the day!

Looking forward to seeing Janet back from her trip!!!

Happy Thursday :cheer2:

A surprise morning post from me. We had to get up a little early because we had someone coming at 8:00 to give us an estimate to replace and widen our driveway. Yesterday we asked on our neighborhood chat group if anyone could recommend a paving company. Didn't get any recommendations, but 5 other neighbors expressed interest in having their driveways paved too. One was wondering if we could get a neighborhood discount.

I found out yesterday my hotel booking wasn’t correct but was able to solve the issue by switching hotels.

Now I am working on my flights.
Hope you get it all worked out soon. I am still planning to be there September 16-22.

Good morning homies. I’m like Charade, already waiting for that afternoon time to be going home.
I haven't even made it to work yet and I am already looking forward to leaving.

Now this is a sunrise!!!
Beautiful!

Just got the estimate for the driveway. :scared1: I'm glad we don't have a super long driveway.
