We are in our last night of Disney, back to the cold PA state tomorrow. I just had to say that Soarin was the best ride we did this week. It is really cool and our 5 year old daughter loved it!

Narnia is a waste of time if you already saw the movie.

Test Track was another ride that we enjoyed too.

Great to hear you had a good trip!!! Can't wait to try Soarin now!!! :goodvibes

Why was Narnia a waste of time? I was hoping it'd be like the Haunted Mansion thing they had like that where they had bits and pieces of the movie set.

I can't wait to try this ride!!! Do you think a four year old would do alright? I'm so excited!!! :goodvibes

Yeah, Soarin' is great. When we went last year, we waited in line forever (due in large part to the rain that forced a lot of people to do the indoor ride) and everyone was starting to get grouchy, but after we got off the ride, everyone had forgotten their bad moods. It was just a great ride!

Absolutly! This was my 3yo's favorite ride, and he didn't like many of the big kid rides! He was last there in October and still talks about the "airplane ride".

We really enjoy Soarin over California, but I was wondering. How hard would it be to just call it Soarin and maybe rotate films of other states or maybe even countries? I would think changing the films would encourage a lot more repeat riders.

I believe the rumor of the changing movie has been around since it came to WDW. Rumor or a different movie or a switch from Disneyland to Disneyworld. I just love the ride regardless and can't wait to ride it again.

Soarin is awesome! It was one of our favorite rides.

As long as the 4 yr. old meets the height requirement (he should), then Soarin' should be OK. There is an extra safety strap for children, and it's a gentle ride.

We liked it & rode it several times. The first row is definitely better.

To make it better, I wish they would change a couple of things. Like the transitions...way too choppy. I also think you should get a little wet when you are flying over the ocean...right as you go over the big wave. I always expect it...

Soarin' is probably my favorite ride at WDW!! TOT is a great ride and there are a lot of classics that I love--but Soarin' just takes my breath away!!

Hey Soarin fans, what do you think about this? ds, 7.5, gets very nervous in IMAX movies. Only recently have we even been able to get him in a theater, but he has now survived two 45 minute IMAX movies at our local science center. He has a sensory processing disorder, which may or may not be related to his dislike of IMAX, and he is more sensitive than a "normal" child to odors, textures, etc. I watched something showing Soarin last night and it looked like you fly in front of an IMAX screen. Should I not even bother trying with him? I'm assuming once the ride starts, he's stuck.

I have to agree that Soarin' was fantastic. I knew it would be good but I was really just blown away with how great it really was. I wish we had more time to ride again. DS is 3 and he just barely met the height for the ride but he is still talking about the hang gliding ride. It was probably tied with Peter Pan for his favorite ride. Of course lucky DS got to ride twice since he rode with both DH and myself while we did the baby swap.

We loved Soarin' too! I was also disappointed in Narnia, but it was kinda neat to see the props from the movie and stuff. Glad you're having fun!

My 5 year old gets motion sick on some rides, so i was concerned but she did great! :thumbsup2 We actually did it 3 times!! I highly reccomend every one try it once. :cool1: Have Fun!!

I love Soarin', too! So does my husband, my sister, and my 83 year old father! Fantastic!

Have to agree that Soarin' is the best ride Disney has going. My family absolutely loves it. We would love to see more rides like it find thier way to WDW. It is just awesome. I'm not a "rollercoaster person" so it has just enough thrill for me without the "thrill ride" feel. :scared:

Here's a thought. If they can't bring back the original Journey Into Imagination, I wish they would give it a more Soarin' feel. The original Figment was about the imagination. This current one is about the 5 senses - reality, not imagination. Imagine soaring through imaginary places and imagining that you are really there. That could be kind of cool. :cool1:

Soarin' is amazing--- dh says it is his favorite because it is the only ride that feels like one of his dreams. I know what he means-- it does feel like a flyng dream-- minus any crash to earth and sudden waking!

Soarin was really a good ride. One of the few that my entire family from DD6 to my Grandfather 87 could ride together. The one thing that surprised me was that I felt "car sick" when it was over. I never do well on curvey, hilly roads and had the same feeling on this ride. I like Rock n Roller Coaster type rides so it just surprised me! I couldn't do it a second time in a row. I went for a Sprite while everyone else enjoyed a second ride. Don't miss doing it once even if you get a bit of "that feeling" :crazy2: it is worth one ride!
