I am planning a solo stay for next May, but I cannot make up my mind on the resort. I plan on only visiting Epcot and MK. What resort would you choose?

I'm staying at Wilderness Lodge for my first real solo trip.

You didn't state your budget, or if you will have a car to drive. Out of the choices listed, I voted for BWI. Epcot happens to be MY favorite park! I don't think you could go wrong with any of the choices you listed. Have fun!

I have stayed at Pop, Port Orleans French Quarter and Swan. I wouldn't hesitate to stay at any of them again.
Have fun!!

one not on your list.

the Polyn - it has monrail access to both the MK and Epcot (thru TTC - which you can walk to from the Polyn)

if you are only going to epcot and mkg - my vote is for boardwalk inn out of your choices. i love this area and have stayed at beach club over christmas. not solo but i would go there solo.

None of the above. I like Port Orleans, French Quarter. But you can't go wrong at any of the others you listed.

Enjoy.

I really prefer POFQ, but POR is nice too. I tend to stay in the moderates so I can travel more often and to other places, and I really like the atmosphere in the PO area.

It all depends on your budget, and where you want to spend most of your time. Of the ones listed above, I chose POR. I enjoy the boat ride from there down to Downtown Disney and PI.

I voted for the BWI. It is my favorite resort at WDW...
If a Boardwalk View room is an option, I would definately splurge on that. There is nothing better that sitting on your balcony watching all the activity at night. Best view in the world in my opinion!

Of the choices you gave, I picked Broadwalk. Great location, buses are closer to the park entrances, and lots of activities going on.

BUT, you couldn't go wrong on any of those resorts!!

Have a great time

POFQ--due to size. Not very far to walk to room, bus, or food court by myself.

I also choose the Contemporary due to the monorail access. I recently returned from a solo where I stayed at the ASMu. Now I have to say that I have stayed at the ASMu and have greatly enjoyed it. Loved it, actually. But this was my first solo trip, and I stayed after a conference. I was homesick, and spent far too much time in my room because of my missing my family.
I now wish that I had reserved an upgraded resort for the comfortable chair that are not in the Values. Just thought I'd share my $.02.

I'd choose either a resort on the monorail loop or one of the Epcot resorts so you would be close to the parks you plan on visiting. It would depend on your budget also as these are all deluxe resorts, but they even differ in price. I believe the GF and CR are the most pricey of the resorts, but they are also 10 minutes away from MK. The Poly is slightly cheaper and is on the MK monorail loop and a short walk to the TC to catch the Epcot monorail. I personally love the Boardwalk and if you can get a Boardwalk view, you can sit and enjoy your coffee on your balcony in the morning as the light is coming up over the lagoon, and then enjoy the Epcot fireworks at nite from the same balcony. You can also walk down to Jellyrolls piano bar at the end of the Boardwalk in the evenings for some entertainment. You could either take the bus to MK or boat to WS and then walk to front of Epcot to catch the monorail to the TC and then transfer to the MK monorail. You will love any of these resorts and be sure to visit the others to check out their incredible holiday decor. They are all beautiful. Have a great time. Ed

Definately BW!!! I just stayed there with my family but could really enjoy a stay there alone. Lot's of people to watch, the loop for a walk, great resturants with outside seating, and easy access to Epcot!!

Where ever you choose, enjoy,

You could split your stay. Stay at Wilderness Lodge and Broadwalk . I love both of them.

Have a great time. :sunny: :sunny:

My vote is for the Boardwalk. The walk to Epcot is so nice, and I've always had very good experiences with bus transportation to the MK. You'll love it!!!
