If Jakob doesn't make it to the finals it would be a crime. He may not be the most personable for the TV clips, but he does have great performance quality in his dances. Danny Tidwell made it to the finals of season 3 w/ much less personality for both the clip packages & the dances -- I'd probably argue less technical skill too.

I hope DD is enough to keep him in it anyway -- she used up all of the votes on all of our phones voting for Jakob last night!

IMO Jakob is among the top 5 dancers in all seasons of the show. I sure hope we get the opportunity next season to see what Billy Bell can do, because I think he's of this caliber also.

Love Ellenore, but I think pairing Jakob w/ Kathryn would have left everyone in the dust. I suspect she's got the goods to be an all star across all of the seasons too. Oooh, I'd love to see an all star competition with the best of the best!

It was a rare parasitic infection she got while traveling in the Pacific with her dance company.

I hope it's Ashleigh and Ryan tonight. If you look in the audience, I don't see any signs for them, aside from their parents. And it's all on the votes now, not the judges--I think the judges would keep both of them, sending Nathan and maybe Mollee packing. Mollee may still go. I think Nathan has a fan base that will keep him another week, though.

I would love to see Jakob and Kathryn in the fianls, I think they're both fabulous.

I found it interesting when Noelle was talking about her struggle to finish HS between auditions. Funny to think of her and Mollee as being the same age. She seems a decade older, maturity-wise.

I wish that somehow they'd tip Ryan and Ashleigh off that they were going and have them do a final dance together.

You all said what needed to be said about last night.

In general I want to add they need to STOP watering hip hop down. They don't make the other dances easier for the hip hop dancers but it certainly seems they are trying to make hip hop easier for the other style dancers. Last night was the prefect example. I wouldn't have called either of those routines hip hop.

Did it seem like Kathryn expected to go home last night? Sure did to me -- although it seemed like Noelle thought she was going, too.

I found it puzzling that it was two partner sets that were in the bottom two. (Nathan and Kathryn and wasn't Noelle with Ryan?)

I also think we now know why Mollee and Nathan stopped doing so well. I guess Nigel was somewhat correct about the tweeny boppers--they won't be able to hire Nathan and I guess there just wasn't lots of them.

Also--while Kathryn and Nathan danced well last evening, their pieces were very lackluster in general that wouldn't connect with an audience. I recall it being mentioned that some dance styles just do not pull the votes b/c even when done flawlessly, the audience just doesn't connect with it--hence why sometimes you get some shocking results the following evening. In watching their pieces last night--I even had to FF through Kathryn and Nathan. It wasn't a commentary on them, but more a commentary of the dance style/choreography.

I'm surprised though b/c after the package comments of last week--I was on edge for Mollee since her package was heavily focused on HSM while most everyone else's seems so poignant.

And at least the mystery is solved on Ashleigh's illness. I do have to give the girl props for dancing so well after such a long hiatus during what is usually a critical time in a dancers development.

I think we really have gotten to the point where eliminations are just going to be tough. Everyone is just so good and in any given week someone can "flop" if not technically or stylistically--then simply b/c the audience liked someone else's dance better that week.


And I am beginning to get annoyed with Ashleigh and her rooting for her DH. I get it--but I wish she wouldn't get so darn depressed if he gets in the bottom and so celebratory when he makes it. It just seems rather unprofessional to me since she is NOT an audience member, but part of the SYTYCD family.

Don't know the answer to your question but I felt like I was watching a Hip Hop ballet and I loved everything that group did. Flawless and absolutely amazing.

I was mesmerized! I kept thinking that somehow there was zero gravity,they just seemed to float and levitate, it was amazing!

...I liked the 'quirkiness' aspect of it, in that the music was so not hip-hop, yet everything was flowing!

What we are saying is that we can't believe that more people actually voted for Ashleigh over Katheryn.
