So we have changed our resort from POFQ to the BCVs!!!  Now I am wondering what is the best plan on getting to soarn' right at park open. I know we can come in the back way, but do they bus you to the front? And where exactly do they take you to to wait for open? Or do you wait by the international gateway until open and then have to run all the way to the front? I know we want to hit this ride fast as to not have to wait. What are my options? :confused3

You do have to enter through the International Gateway, and no, there are no buses. You'll need to walk over. It isn't THAT much farther than coming in through the "front" gate.

If you walk briskly right over to Soarin, your wait should be minimal.

We stayed at the BCV last year in Oct. and entered through the gateway. They had the usual rope drop just up the hill from the back gateway. We hoofed it to soarin, grabbed a fastpass, and then did Honey I shrunk the audience. It worked out perfectly. Have fun.

Forget about any running when the rope drops. Cast Members walk in front of the crowds to Soarin' and running is not permitted.

This may be a really dumb "Soarin" question but.... We are getting there on a Friday night and Epcot has EMH. Is there anyway we will get on Soarin or should we just wait until one early morning? I might add that the night we get there it is Grad Night and MK will close early so I imagine it might be extra crowded at the other parks. ANy expert advice will be greatly apprecitated!!! :)

It took about 9 minutes for DH to walk to Soarin from the intern'l gateway. He grab fast passes, meet us at TT which we rode twice. We then used our fast passes at soarin and grab another one on the way in.

With fast pass you really don't have to worry about the wait especially at opening. Soarin can accomodate 90 people at a time and the ride is only 4-5 minutes.

Enjoy, its really great :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

We where at BWV last Oct. one morning we rode Soarin 3 times in the first hour.

Ooops, sorry, my bad! Don't want to trample anyone. I'll just keep it to a brisk walk :thumbsup2 Forgot all about those rope carriers! ;)

we were in WDW last November during Jersey week and could never get fastpass for Soaring.

of course we had a tight schedule and were not in Epcot any day when it opened. The best we could do was 11:00 am and all soaring FP were gone for the day.
So, as many others have suggested..go to Soaring first thing in morning and get FP's...

another tip, while you come out of soaring go get your FP for TT...they run out as well

No running?? We're not carrying any scissors. ;)

I'll have to practice my "brisk" walk.
Excuse me, excuse me, coming thru.

So it sounds like we should be able to walk briskly (not run! ;) ) over to soarn' and get right on, correct? My plan is to do soarn', do test-track, and then head back to Norway for breakfast with the princess around 9:45. Or is this asking too much in such a small time frame?

Honestly you may not be able to snag a FP that night.. although you might it just depends on the crowds.. Me and DD went to WDW in September over Laborday and went to EMH one evening at MGM and it was a waste.. The park was so crowded the FP werent doing any good.. we were so tired that we decided to leave and go back to the hotel..

Just fast pass and hit TT MS then come back. My son and I hit TT (twice), MS, Soarin, Space Ship Earth, Honey I shrunk the audience, Figment (twice), Innovations, the soda station, even the Land in just over two hours during Pop Warner week 2005. Just work those fastpasses because the one day I met up with my brother and his family we stood on line at Test Track for an hour then we get on the ride and I was teasing my mother in law because she thinks its a rollar coaster (giveing her the here we go, hold on routine) and some old fart in the front seat rudely asks for me to "keep it down". Can you believe I was being too loud on test track. I'm 39 years old and this old fart ruined the ride I stood on line for for an hour.

Hearing all this racing to get on Soarin' reminds me why we go in early February. We rode Soarin 5 times in one day -- only used FP for two of the rides. :cool1: :thumbsup2
