Soarin'(Original) May Take Flight May 27!

We are there 6/11-6/17. Planning on Epcot 6/13 and 6/17. That would be great to do it both days! Waiting helplessly for FP to open up and at least get one for 6/17. Dreamed about it all night after it didn't come live at midnight Eastern. By the time I got up I wasn't sure if I really had a FP or not! Sadly, no!

The FP's opened this afternoon!!

It would certainly be possible to leave the Warburton intro/safety talk as-is.

He actually says "Soarin' Over California" in the version of the intro that is still in use at DCA in Anaheim.
That "Over California" line is dropped from the script in the version that plays in Epcot.

But, its also possible that they have created an all-new intro for use with the new Soarin' film.

Time will tell.

I really hope this happens. I am taking a couple of first timers and our Epcot day is May 28th. They were disappointed when I told them no Soarin! They would be so happy to get to see it even with the old movie!

It's not even listed as an option during that time. I'm guessing will be standby only.

I would be happy to ride the old Soarin'! Not as happy as riding the new one, but I'll take it!

We'll be there 4-12 June. I'd love 1 more chance to do classic Soarin--especially since the alternative is no Soarin during our visit.

We will be there Memorial day weekend, and would LOVE to see old Soarin' one last time. My husband was so disappointed to hear that not only would it be closed for our trip, but that we would not see the old film again. I'll keep this one as a nice surprise if it does happen.

That's our last full day in the parks and we were planning to end the evening in Epcot. Boom!! This would be great - as we all love that ride.

Sadly, I never got to ride the previous generation, and my last day at Disney will be May 20th. But at least there's still YouTube... somehow, I don't think that's the same.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh! I was holding off on booking FP for our June trip hoping that Soarin' would show up! I cannot even say how excited I would be if we could see both films.

Man that stinks. We all know they have to close it to prep for the new movie, but why did they allow folks to book that date and time slots? They must have known for quite a while that they would need to close it to prepare.
