Do you need a room key to get into the SOB area? The reason I ask is I think I will be staying at the BC is December for a work event. I am bringing my ds(6) with me and my friends that live in Orlando are going to watch him while I am in a meeting Sat afternoon. I was thinking that maybe they could all just hang around the pool for the afternoon instead of going to the parks but I don't know if they will have a problem. They do both work for Disney so they wouldn't need to get passes for the parks if the pool thing did not work out. Maybe they will just want to get a room for the night anyway.

To get into SAB you need to show a room key. When we last went we just showed one (although we both had the keys on us just in case.)

Lord, edit your title!

I thought you were asking about my ex-boyfriend!! :rotfl:

They were checking ID most times between 12 and 20 Aug. I thought the posts about pool hopping at SAB were a little exagerated until I actually witnessed some of these brazen individuals showing up fully dressed and then stripping down for a swim. There was even a family who brought their cooler complete with picnic lunch and get this, All Star Resort mugs! :rolleyes1 I think that the lifeguard purposely waited until they got nice and comfortable before asking them for their room key. I take it that they couldn't produce one because they ended up packing up and leaving. Others were hopping the fence around Hurricane Hannah's but most that I saw were spoken to by the staff. It amazes me how the staff can remain professional throughout each encounter. They are absolutely gifted with patience!

I was never bothered by any of it in the least. In fact, it actually added to the entertainment value of SAB. We were making bets of ice cream at Beaches and Cream as to whether someone would be spoken to or not.

TC.

We were ther in July and while I always brought all of our keys with us they only asked to see one of them. We didn't catch any pool hoppers while we were there.

:rotfl2:

I thought I was the only one who felt this thread was coming from a completely different area!!!!!

If you're asking about the WDW kennel, no you shouldn't need your room key to visit your male dog. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

If you're asking about SAB, though, I stayed there last August-September and was never once asked for my room key. But I always brought them with me just in case. I also was never offered a wristband.

OP, I strongly recommend changing the title of the thread. Good for a :rotfl2: though.

Let me see if I got this. I will be staying at the Pop Century, if I wanted to go to the Carribian Beach Resort pool I CAN'T :confused3

No. Pool hopping is not allowed, except for DVC members. If you're staying at a resort that has a "sister" resort of the same category, you could swim at the sister resort's pool. But you can't pool hop at a pool that's reserved for use by the people who are paying for the use of that pool, namely CBR guests.
