ratfam said:Hey Soarin fans, what do you think about this? ds, 7.5, gets very nervous in IMAX movies. Only recently have we even been able to get him in a theater, but he has now survived two 45 minute IMAX movies at our local science center. He has a sensory processing disorder, which may or may not be related to his dislike of IMAX, and he is more sensitive than a "normal" child to odors, textures, etc. I watched something showing Soarin last night and it looked like you fly in front of an IMAX screen. Should I not even bother trying with him? I'm assuming once the ride starts, he's stuck.

Once the car/ride "lifts" you up two or three feet, you don't actually move alot, so I don't think movement would be a problem. However, it does feel like flying, it is really realistic...for a child with sensory issues this may be a problem. You may want to go through & try this yourself to get a feel for it.
I really hope he gets to go on it...my 7yo LOVED Soarin!![]()
