Soarin - Last Legacy FP Ever?

We were at Epcot yesterday. That happened to be the last day for Legacy FP and Epcot was the last park to still offer that option. I decided I would like to pull one of the final Fastpasses for Soarin and that evening they had covered all the machines except one. The FP return time was 8:25-9:00 (park closing) so I knew they were about exhausted. No one else was around so I don't know if I was the very last or not but here's a photo of one of, if not the last, Legacy Fastpasses ever for Soarin.

I hear you can still get them at DLR. ;)

Still, I'd save that one for the scrapbook.

Awww.

I'm jealous that you were able to pull at FP at 5:17, though. When we were there in October, it was during the "glitch" time and I think all the paper FPs were gone before 9:30.

I had been pondering the question of the Last Ever Legacy FastPass, for which the who, when, and where are buried somewhere in Disney's servers. Certainly Disney would never make public the "who", but then "when" and "where" would be an interesting bit of Disney history.

My guess is that the very last one was probably pulled at Mission Space or Maelstrom. Very likely not Soarin, as that attraction would have run out earlier than those other two.

I agree. It probably wasn't the last one issued in the park but possibly the last one for Soarin. I was in the Soarin area at the time and that one had more appeal to me as a souvenir than something like Maelstrom.

Wow! I remember how excited my dad was to "unveil" his FP- trip planning on the first family trip when we were able to use FP many years ago. He read The Unofficial Guide cover to cover and had the whole thing mapped out. He was so proud of how he was going to help us avoid lines. Then over the years I took the trip planning reigns and bumped it up a notch. This is the end if an era for me, for sure. Thanks for sharing this photo!
