solo to mousefest 2008

Let's try for a DIS meet this year . Thursday, 12/11 is the official MK day, and since it doesn't sound like anyone who has posted in this thread is going on the MouseFest cruise, most of us should be in town on Thursday for breakfast. How does a breakfast meet at an MK area restaurant like Kona or Chef Mickey's sound to everyone? We're already inside the 180-day window, but we should still be able to get an ADR if we book soon.

I just found this thread, and would love to meet up for breakfast..do you still have room for me? I'll be solo, staying offsite, from 12/9-12/17.

This coming December I will attending Mousefest for the first time, and I am going solo. Does anyone have anything to share about going to Mousefest alone? pixiedust:
Thanks

The only thing that I really think you should be prepared for is long lines and waiting for transportation (leave earlier than normal to get where you need to be for events). But enjoy it!!! its a lot of fun!

I've been to Mousefest as well and had loads of fun...so much so I'm bringing a group of Solos with me this trip!!! All Single loving Disney fans like myself...ok its not solo if we are a group....but we are all single people....not sure of the exact number as it keeps changing but we are going to be at Fort Wilderness...

Where have you been???? havent seen you in awhile :)

I would think if you stay at the same resort it would be very easy to meet each day together as a group by time.

Is there value to do this?

This is my first mousefest, and my first WDW trip. I planned out things that I would like to do, and made resis for a couple of places I want to go to that I know my kids wouldn't want to go to when we go as a family. I am doing mousefest and a couple of meets, but also a few things that I've always wanted to do!!!

Dec 11 I'm doing a keys to the kingdom tour, mousefest 101 and MVMCP. Filling my "free time" at MK
Dec 12 I'm doing EPCOT, lunch in Germany for the 12:45 show, dinner in Moracco at 5, Candlelight Processional at 8:15
Dec 13 Touring the resorts and holiday decorations in am, Megameet at noon, MK at night
Dec 14 HS Harlem Gospel Choir at 5, Melrose at 6:30. I'm planning on seeing the Osborne lights during XMH.

If you (or anyone else) is interested in meeting up at any time drop me a note.

I know you are looking for an over 50 crown, and I miss that my a couple of years (45), but the invitation still stands!!! :santa:

The MMM will now start at 10am for registered guests.

:wizard: I saw the new info on mousefest. I'm going to tour the resorts at another time so that I can be at YBC by 10. I can't wait to see what meets they have lined up.

It will be great to get an early start for the MMM and MUCH better that we can walk to EPCOT from the Y/BC, instead of waiting for the boat launch. The extra magic hour was nice because last year they offered FREE drinks and snacks but, only for that hour (10am-11am).

Just found this thread. I am doing my first Solo trip to Mousefest.
DH can't get off work in December. & I really needed a Disney fix:rotfl2:
I am staying onsite.
Anyone want to join us for dinner at Epcot on Saturday, December 13, 2008 at 5:00 PM at the Yorkshire County Fish Shop, & dessert at Boulangerie Patisserie in France?

I'm going to MouseFest solo this year as well. I'll be there for 9 days.

Does anyone know when the "official" sign up time will be? I am not sure if I am missing that info as I read the Mousefest info.

I will be going to EPCOT on Friday, and MK on Saturday. Sunday I will be HS, if you are interested! I'll be staying at CB.

If you aren't already on the list, you can sign up for updates for Mousefest at Mousefest.org. You will receive e-mails will info when it is available. They should be announcing the daily schedules and when registration will begin.
When I get the e-mail I will pass on the info!!!

I too have been contemplating a solo trip for the beginning of Dec., and this seems like the perfect time! I called and made a couple of ADRs for myself just in case I can convince my husband that it is a good idea--I have enough points and things from my credit cards that I could go for 4 nights including airfare and it would cost nothing! Just have to sell him on the staying behind with 4 kids!
