I am heading to the world solo in November. I have been checking availibility randomly and noticed I could not make a solo reservation here. Is this all the time or if I book early do they allow a few? Anyone have success?

Sadly it, like a lot of the ADR system doesn't like solo parties. One suggestion I've seen since you have to pre-pay is reserve for 2 and make the second 2 or under so you're still only paying for one person. No penalty for the ghost baby not showing up.

Another possibility is to somehow work out what I was lucky enough to do as a solo. A couple was going but reserved for 4. Then they put an invitation on the DIS Board here for 2 people to join them. Luckily 2 of us solos (Hi Dan!) went, had a great time, and made a long-lasting friendship. Maybe you could reserve for 2 and put an invitation on the DIS??? Just thinking.

I have scored a solo so it can be done… it was an early breakfast.

You can book for 2… and prepay for the 2. You can then call and reduce the party to 1 and they will refund the other meal. You just have to wait for reimbursement.

I’m assuming that you could also show as a solo with a reservation for 2 and they will refund the second meal but there could be some kind of no show penalty… can’t speak from experience. I can say they make adjustments to your final bill, like AP discounts after you finish your meal.

Had a fabulous time as a solo, BTW, and was treated just like the princess I always feel like I am lol

Great idea in theory, but not with needing to prepay

Reporting back, I was able to book table for one for dinner. It was second half of a split stay so I called to add.

Not great for introverts.

Just played around and double checked and this works for a solo. Put in 2, it'll automatically have 1 adult pre-populated since you're logged into your account, and then just add a baby under 2. 2 people, $0 charge for the baby. No need to call or wait for a refund.

That a good tip, I just would rather not. I feel like Id like to do it within the boundaries..no discussion at the door about no just me. I had to call anyway since I have a split stay. Its currently not like it used to be. I waited less than 5 min.
