I had my wisdom teeth out this morming and in my instruction manual it says I can only have "soft bland food" for the first 2 days. I'm already tired of pudding and baby food. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,

Dave

Rice...put a little extra water in it and cook a bit longer for softer rice.

Hope you feel better.

Baked or mashed potatoes. I ate baked potatoes that I put in the blender with equal amounts of cottage cheese when I had my wisdom teeth out. I also drank lots of cranberry juice. It's not really food, but it has plenty of calories, and it sat better in my stomach. You don't want anything with too many spices because you undoubtedly have some blood going into your stomach, and it will make you queasy.

My suggestion would be to forget the "bland" part. See if you can handle something with some taste to it. Just a little bit, if it's too much, then go back to bland. If you can handle it, then you might get some flavor if not texture.

I'm not a doctor by the way, I just play one in my family. lol;)

I can remember LIVING on elbow macaroni with a little butter and some parmesean cheese when I had my wisdom teeth out.

Oh, and black and white frappes from Brigham's :p :p :p

scrambled eggs and ICE CREAM!!!

I lived on mashed potatoes and gravy, spoon-fed Jamba Juices, pudding, overboiled pasta, applesauce, and not much else. I am just now eating "real food" and I am glad I waited. I had to take 2 non-aspirin aspirin in order to eat, then ice my jaw down after eating. I had one taken out last Monday.... no stitches, rough recovery. But I'm leaving in a day, so I took extra precautions in order to avoid hurting myself and risking a bad trip. I told my mom and husband that going to WDW is like going to the Olympics of Eating, and I CAN NOT MISS OUT!
Good luck!

Thanks for the ideas!!!! I'm eaating Scambled eggs with cheese for breakfast!!! Probably Mashed Pots for lunch!!!! I have to agree with the olympics of eating at WDW!! that is why I had them out so I could eat whatever I wanted in 15 days!!!!

Thanks again,

Dave
