I know some are looking for more info on these flights, so I thought I would pass on our experience.

Flight info: Halifax to Orlando, one connection in New Jersey.

No major issues for us, one minor issue.

Minor issue was a delay on the connecting flight in New Jersey coming home. Apparently, the flight crew scheduled for our flight had a delay on their flight the night before, which caused them to have to wait longer prior to their return flight due to the time regulations between flights that are in place by the air transport authority. In other words, after a specific period of time flying, crews are mandated to take a break period between flights. This caused them to arrive late in New Jersey for our flight. Interesting thing here, is the plane was at the gate, the flight crew were actually on another plane. New Jersey airport is huge, I suspect this kind of issue is not unexpected, or uncommon.

Important info regarding transfers to another terminal:

1. You can transfer a couple ways, Airtrain or shuttle bus. Do not take the Airtrain, doing so takes you outside the security zone and you will have to go back through security, that could be a problem if your connecting flight is tight to your arrival flight. Be sure to take the shuttle bus, it keeps you inside the security zone so you won't have to go back through security.

2. The directions to the shuttle bus are not well marked, the directions to the airtrain are marked very well, don't be tempted to take the airtrain as noted above. On the flight down, we just followed the crowd as most were going to the same terminal as we were. However, the flight home it was difficult to find. I asked the first employee I came across after I realized it wasn't easy to find.

So, all in all, it was an ok experience. I would fly with them again if the price was right. However, price would have to be very good, similar to what we paid this time ($330/person). Direct flights are so much better, for a few hundred dollars more, that would be my choice.

Thanks .... the bus shuttle point you make is key. Since reading what you said, I've looked up that going from A to C, you get the bus at Gate 28. Going from C to A you go to gate 71

Thanks for the info ... greatly appreciated.

Your welcome.

I know you were looking for more info, so I thought I'd post it for others as well.

I was completely surprised the way to the shuttle bus wasn't well defined. Going the airtrain could be a big mistake for some.

You are very right ... a short connection time and there would be trouble. How was terminal C for food? Thoughts?

We had about 1hr, 20 minutes between flights, so we didn't bother looking for food in terminal C.

Terminal A has a couple places by the gates we were at, pizza, coffee, snacks, etc.
