SOG parking at the parks and Magical Express.

Do guests of Shades of Green recieve free parking at the parks like normal resort guests do?

Also is Shades of Green eligible for the Magical Express transportation?

Yes on the free parking and No on the Magical Express. Hopefully that will change soon though!!

Actually, I called CRO yesterday to modify my reservation for July and the CM asked if I needed ME. I said, "I'd like to use it, but I'm staying at SOG the first night and it's not eligible." She said that she thought it was now and she would check. Then she said that it was, and she booked it for me (I'm moving over to PC for the last 4 nights and that wasn't a problem either).

So you might want to call and check about ME to SOG (then please post back here so I'll know she told me the right thing!) Thanks!

I called Shades Of Green a couple of weeks ago and they said you don't get free parking at the parks. I don't know if it is true or not.

As of last november SOG did not provide free parking at the parks to it's guests. That could have changed, but that is how it was when we were there, it's why they provide busses.

We also had free parking at the parks in Oct. I think they now charge $3.00 a day to park at the hotel.

I drive one of the DME busses and just a few days ago I had a party of people that was going to SOG. They got off the bus at the Poly and went over to SOG. I can tell you that the DME busses have never gone into SOG and there are no plans to change that as far as I know. You probably could use the service you would just have to take your own luggage and get off the bus at one of the other resorts (Poly is closest).

Since you are booked at Pop Century a Magical Express reservation can be created for you.

The following things may or may not happen unpredictably:

1a. You arrive in time for your SoG night which is a day early for your PC ressie and they don't check dates meticulously and you do get on the ME bus OK.

1b. You modify your ME ressie to be for your first night and hope they don't notice the discrepancy between the ME arrival date and the resort (PC) arrival date.

2. You take the assigned bus from airport, bound for PC; there are no buses destined for SoG.

3. You could take Disney transport from PC, schlep all your baggage to Transportation and Ticket Center or wherever the SoG buses run, and catch the SoG bus.

Incidentally guests booking SoG, finding that resort full, and taking overflow rooms at the Contemporary or a few other resorts, have received ME transportation OK.

Thanks for letting me know! I was pretty sure (being an avid DIS planner) that SOG was not included, and I do realize that many CM's aren't quite up to speed with all their info (however Vanessa Lynn was super helpful and seemed to know what she was talking about).

I thought I would try it, but now I think I'll just keep my rental car as planned!

Do I have to cancel the ME now & how do I do that?
