We've booked our trip for Oct2-9th/04. I'm wondering when the schedule for the park hours for October comes out so that I can book restaurants and the like? We're probably going to AK,MGM & Epcot only once (perhaps coinciding with parade schedules) so I need to know the dates of parades and such before I can choose the days. Will it be announced before the 90 days before so that I can try to book my character meals? I'd also like to go to the parks on the days that they don't have the early opening hours (we're staying offsite) so that we can be there when they open. I'll need the schedule for all of these things...

Do you think I could wait until the schedule comes out to book MNSSHP or should I book it now? I have 2 choices that week, the 3rd (Sun) or the 8th (Fri). If I choose the Sunday it will be the very first time my kids go to DW. Do you think it will still be magical for them going to MK for the first time dressed in Halloween costumes or do you think it'd be better (more special) to go to the MNSSHP on our last night of our trip to be the perfect ending, even if that means going on a busier night?

Also, about the breakfast at the castle...did I read correctly that they give you a plate with food on it? It's not a buffet? And what if you want more? Do you just get the one plate and that's it? I know my kids will only want one or two of the things on the plate but would want more of what will be there that they like if you kwim?

Thanks if you can help! :)

I am not sure about your other questions, but I do know the breakfast at Cinderellas castle is all you can eat, you just ask for more and they bring more out. We just did the Storybook Princess Breakfast and it was the same... when we wanted more of something, he just went and got more. So it is all you can eat, without the hassle of a buffet.

I'm not sure how often it changes, but under WDW Park Hours on www.wdwinfo.com there is a calendar that shows all the parade times, they seem to have been the same for the last 3 months or so, except for SpectroMagic. The daytime parades at the AK and MGM are daily (according to the last few months of the calendar) and run in the afternoon. There is no parade at EPCOT anymore. I think Illuminations and Fantasmic! are also done every night, hopefully someone else can verify that. Somewhere on wdwinfo.com you should be able to find the Early Entry hours as well, if not, I know they're on www.allearsnet.com

If there's a character meal you MUST do, I'd make the PS as soon as it's 90 days out, that way you're sure you get it. If you wait, you may end up not being able to do it; you could always call back and try to change it when your schedule is more definite, but schedule the new one before you cancel the old one just in case!

I'd love to be able to go for MNSSHP, but since we're going in May, I guess that won't happen this year. I'd say go on Friday, your last night, unless you are leaving terribly early the next morning, but I'm wondering if Friday would be more crowded? Hmm.....

This probably didn't help much, but I hope you find the answers you're looking for. Enjoy your trip, no matter what you decide!
