Is this happening even if you try to shorten the reservation?

The "only resale contracts" is not true in my case.

I have a direct VGF contract with zero 2026 UY points (borrowed to 2025) that disappeared from my "manage points" screen for 2026. The ones with >0 points are showing.

When it's been 3 days and they don't seem to know the scope of the problem, this is when rolling back to the prior software version might make sense...

I would interpret this as only people having trouble booking are resale specific. I think the contracts not being shown has to do with coding that is hiding them when you are at 0 points. This does not prevent them from showing up when you go book and you are able to borrow from future years during booking.

BTW- apparently, they are working to have all points restored by the 18th.

That is almost a full week without access to our points.

They did, but they’re not the dates that work for us anymore now that we want to go on different dates due to flight costs, and the dates we want are after the date they are holding. Ah well.

Not sure when you last tried this, but I was definitely able to change from 7 nights to 5 nights for Aulani (as a home resort reservation), and then reuse the points for a separate (home resort) Aulani booking. All resale contracts.

Maybe the issue is WDW-specific...?

I just did it with my Aug 2025 point as well. Those were SSR resale points too.

Weird - I just tried replicating that with an existing AKV booking for December. My reservation is ~70 points and I tried modifying to a shorter stay and seems like it's still seeing the original points when I get to the final page before confirming the modification. Screen shows the new booking is in the 50s points and it shows all the ~70 points from the original booking.

Yes. I made a reservation yesterday morning (April 15) and received a confirmation email within the hour.

Speaking to MS, they are saying that this is a problem across the board affecting only resale contracts…

Ouch, the last time I recall a problem affecting only resale contracts was the Y/N digital membership card debacle & that took weeks (maybe months?) to sort out.
So I logged in to see how things looked. I have 1 use year & 4 contacts. Even though we’re still in my 2024 use year & I have until end of July to bank, nothing shows for 2024 - maybe because I’ve used all those points?
For 2025 one contract shows, it’s the one w/ points in it that I haven’t yet used. I’ve used all the points for bookings in the other 3 contracts.
For 2026 3 contracts show, the missing one I’ve borrowed all of those points for a booking.
For 2027 all 4 contracts show w/ all of their points.
What I can’t find is the record of what points I’ve used, maybe it’s user error.
I did fill out the survey that popped up .
So it seems you only see contracts that still have points in them for a given use year .
I was relieved to see that my reservations were still there - that’s always a concern for me when these maintenance issues crop up.

I know I'm cynical, but I never believe Member Services when they say "it's a problem with resale contracts." I feel like that's become a line which they use in the hopes of scaring us away from the resale market.

The home resort which mysteriously reappeared in my account, despite the fact that I sold it in 2009, was a direct purchase.

It might be but I am in the 5-6 month window and was having issues modifying.

I don't think the walkers would be walking inside of 7 months but who know at this point.

I wasn't effected by I remember something about resale contracts not being able to borrow points too. It applied to non restricted resale as well.

I think this is when they cut the borrowing to 50% from 100% so probably after this.

No not like this.
If they want to stop walking, the way to go is not make people unable to see their points.

Had they said, “starting from xx date, the system won’t allow modifications until yy date” then I was gonna be pissed but depending on the new rule I might had to live with it.
