Karla and Vitolio, also just okay for me. I don't really enjoy them as a couple.

Even though I slammed on Phillip, I am OK with him staying last night. And I agree, Phillip is very good at what he does, but will not last as a one trick pony (echoed by Nigel last night) so will liekly be gone shortly. I also agree that Kayla's solo blew! She must have been super nervous - even the first leg-lift-balance thingy almost topped over (not that I can even get my leg over my waist but let's not go there.....). But...she definately does have talent so OK that she stayed. I am liking Kupono more and more and he is definately getting cuter!!

I can't seem to get into Randi and Evan for some reason? Not sure why, just not feeling them for some reason. I haven't gotten the same feeling (yet) this season as last in terms of dancers or dances I thought were really special. Last year the Chelsea/Mark dance to Bleeding Love really sticks in my head as does Wil's dances (loved Wil - like Brandon but loved Wil!). Hopefully things will pick up as we get down to the top 10.

I knew Phillip was not going home. He's the only hiphop person left and there is no way they will get rid of him before top 10. won't happen. even if his routine is the worst of the night and his solo sucks. His partner, what's her name, is nothing special in my book either. yet they gushed all over her...

I thought Karla's solo was stronger than Kayla's too - but again they have the hots for Kayla and she isn't going anywhere either.

No surprise at Vitolio going home before Kupono - they freely admit that their decisions are made to shape the top 10, and they already have a black contemporary dancer - Brandon. Brandon is stronger than Vitolio so he was expendable. Kupono is not consistent from week to week, but they seem to like his quirkiness.

I dearly love this show, but am enough of a realist to think that good dancing gets you into the top twenty, but then personality gets you into the top ten, and then, hopefully, a combination of the two gets you to the top. In order for it to continue, it has to get high ratings, and cute guys/pretty girls doing sexy routines is going to pull those. I don't mind all of this, just enjoy it and don't take it too seriously

O.K. as much as it pains me to say it, they always deliver. Show after show they do awesome.
Kayla and Kupono~
I really didn't like them. At all. I am glad they were both in the bottom three, and I think they are the next couple to go.
Randi and Evan~
One of my favorite couples! I love their chemistry, and their dancing is wonderful.
Caitlin and Jason~
I cannot believe that they weren't in the bottom three. I didn't think they were better than Phillip and Jeanine. No way IMO.
Phillip and Jeanine~
Wonderful routine, really cute couple. Another favorite!
Ade and Melissa~
Their routine stank period. Romeo and Juliet? YOUNG LOVERS. She is like OLD, and he is no Romeo.

Overall I am glad Carla went home, and I am REALLY HAPPY that Vitolio went home as well.

I don't have any that I really dislike but I'd sure like to see Phillip and Evan get a genre that is totally opposite of their own to see if they have the overall talent that I think Brandon has. It's hard to judge when Phillip has had 2 hip hops and Evan has had Broadway and Broadway-like routines.

I totally agree. I like Phillip but Hip Hop two times out of four??????? After the judges said he needed to step up his game?

I guess I'm not the only one whop wonders how 'random' the draws really are.

It would be fun to see a dancer without ballet training get the pas de deux. Philip, for example

I doubt that he would have that in his hat. Unless the producers are ready to see him go there is no way he will get a dance that will show him falling any flatter than he already has.

I know but there is something "fixed" about a guy like Phillip getting two chances in his own genre and then when he is in the bottom three, dancing his own genre, managing to remain in the competition. The judges say that they consider all of the previous performances when making decisions. How on Earth can they keep Phillip when his Tango was , his Broadway was and he landed in the bottom with Hip Hop?????

I think that the producers thought that Jason would be in the bottom and problem solved but no such luck.

That said, I LOVED LOVED LOVED the routine that Mia did. It left me breathless. It was so powerful to me.

But then they did West Side Story and he was back to feminine. I just couldn't buy that he was in love with Kayla. I know that sounds horrible and I don't mean it to but oh man the 'love connection' was so missing!

Loved Randi and Evan even if their dances weren't great. I don't know, they are just so likable. And really memorable, they preform! The judges were spot on when they said Pasha and Anya would have been so much hotter!

I totally forgot about Caitlin and Jason and Melissa and Ade by the end of the show.

Phillip surprised me. I was expecting him to be a disaster but he pulled it off. I think he is committed now. They will keep him. He is the only hip hopper left. Jeannine is quickly becoming one of my favorites.

Brandon and Jeannette were obviously the stars of the night. Flawless on both dances. They are the best couple. They remind me of the Benji/Donyell magic. Let's see how they do apart. Brandon SHOULD win and she should be the top girl but we'll see. There is always some shocker.

We are pretty much in agreement here. I'm pretty sure Caitlin will go this week (assuming she is in the bottom 3 which I think she and Jason will be). I actually think she would have gone last week if the pity vote hadn't kept them out of the bottom 3.

After last week, I thought Kupono would go this week. But after watching tonight's show, it will be a coin toss tomorrow between Jason and Kupono if they both end up in the bottom 3.

Sadly, no one has grabbed me this season. A couple of dancers are growing on me, but I haven't LOVED anyone from the very beginning.

I was a little upset that Wade's routine had nothing to do with Michael Jackson...I keep expecting them to do something! Especially after seeing an interview with Debbie Allen and how close they were.

I thought last night's show was the best one in a long, long time... it might have been my favorite night ever on the show. I thought all the dances were amazing! My favorite of the night was Kayla and Kupono's first dance... it was gorgeous, as always with Mia's routines. I loved it and it might have been my favorite dance ever on the show. Their second one, though, was boring for a Broadway routine. It wasn't strong enough. They're a toss-up for the bottom 3.

The only other dances I didn't like were Janine and Phillip's. The first dance was horrendous... it reminded me of the dancing dolls in the beginning of Shrek I just don't like Phillip and can't stand that he's still there. I like him as a person and think he's great at what he does, but week after week he's horrendous at every other style yet he gets by. It's not fair to the other dancers who really are good at everything. Janine was really good though, so it'll be interesting to see what happens when they have new partners. They SHOULD be in the bottom 3, but I don't think they will be.

I love Brandon and Janette, Randi and Evan. They're still my top 4 dancers and I think Brandon should win with Janette getting the top girl award. Both their dances were amazing last night... they're both incredibly good at every single style of dance! I liked Randi and Evan's first dance but thought it would've been better without the story. I didn't get anything about her being pregnant, and as soon as Evan got down on his knee it turned into the cheesiest dance of the night. It would've been better without all that, but they were good.

I also really liked Melissa and Ade. I don't get all the Melissa hate on here. She's not the best girl there but she's good! Caitlin and Jason haven't been able to get back that magic of their first routine so they're almost a shoe-in for the bottom 3. I'd like to see Jason stay though since he's a much better dancer than Kupono.

I think Melissa is a fantastic dancer, but she just bugs me...I can't pin it down as to why...in fact, in the begining, I had picked her as one of my favs and hated how they kept bringing up her age.

I love Evan, but is it just me or does he nearly ALWAYS have that geeky grin on his face? He just doesn't seem to have the acting range to play parts in the dances...I also think he's still uncomfortable dancing with a married woman...or maybe he's just not sexy? lol

I thought the same thing! For a Broadway dancer he isn't that good at acting the part. Phillip's still the worst though, he has no idea what to do with his face and always looks confused and/or constipated during all of his dances I love him in his own style, I just don't get how he keeps getting by dancing horribly!

I've thought from the beginning that his brother is actually the better dancer overall, and they didn't show us just how much better so they could save him for next season.

I don't hate Melissa. I find her and Ade forgettable. I forget that they are even on the show by the time the 2 hours are over.

I remember Kupono as bugging me. I remember Caitlin because I don't 'connect' with her but Melissa and Ade, I forget about!

They are all great dancers. No one can argue with that.

I also agree that Phillip and Jeanneane's 1st dance was ridiculous BUT they DID dance it well. Some of that stuff was HARD. The choreography sucked and the costumes were (imo) silly but you can't blame the dancer for that. I think they will get the sympathy vote the same way Caitlin and Jason did last week.

I'm ok with Kupono, Jason or Ade leaving.
For the girls, as I said, I'd like to see Caitlin go.

I think people are right about them shaping the tour (top 10.) They want Phillip and Melissa on tour. I can't decide if they want Kupono or Jason more on tour. I'm going to guess Kupono. Caitlin is expendable as they have Kayla and Randi.

I thought the show last night made the choice of who goes home extremely hard. Everyone was fabulous, they danced their heart out, and really showed America why they are still here.

Bottom Three:

I am still rooting for Phillip! He has really stepped up his game, but I am so sad that his partnership with Janeane (sp?) is ending I hope that doesn't ruin either of them.
Also the Ryan and Evan partnership... I loved them! I hope when they're apart they don't fall apart!

This post really bothered me~ first of all if Melissa is old most of us on the dis should be picking out grave sites. That was a 100% rude comment.

2nd & most important~ dance is about fantasy. It is the art of being transported through movement & music. Luckily today in all the major dance theaters in the world dancers look different...all shades & ethnic backgrounds, it has enriched the world of dance.
Perhaps I can now see this because I am so "old" & thank goodness my niece is no longer faced with audition barriers that I was once faced with years ago.

I also enjoyed last night show and as expected loved the Mia routine. Dancers are very lucky when they get her! I am anxious to see how they do without their current partners. Kayla has proved she is very good with multiple partners. Brandon is amazing and I am wondering if he is making Jeanette look better. I hope not and hope she shines with a new partner.

I am thinking the same think with Randi and Evan and Jeannine and Phillp. I think Randi is better then Evan and Jeannine better then Phillip. It will be interesting. I wonder how they will deal with the Evan height issue. Can you imagine him paired with Kayla?

I agree that Caitlin will go. I think the rest of the girls are really strong and it will get tough from here. The boys - Kapono and/or Jason and/or Ade. I think it will depend on the strength of solos. I think Brandon has it locked up for the boys. I didn't like him in the beginning but he has really grown on me.

Last night's show was really great. For me, I'd be happy if Melissa went home and either Jason or Phillip. Jason seemed a little goofy to me during the foxtrot whereas I think Caitlin did an amazing job on the foxtrot. She was beautiful and sexy and the dance suited her to a T.

Phillip just isn't that great when it comes to anything other than his hip-hop style. Jeannine (sp?) on the other hand is fabulous and her part of the jive was incredible!

Melissa is annoying, and as others have said, I don't know why. Something about her though drives me nuts and I do think that her and Ade are completely forgettable.

As for the rest, Brandon & Jeannette were amazing. I LOVED the bank robber dance by Wade Robson. I adore and have adored Randi & Evan since the beginning and am continuously rooting for them even though their samba was very weak (esp compared to how Kayla & Max danced it!). Still rooting for Caitlin as she is the hometown girl for me!

Tonight should be a good show!
