I'm thinking about an 12 day/11 night solo trip in late Sept/early Oct and was just curious how long other solo Disers have gone for. I went on a 8 day/7 night trip in January that was fabulous and I can't wait to get back. This time I really want to do Backstage Magic Tour and maybe some spa treatments as well...i really like the idea of having lots of time to just relax while I'm there.

Hi Scoutsmom :) I've been on two 14 night solo trips and one that was 8 nights. I leave tomorrow for 14 nights but a friend is joining me for 7 of the nights. I find there is so much to do that a week goes by way too quickly(of course if that's all I can take I'm going to do it  ) Some trips I book a tour or two, I did a spa treatment once, and I'm seeing Cirque for the 2nd time this trip. I love visiting the other resorts etc etc :teeth:

Hi Scoutsmom! (My, what a handsome dog!)

I go solo on most of my Disney trips and usually I stay for seven nights. My secret fantasy is to go for the entire month of September.

I have been on the Backstage Safari tour (once alone, once with my mom) and have been to Cirque. This upcoming visit will be my sixth solo trip and I'm thinking about doing something like the Dolphin Encounter.

Enjoy your visit and do what pleases you!

Most of my solo trips have been 8 nights/9 days. I settled on that length mainly for budgetary reasons; if I could afford to stay for a full two weeks at a time I certainly would.

I'm not someone who has difficulty vacationing alone. Although I was somewhat nervous the first time I took a solo trip by plane to a city 900 miles away from home, I got over it after about 5 minutes and was instantly hooked on the feeling of freedom I got from knowing that I could do anything I wanted, and had to do nothing I didn't want.

'Lonliness' was never a factor. I call home every couple of days to let family and friend know that I'm okay and to relate interesting trip details, and in recent years I have also begun meeting up with folks from online communities like this one for lunch or dinner.

MouseFest is a particularly busy solo trip. In fact, even though I travelled alone to MouseFest in both 2003 and 2004, I count those trips as Solos only by technicality - I spent more time WITH people on those trips than I did alone.

My upcoming solo trip (11 days woohoo!) is another 8 night/9 day adventure so that I can experience Star Wars Weekends. I have two brief meets to attend, but I'm looking forward to the solitary and unstructured parts of the trip, which were so few and far between during my last two WDW trips.

I can only dream about two full weeks at WDW. Sheer heaven!

My longest solo trip, thus far, was 34 nights. (I did have a few visitors for a long weekend once in awhile, DH, DS.) Having that much time there was wonderful!! I plan on taking extended trips each January/February now that I've retired.

WOW!! I thought that my 16 nights would be one of the longer trips... I guess not!

I do have a few people that I meet up with sometimes on my trips from these boards, and sometimes go with friends, but I still enjoy my solo time.

That is what I thought in January so I didn't really plan on too much other than the parks then.

Now there is a fantasy! I would love to do that as well. September is my favorite time to visit.

I would love to go to Mousefest one of these times...I'm going to have to get out of retail one of these days (crosses fingers) so I can get some time off in December. I hope you have a great trip for Star Wars weekends.

Wow that is amazing 34 nights! My head is spinning at all of the things I could visit and do during that amount of time. Thanks for sharing.

I went on my first solo trip - 5 nights at the Coronado Springs. Very nice but definitely too short.

Next solo trip will be a 10 night solo trip for the end of Sept/beginning of Oct. My brother's family will be there then, but I'm only spending one day with them. They're staying at another resort and since his in-laws will be with them, I'll be staying far away.

I'm very excited. If you've been on and enjoyed a solo trip before, I'm sure you'll have a great time, no matter what the length.

I did a 13 nighter once, it was great. I usually do a 6 or 7 in May (2 weeks to go now) and then 11 or so in Dec.

Have a super trip, Kathe, so nice meeting you last year.

I spent 14 days last Xmas and I will be spending 14 days from August 26 to September 9 and also December 10 to December 24. Not all the time is spent at Disney.

I've done 9 nights solo and had a wonderful time. By day 5 I had hit the parks pretty heavy and was a little worn out but started sleeping in and doing more resort/pool time which was fabulous. I am planning my next solo for this Nov. and keeping my fingers crossed for a pin code so I can spend 8 nights this trip.

Just about all my trips are solo trips and since I live so close they're all varying lengths. My longest was seven nights and on this particular trip, I only visited one park -Epcot- one day. The rest of the time was spent resort-hopping, which was big fun for me! :bounce:

Maybe I will see you when I'm down there! I'm just waiting for AP rates to come out to determine where and how long I stay.

That'd be cool. I usually try to plan at least one night to get together with a bunch of people. Last couple trips it was an IllumiNations cruise. This time, I'm thinking of a Monorail Drink-A-Thon or maybe a night at Pleasure Island. Still not sure, but will definitely let you know or take any suggestions.

October is SO far away!!! :earboy2:

I was thinking about a Monorail-Drink-A-Thon during my trip :drinking1 Once we get closer maybe we can coordinate something. I sure hope the summer flies by for once :)

That would be cool. I'm not planning anything until after the F&W Fest info comes out. I'm thinking that I may go to the Brewer's Dinner if they have it again.

My longest WDW trip has been 8 nights/9 days, which actually is 7 full days at WDW with a travel day on each end. My flight to MCO doesn't arrive until around 3 p.m., and usually leaves about 1 p.m. I try to take a non-stop or one-stop flight, which dictates the arrival/departure time.

That's also the longest vacation I've taken in years. Period!

No problems with boredom, as I'm very good at entertaining myself. I sleep in most mornings (Wrong time zone for early mornings--by the time I adapt, it's almost time to go home) and stay up until about 2 a.m. (dratted time zones again!). In addition to the parks and some time off site, I enjoy reading and just relaxing, as well as resort hopping and exploring my own resort.

Hoping for a repeat in December, 2006! :)

I did last years Mousefest cruise/land and then added on a few extra days for a total of 16 nights if you count the cruise if not subtract 4 days.

WOW! You guys are great! I'm going on my first solo to Disney, not in the States (still a bit expensive but I will be there one day ) but to Disneyland Resort Paris .
I never went there alone, but last year my traveling friend was such a pain, allways complaining about everything that it completely ruined my vacations. So much that this year I decided to go on my own and do everything I wanted . It's not an usual thing to do in here ( I live in Lisbon - Portugal ) and everyone thinks I'm nuts for going solo but I don't care and reading your posts really encouraged me , I never thought that so many people went solo to Disney Parks , even the Travel Agency lady looked at me in a funny way when I said that it was just me!
I'm staying there for 7 days/6 nights because I want to take a couple of days to go to Paris. I'm really glad that I found this board!

I did an 8 night trip for the Food and Wine Fest in November, followed by
the Mousefest trip a few weeks later, for 10 nights.

I enjoyed myself, but I felt a little burnt out by having too semi-long trips so
close together.

This year, my first "Disney" will be four nights at DL for the 50th birthday
(yes, I'm certifiably nuts) in July, so that's plenty of time to build up
withdrawal.

My only WDW trip this year is October, for 8 nights.
