I am trying to get into the Oct 5th Disney cruise. There were three rooms that became available last night, but of course my wife hesitated and now all the rooms are gone again. My question is should I just keep checking everyday to see if rooms will pop up? Is there something like a waiting list I can get on?

No waitlist for rooms. You have to keep checking.

I just booked that last room, I guess I will keep checking daily to see if anything changes. The window room was only $140 more argggg I shouldn't have waited

Oh wow - I'm only seeing one room left for $1,838.64 - room 7623 interior.

I once hesitated (like an hour) and the VGT rates were no longer available. However I called and there were still rooms at that rate available. I think there's an occasional delay with supply on the website so it's one time when calling might work better.

It's my understanding that when someone goes through the online system to look at a cruise and starts to book a room, that room is then pulled out of inventory for something like 30 minutes. So yes, if there is limited availability, it may re-appear. People go into the system like that all the time -- whether checking prices, looking for room availability, etc. Keep stalking the website or even call.

Enjoy your cruise!

The inventory seems to go in and out, the 9C VGT room (for $10 more) came back, but it's probably a hassle to go through Costco to get it changed. I will just stick with the 9D I guess. I never experienced a windows room anyway, let's see how it goes.

You are right when you select the checkout process, it takes it out of inventory. I did it to myself a few times :)

I have seen a room I wanted in the past and then called to book it and the cast member doesn't see it showing as available. They have said call back in 30 minutes or so. Its frustrating when you're ready to pull the trigger and you can't!:badpc:

That's true. There are other things that can cause inventory to re-appear on a "sold-out" cruise:
- After the PIF date, new bookings are "full payment due immediately." But when done through a TA (and possibly DCL itself), "immediately" means "within 24 hours." So, confirmed TA bookings may expire and go back into inventory if payment isn't made in time.
- With 1250 rooms, there are going to be some last-minute cancellations due to any number of reasons, even though it's past the cancellation deadline. People get sick or die. People get a new job and can't get the time off. Life changes. When those things happen, rooms go back into inventory.
