solo to mousefest 2008

Is anyone booking a dinner/seat package for Epcots Candlelight Processional?

I am thinking about doing this.

Yes, I am but not during Mousefest. I booked Chefs De France for 12/4. So I will start my trip with Candlelight Processional and end it with Mousefest.

Poohbear2 I will be dinning in Moracco on Dec 12 (5PM to catch the show) then going to Candlelight Processional for 8:15. I'd love the company if you are interested.

Poohbear2 I was on the fence between a couple of resorts...I decided on Carribean Beach, I've never stayed there. My family and I will be going there in May 2009 if all checks out!! We've stayed at Riverside and French Quarter the past several trips. If you are looking for something more budget wise, friends of ours stayed at POP Century a couple of times and really liked it. Good luck!!
Since we will be there at the same time, if you are interested in meeting up at some point for a snack/meal or ride drop me a line!

Don't blast me, please; I'm asking because this is my first mousefest solo.

Some may want to meet up as a dating arena of sorts, others may have a keen interest to discuss Disney World in the serious mode, still others may be parents and they enjoy talking about their children, etc.

I'd like to join up with an over fifty crowd, myself.

There will be times we are all together, but I thought it might be nice to do this, as well.

I was thinking there should be sign up sheets for different activities. I think doing a counter service meal would be very easy; since, ressies aren't necessary.

Is this doable? Does it have a purpose or is better to just always be together?

This is my first mousefest, and my first WDW trip. I planned out things that I would like to do, and made resis for a couple of places I want to go to that I know my kids wouldn't want to go to when we go as a family. I am doing mousefest and a couple of meets, but also a few things that I've always wanted to do!!!

Dec 11 I'm doing a keys to the kingdom tour, mousefest 101 and MVMCP. Filling my "free time" at MK
Dec 12 I'm doing EPCOT, lunch in Germany for the 12:45 show, dinner in Moracco at 5, Candlelight Processional at 8:15
Dec 13 Touring the resorts and holiday decorations in am, Megameet at noon, MK at night
Dec 14 HS Harlem Gospel Choir at 5, Melrose at 6:30. I'm planning on seeing the Osborne lights during XMH.

If you (or anyone else) is interested in meeting up at any time drop me a note.

I know you are looking for an over 50 crown, and I miss that my a couple of years (45), but the invitation still stands!!! :santa:

Most MouseFest meets are not limited to any particular "crowd." Many meets are themed, such as trivia meets, scavenger hunts, Karaoke meets, Pleasure Island meets to enjoy the Comedy and Adventurers Clubs (though not this year, since PI is closing before MF), and I think there is even a scrapbook meet.

But I have never encountered a meet set up to cater to a particular age group (other than some kids meets), or any singles or dating meets. Most folks who go to MF do so to meet internet friends, to meet the webmasters, guidebook authors, and podcasters, and to enjoy WDW with others who share an interest in the place.

If you want to do a meet with an over 50 crowd, you will probably have to host one yourself, because I don't think there are currently any planned. But there are certainly plenty of over-50s who attend MouseFest; give it a shot, start a sign-up thread in the DIS Meets board, and I bet you'll get some response.

that's what's on the site, too. Is there an issue 2, right now? It's not on the site at the moment. It may be still coming to me but I didn't have it this morning. I don't want to miss anything about mousefest.

I did read the new info on the website though this morn.

Bete, the info on the site is what was in the latest mousefest email. This was the second email as there was one about a month ago when the info for 2008 started to be released.
