In the Passport to Disney Wonder on Page 23 they talk about the children's soda package -- is this still available?? I thought I read somewhere they discontinued this. Any one know the correct information?

I just returned from the March 31 Wonder trip. The kid's soda package is $20 ( for the entire cruise). They give you a cup which you refill at the bars...it's a little annoying because you have to remember to bring your cup with you, even at Castaway Cay. But the way my kids go through soda, it was worth it.

Forgive me for not being clear on this...I had spoken to DVC when booking our Cruise a few weeks back and they said something about a refillable mug being available for our 4 night cruise that anyone can fill but I thought they had mentioned the cost as being higher then 20.00. Are there different drink refill programs available?

Thanks
Scott and Sunny

To my knowledge, there was only one refillable mug, which was $20 ( on the 4 night Wonder). There was a $2 extra charge for a strap so the kids could wear the mug around their necks. ( This, of course, never happened....somehow I was in charge of dragging the mugs all over, refilling them and rinsing them out with the other parents over at the coffee station!)

The refillable mug is available for all ages -- not just children. It has seperate prices for each cruise duration as follows:
3 day $15
4 day $20
7 day $35
:)

I was told by friends who just returned from the 4 day Wonder that the mugs could not be filled at all locations on the ship and this was annoying to them. Has anyone else had this problem? She said that at certain bars, etc they were not allowed. You would think they would be good for any place on the ship. She also complained about wagging them around so I am still deciding on this one.

Has anyone used these? we are getting our mugs free (AAA) but it seems that everyone here agrees it is a pain to carry them around. Has anyone used these straps? Sounds like a great idea if it isn't annoying or uncomfortable. Report in!

I'm also getting the mugs through AAA. I bought the carabiner key rings to hook them to the kids belt loops or their fanny packs. The carabiners come in two sizes, one that's about 1 1/2 inches long, and one that's about 3 inches long. The little ones come in two packs for about $2.50 at Wal Mart in the camping section. The big ones are there too, but I've gotten a better price for them at Lowe's. At Lowes, they are near the checkouts where they put a variety of key-rings (usually the ones with the little tape measures, etc.) and I think they were less than $1.

I don't like the idea of a mug swinging around their neck. I think it would get in the way.

I don't know what a "carabiner" key chain looks like. Is it different or unusual? How would it hook onto the mug? Thanks for the info as this sounds like a better idea. I don't know what a "lowes" is either. Walmart I know. anyway, more details please!

They are like a big latch hook, that rope climbers use. They come in a rainbow of colors, too. Lowes is like a Home Deopt. A huge home improvement warehouse.
