SoCal AP Question

Last year I bought a So Cal pass even though I lived in Northern CA. I was also able to buy the pass on a blackout day and use it on that day. Does anyone know if you can still do that?

I think they sell blockout day passes for $25.

You can buy an AP on any day and use it that day, blackout or not. The blackout rules apply after the day of purchase.

Do SoCal or any of the AP's go date to 365 date (ie, date of purchase to one year from date of purchase) or do they expire in January regardless of DOP?

THANKS
C

It's one full year from date of first use (usually the same as date of purchase, but it's an important distinction).

and the blackout tickets went up to 30 bucks the same time the price of the APs went up

-em<<-- Whose AP always ends the first day of annual vacation to DL...July 15th :)

Thanks for the info...we were just there twice last year and are probably going down at least twice this year so APs are probably the cheaper way to go for us...

so, could we do one premium pass in our family (to get the free parking) and three standard ones then add the "blackout pass" if we need them?
TIA

Also...how do you qualify for the SoCal passes? Do you have to have a DL w/certain zip every time you come in or do you just claim a certain zip at purchase time??? Is SF area considered SoCal???

You can buy the regular passes and add parking to one pass. I think it was 35$ when we renewed ours in May. You can also purchase any combination of passes that works best for you. I think the blackout passes have gone up to $30 each, per day. For the So Cal passes you need to show an ID with an address within a certain area. Sorry, I don't know SF qualifies. Check out the DL web site, there is more info on the types of passes availible.

As for the So-cal strictness- it varies- Sometimes they require a drivers license to prove other times not- Lately Ive heard they are requireing a license- but I don't pay that close of attention as I always get a PAP (dont want to work around the black-out dates) and I live in Utah Wayyyyy outside so cal :)
