I'd like to ask everyone to send good thoughts to a friend who received terrible news today. He is going through what sounds to be the last fight of multiple fights with cancer, several with brain cancer and now it has moved to his spine and essentially taken over. He has been told he has six months to live. It's a very sad time for he and his family and especially will be for his son (a teenager). My friend is only 32 and this seems so wrong. He is such a fighter, but he seems defeated today. He will be referred to a chemo specialist again and this seems like a really daunting prospect to have to embark on again given the news today.

Thanks so much, in advance, for any thoughts you can send his way.

Your family and your friend are in my thoughts and prayers.

I will add them to my prayers. I hope they are able to create some wonderful memories in the time he has left.

My thoughts and prayers are with your friends and his family along with you. I hope that he doesn't become defeated and lives each and every day with his family in love and peace.

It's a great day to be alive.
Carol

Sending good thoughts and prayers.

I'm so sorry to hear of your friend's condition. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family during this difficult time.

My thoughts and prayers are going out as well. I hope you can help your friend and his son make the most of the time he has been given. :grouphug:

My friend passed away on Sunday and I'm so relieved that he is no longer suffering. The six-month diagnosis turned out to be only a little over five weeks for him. We have a theory that another friend we lost last year (also to cancer) was waiting for him at the Pearly Gates to give him an orientation tour and give him the lowdown. Sure hope that came to pass.

I was able to do some Christmas shopping for him and am so glad his son will have something from his dad, although I'm sure that will be an extremely hard moment to experience.

I'm so sorry things ended up this way. You and your friend's family are in my thoughts and prayers.

I'm so sorry that your friend passed away so quickly and young and especially that his son will be doing without him at Christmas! I'm glad you are able to be there for him, and you and his family will be in my thoughts and prayers. :grouphug:
