Soft Drinks

One more question from me on soda since I'm not seeing them in any pictures. Do they have caffeine free Diet Coke/caffeine free Coke Zero available anywhere on the fantasy? My wife is diabetic so can't drink regular and she tries not to drink much caffeine.
Thanks
I was on the Fantasy last month. The only diet sodas they had were Diet Coke and Sprite Zero. No Coke Zero of any kind, and no caffiene-free diet sodas. Neither via the self-serve machines nor via request at the MDRs.

I normally don't make comments, but it seems that it is time for all Disney cruise ships to put the freestyle machines on each ship. We pay enough and this way there is a wide variety of drinks one can get to accommodate more people's taste buds!!

I hope they don't. I really don't like the freestyle machines. Since various products are dispensed via the same line/spigot, you can often get an odd flavor in whatever drink you select. Sometimes it's not a very good mix.

I know a lot of the fast food places around here, after getting the freestyle machines, have now removed them. I'm not sure why, but many times, when I was there, the machine was "out of service". And they were selling sodas as in the past.

It's due to the tie up with WDW parks and getting it cheap of the back of parks leverage so they limit the drinks.

The freestyle machines are fine no issues, I use them at McDonald's.

Could be all the fancy electronics. Also, I would bet a lot of kids aren't going to be able to reach the screen, and oh yea, by the way, can you imagine the line with people who are indecisive. No thanks.

Sprite Zero would be a caffeine-free diet soda...

We sailed RCCL on the HoTS, which has the Freestyle Machines. The lines were often ridiculous due to people who either didn't know how to use them or couldn't decide what they wanted. The ones in Windjammer were further hampered by the fact that the wait staff used them to get drinks for people as well.

Not only is it an issue of someone being indecisive or not know how to use them, but only one person can use it at a time. On a regular soda fountain, if you can have one person getting Sprite and one person getting a Coke at the same time, as long as there is enough space between those two spouts.

Its offered for free in the MDR, but not at the soda machines. We carried our own on. We also carried on juices and root beer (to make soft serve floats!!)

Ginger ale was available at one of the pool deck soda stations on the Fantasy when we sailed in December.

A tip: I flush the spigot out with a brief run of "water" first (letting it just run with no cup under it), then select the drink I want. It helps with the weird taste factor.
