Here are some of the highlights of our trip...well actually everywhere we pretty much ate was a highlight.
We spent a lot of time at the S/D restaurants this trip and totally enjoyed them. We had lunch at Splash grille, dd (5) had the grilled cheese and I had a chicken grille sandwich. Just fine.
Gulliver's character dinner is so nice because it's relaxing. Goofy and Pluto were there but it wasn't you're ordinary crazy meal because they come out one at a time and the restaurant is moderately busy. You can choose the buffet (and actually leave the table without worrying about missing a character). I had the stuffed shrimp which I thought was excellent. DD had the grilled chicken which she enjoyed.
CRT's-the usual, I just don't care for their food much anymore so I thought I'd do something different and order the "healthy" choice -well you know what! I'm glad I did, it was really good, and huge, I think I might have eaten half of it. It was granola with peach yogurt, raisins, fresh blueberries (it also comes with strawberries but I had them leave them out) and almonds I think. I really enjoyed it. I added some of the other fresh fruit they had to it and it was really good.
Princess interaction was good and we were lucky that we didn't have to wait at all and got a seat right by the window (because we were a party of 2 I think).
The Plaza at MK was very busy this trip. We waited (for the first time) for 20 minutes but it didn't disappoint. I had the marinated veggie wrap, delicious! It had portobella mushrooms, red peppers lettuce and tomate in a sundried tomatoe wrap served with sweet potatoe chips. I ate it all and then ended my meal with a fabulous sundae. I must say I think they have the best ice cream in ALL of Disney!! DD had the usual grilled cheese lunch and she was happy.
We had dinner at PALIO at the Swan. My dh joined us by this time. Michale was our waiter and dd just loved him. He played games with her all night. He just had her in stitches - even got her a bit wound up but it was ok because she enjoyed it so much. I had a delicious veggie pizza (I was in the "veggie" mode this trip for some reason) which was excellent. Too bad I could only eat half of it. Dh had the pasta with seafood which he enjoyed and dd had her usual grilled cheese. And, I have to add that Michale went down to Gulliver's to have her sandwich made! And, it was out within 10 minutes! So, don't ever think that PALIO is for "adults only" because that certainly isn't the case!
I guess I should stop here and finish later since this is getting a big lengthly.
