Solo at Disney June 5-10 2006 with pics

June 10 Day 6. One last time to Downtown disney, poolside and headding home.

So today was the day that my magical vacation would come to an end. Woke up a little later this morning packed up my stuff and headed out of my room for the last time. I figured i would be better off to check out now rather than wait till 11 because i wanted to head over to downtown disney. I checked out of my room gave my luggage to the luggage room so i could be off to enjoy my last day in Disney. My flight home was at 8:30pm and the magical express was going to pick me up at 5:15 so that left me some free time to wander around. I headed to downtown disney because i had wanted a hair wrap. Every time i go to disney i always get a hairwrap this time wasnt going to be any different. I must say out of all the places ive gotten hair wraps (other parks not disney) Disney does by far the best ones! anyway after i got my hair wrap i headed over to the pin store. I had been there on thur and saw a pin that i loved. It was so cute a pink tiara with three little pink stones. The thing was it wasnt released yet it was in the preview box up at the registers the woman on thursday said to come back at the end of the week some more pins were being released. When i got there and asked about the pin it wasnt released yet. So much for that i guess. :

Anyway after that i went back to the world of disney to buy some frames and some souviners for some other family and friends. After i got out of the store it was already 12:00! so i grabbed some lunch at wolfgang express and decided to head out back to the hotel. When i got to the hotel i decided to sit by the flower pool and relax till it got closer to my Magical express departure. Here are some pics from the pool.

haha shortly after those pictures were taken i fell asleep. When i awoke i had developed a rather nasty sunburn oops! haha anyway it was getting close to my pickup time so i headed back to get my luggage and to wait for the bus. When i got out the ME platform there were quite a few people there. i guess there bus was wicked late. I started talking to the family i was sitting next to out on the platform. There was the grandmother, mother and daughter kaily she was 4. and we realized we were on the same bus back she asked me where i was from and i said NH and they were too! We then realized we were on the same flight back! How cool was that?! They live about 3 towns over from me. What a small world! It was 5:10 and a bus finally came. We thought it was our bus but it turns out it was the 5:00 bus but he was picking up 4:45 people because the one that was suposto pick them up got in an accident. Anyway when he got all the 4:45 people on he had extra seats so he asked anyone who wanted to go. Kaily's family and my self went because we didnt know how much longer our bus would be.

Heading out i kind of got all teary eyed because it had been such a good trip. im a sap i know! Anyway when i got the the airport Kaily's mother and grandmother asked me if i wanted to tag along with them and i said sure. we checked our bags and headed to the terminal. We had a good 2 hours to wait after we got through security and all that. but Kaily made the time fly. shes so cute, quite the little talker. I showed her pictures that i had taken (on my digital camera) and she told me all about her trip. When it was time to board the plane i had an A and they had pre-boarding. So they headed on the plane then after Group a was allowed. Kaily's family was so cute they saved me a seat in the row ahead of them and kaily asked her mom if she could sit with me. She was so cute we get up in the air and she talked talked talked. lol. she fell asleep on my arm about 1/2 way through the flight. i think she talked herself to sleep. lol when we landed in manchester i said my goodbyes to the family and thanked them for letting me tag along. Kaily gave me a big hug and started to cry. . too cute! so that was my trip i grabbed my luggage and waited for my mom to pick me up. As i walked out of the airport it was 59 degrees!!! what?! i just came from fl where it was 93 back up to NH and it was 59! haha i just thought that was crazy. here i am with shorts and a tank top complete with lobster sunburn and its 59 degrees. lol.

anyway that was my first solo vacation. hope you all enjoyed reading about it! I had thought a lot about it before i left and kind of worried that i would be by myself but i loved it! I would never think twice again about going to disney solo! You really learn a lot about yourself and you have the freedom to do what you want when you want. I just loved it! You meet so many great people from around the world. Im already planning a 20th birthday celebration for myself in may. haha

Some things that i would do different though is get a park hopper with more days. i didnt realize how much time i would actually have on my first and last days (because i had early and late flights). Also i would love to try mini golfing sometime but i think thats more of a family thing. Also this was a trip of many firsts for me but i would def do more character dinners and next trip i want to do the keys to the kingdom tour!

What kind of camera do you have , I don't have a digital and your seems to take great ,sharp photo ! Thanks! I have a cannon power shot a60 2.0 mege pixels. Nothing too special very simple and low grade . But i love it and i think it takes good pictures so thats all i care about. lol

Do you have the link to the dismeet at canobie? I only live 30 minutes away from there!

PS where in mass are you from? i use to live in haverhill.

Wonderful trip report Cheryl! I hope when my daughter is your age she has as much confidence and independence as you to take a trip like that on her own. She's thirteen now and it's all about being cool and won't do anything unless she with her friends

Isn't being solo wonderful. Just being able to do whatever, whenever you want!

You're very lucky doing disney solo at 19. I was 35 before I had my first solo trip!

Yeah im hoping i can go in may for another solo trip! hopefully i can book it in november :. It would be nice to see another diser around, hopefully i'll see you!
