The Narnia exhibit is in MGM. It takes about 10 minutes to "do." It's a walk through with your group, and you are sort of taken into the snow scene, right after entering the wardrobe. You watch some of the amazing scenes from the movie, you're visited by the white witch, and then you walk through some more artifacts. We enjoyed the exhibit very much.

If you don't want to go into the exhibit, there's a lamp scene outside the building. It's there for all to take pictures.

Hey Soarin fans, what do you think about this? ds, 7.5, gets very nervous in IMAX movies. Only recently have we even been able to get him in a theater, but he has now survived two 45 minute IMAX movies at our local science center. He has a sensory processing disorder, which may or may not be related to his dislike of IMAX, and he is more sensitive than a "normal" child to odors, textures, etc. I watched something showing Soarin last night and it looked like you fly in front of an IMAX screen. Should I not even bother trying with him? I'm assuming once the ride starts, he's stuck.

Hi

Once the car/ride "lifts" you up two or three feet, you don't actually move alot, so I don't think movement would be a problem. However, it does feel like flying, it is really realistic...for a child with sensory issues this may be a problem. You may want to go through & try this yourself to get a feel for it.

I really hope he gets to go on it...my 7yo LOVED Soarin! :goodvibes

Just back yesterday. We love Soarin!!! Rode it 5 times! Everytime we got the front too! took the inlaws and they couldn't stop talking about it!!!!

I live close to the mouse, and my fiance and I could never justify the 90 minute wait for the ride (Epcot is usually a night time thing for us, and FP's as you know are gone after 11am :rotfl: )

We finally decided to go first thing in the morning and boy were we glad we did!!

We rode it four times before 11am, and it was excellent. I think the lines are so long because it's for almost everyone. It doesn't have the stomach lurching factor of many of the roller coasters or Mission Space, and visually is spectacular.

Honestly, we were non-believers, but after our first ride, we couldn't stop....it's unlike any other ride I've ever been on, and worth every second in line....and the front row is definitely the best.

The sign showed that it was a 50 minute wait and we went in and it only took 20 minutes till we got on the ride. So I think it acually moves along pretty quickly.

If I'm not mistaken, in the front row, you are about 40 feet off the floor, not two or three. I don't know if that would make a difference to ratfam or not. Brooknwdw is right, though. Once you're up, you're in for the ride!!

Ratfam,

Not sure about your son's sensitivities. It is a HUGE screen.

I have to agree with Brooknwdw about trying it first if you think it might be a problem. I was sweating bullets before I went the first time because of all the warning signs. I hate heights and anything fast moving, so I thought I was a gonner. I can honestly say I was surprised and delighted that I had no problems (even though I still can't look down. :scared:

However, my DH who never has issues with anything found that it bothered his inner ear and didn't like the sensation of it. Nothing bothers him - ever, so you might not think it's a problem for you but might still be a problem for your child.
:scratchin

We rode Soarin many times on our trip (w/o kids) last November/December. My wife and I both loved it. The one night we rode it just as EC was about to close. But since EC had EMH that night, we were able to get right back in line while many people were being turned away. It was a pleasure to enter the line and walk non-stop to the pre-show area.

We didn't get to try Soarin' on our last trip due to huge lines. We're headed back in May (and October!!) and I was wondering if anyone knows the height restriction. I'm sure my 8 yr old will make it but I've noticed some posters say their 4-yr olds went on. I'd be surprised if my 4-yr-old meets the height requirement. Thanks for any info!

From Disney.com: Height Requirement: 40" (102 cm) or taller for Soarin'.

Thanks for the input! Ultimately it will be his call anyway, we can always wait and if he doesn't like the looks of it dh or I will just leave with him.
