Hey everyone! I'm so excited...in just 4 days I'll be back at Disney this time on a completely solo trip. I'm staying at the POR. It was either the CSR or POR and the boat ride to DTD sounded too good to pass up. This trip is costing me a fortune though. I originally was going to do a quick trip to a value resort, but that evolved into the POR for 7 nights.

Here are my ADR's: (Yes, I'm on the Dining plan, but some of which I'll be paying OOP)

2/11 Le Cellier
2/12 Crystal Palace (Breakfast)
Whispering Canyon Cafe (lunch)
Kona Cafe (Dinner)
2/13 Coral Reef
2/14 Spoodles
2/15 Boatwright's (breakfast)
Chefs de France (dinner)
2/16 Mama Melrose Fantasmic Package
2/17 Le Cellier
2/18 Mitsukoshi Teppanyaki

Yes, I love Le Cellier so much I have to have that mushroom filet twice! lol

I'm doing 4 tours:

2/13 Aqua Seas tour
2/15 Dolphinis in Depth
2/16 Keys to the Kingdom
2/17 UnDISCOVERed Future World

If anyone is going to be on any of the tours, let me know! I'd love to meet a fellow Dis-er!!!!

Cool! This will be my first time at POR. I've requested the Alligator Bayou section, so hopefully I'll get it.

I am going to try to do the Keys to the Kingdom Tour on the same day as you. My fiance will not be going with me because its too early for him. What time are you going? Maybe I'll try to sign up for the same group as you. I looked at your profile and I am three years younger than you, so it might be nice to have another solo visitor on the tour in the same age group.

I'm going to do the 8:30am tour. I like your fiance's idea about sleeping in, but it's Disney so there's no way I'm going to do that. ;) If you do the tour, and get the same time, it'd be great to meet a fellow Dis-er!

I leave in 3 days for my second solo trip to the World. I'll be there from 2/12-16, staying at the POP. I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!

I signed up for the 8:30 tour as well. I imagine I will see you at the bus stop bright and early around 7:30 AM. My name is Erica and I am a queen sized blonde woman with a Pal Mickey. I am super excited to do this tour. It is something I have wanted to experience for a long time!

i was just wondering im going solo in june, would u reccomend the dining plan? would it be worth it?

I would definitely recommend the dining plan, even if you’re going solo. The first time I tried it was back in September when they offered it free. I added everything up, and even if I had paid for it, it would have saved a tremendous amount of money. Solo trip or not, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t enjoy some great food and great atmosphere at dinner!

This time I’m going a bit overboard with tours, extra table service meals, etc. . I originally was going to stay at the POP, but later switched to POR, added a bunch of tours, T.S. ADR’s, etc. The dining plan was always on there from the start though. It’s too good a deal to pass up. Sure, it’s a lot of food, but no one ever said you had to eat it all. Just eat what you want, and don’t feel like you’re wasting it. If you paid out of pocket, you’d still get the same amount of food...

Sounds good Erica! Looking forward to meeting you for the tour. My name is Bill. I’ll probably be the one guy on the tour without someone or a family surrounding him, so I’ll probably stick out. LOL!

Btw... Your fiancé does know that the tour won’t end until around 1-1:30pm right? If he’s looking to sleep in until the afternoon, this is the day to do it then! Oh yea, and remind him he’s on his own for lunch, since we get lunch at the Columbia House on the tour.

I just did the aqua seas tour on Monday 2/6. It was AMAZING!!!! I loved being in the seas but the real highlight for me was our cm guide, Gordon. I fell totally in love with him just like a school girl. He had a great sense of humor, very witty and charming, and I thought quite a hottie too. Can you ask if he is married? I know you will love the tour and swim. The tank is so much bigger than you think it is. They now have I believe 4 sea turtles and an 8 foot shark that always swims with its mouth open. And the spotted rays were so fast and loved to get real close. Enjoy the tour and Gordon! Make sure to post reports of all your tours when you get back!

Bill.
I just posted my tour report of the Epcot seas Aqua Tour on the trip reports board if you get a chance to read it before you go. Have a great trip!
