yes - Russell had to dance something Latin the 1st week with his choreographer Melanie LaPatin, Noelle had a foot injury. He did really well last night adjusting to the stand-in partners.

At this point - if you can't dance, you leave. period. If any of the other women get voted off it will be a travesty, especially since Ashley is the weakest dancer left in the competition.

yet again - Ryan received the "great partnering" comment. enough already! if he doesn't stand out on his own - send him home.

Well, now I will be really upset if Ashleigh stays -- evidently Ellenore performed last night after seriously injuring her shoulder/clavicle? this past week. She and Legacy were unable to do much practice. I would never have known from all that she did last night -- without any pleas to the audience.

In fairness to Ashleigh, they did say that the show would not clear her (allow her) to dance last night. Tough break for her and Russell, although he did beautifully. I really did not like Ashleigh at the beginning, but I have to admit that all her routines have been really well done.

Same with Molly...when she was partnered with Nathan, I wanted them both to leave. But she has come such a long way. Her waltz with Jakob was absolutely beautiful. They were both perfect and it was so enjoyable to watch.

I really enjoyed Legacy and Ellenore's routine with the table also. Amazing timing to get all those moves right.

At this point, I don't even know who I want to win. They are all doing so well (Ryan could leave and it would be fine with me!)

Seems like I am in the minority.. But I LOVE Ryan and Ashleigh. I thought it was the sweetest thing ever that when Cat asked him what number to call he said "1". I think they are both great dancers. It is SO unfortunate for Ashleigh that she was injured, but in her defense they would not LET her dance. How is it fair for Noelle to not dance the first show but get a free ride yet Ashleigh gets injured and everyone says she should for SURE go home? And you KNOW she would have killed that Hip Hop and Bollywood dance.

Maybe its just my affinity for Underdogs, but I am rooting for the married couple all the way! Plus, there hasn't been a ballroom dancer in the finale since Lacey (season 3).

I felt bad for Legacy and Elinore doing that terrible alien dance as their last dance before voting. Why couldn't their dances have been in the opposite order? Those poncho things were the dorkiest costumes I've seen this season.

I found the "Vote #1!" and tearing up to be very contrived. But, I always find Ryan very fake--maybe the big teeth and the unbuttoned shirt just don't sit right with me, I don't know.

My D and I have decided that there's a magnetic impulse or something in his body that doesn't allow Ryan's shirt to be buttoned...he could be in court in a business shirt and suddenly his shirt would be open to his waist.

I don't like Elenore as much as everyone else here seems to.

In fact I liked Noelle better. But I think Noelle was too similar to Katherine, and in a head to head competition between Noelle and Katherine; no doubt Katherine would win, so I wasn't surprised Noelle went home.

The girls are tough. I think Katherine is the best dancer, and I think Molly has grown the most. I'd like to see both of them stay. I mentioned I'm not an Elenore fan, so I'd be OK with her going. I was actually starting to like Ashleigh more than I did in the begining... but with the timing of her injury, I just can't see voting for her when she didn't dance, so I'd be fine if she went too.

It will be interesting to see how the injury vote plays out though. I can see a lot of teen girls thinking Ryan's little vote for Ashleigh plea was oh so romantic and being swayed by it. So I won't be surprised if she stays tonight.


The guys are much easier for me. My favorite to least favorite goes like this:

My suggestion about Noelle dancing in the finale was only in the event Ashleigh goes through but is unable to dance. Sure, you could say, oh, well then she's out, but that leaves one of the guys w/o a partner. Of course, now that I'm typing it out I realize that if Ashleigh does go through but is unable to perform the girl eliminated tonight should be the fill in -- sort of the same way that the choreographer's assistants fill in. I just think it is more seamless to have one of the other dancers fill in.

I really don't think Ashleigh fit the top 20 & wouldn't have remained if she didn't have Jakob as a partner. The first few dances, she didn't -- dance, that is. Jakob danced. Ashleigh slithered around him & posed. She has improved & I actually think she would have likely out-danced both assistants dancing w/ Russell last night. It's an unfortunate situation, but I think it's extremely unfair to the girls who did dance if Ashleigh remains.

Was anyone else surprised by the results? I did not see Legacy going. I did not like him at the very beginning, but thought he proved himself to be a great dancer. I really thought Ryan was leaving. The girls, I was less sure. But I did kind of think Ashleigh would have been going. I think that all 4 of the girls were really good. I felt bad for Mollee.

I'm very unhappy with these results. I cannot believe that Ryan and Ashleigh are in. And if they dance ballroom of any sort next week, I'll probably stop watching this show. I couldn't believe she made it this far and after not performing, I'm in shock. What was America thinking?
And Ryan? He is just "ick" to me. I don't like anything about him. I'm really disappointed he's in the finale.

I think Jakob is the best dancer. I like him a lot and he is consistantly good every week.
That said, I think Russell is probably my favorite. His personality is just super and he really is truly talented. I think he is a great dancer but not as good as Jakob. But, he'd my pick for "favorite".
Legacy was probably my #3 pick. Way, way above Ryan.

I thought Mollee did exceptional last night. I am very sad to see her go. I wanted her to go home the whole time she was paired with Nathan. However, since then, she has grown on me and I thinkshe is one of the best girl dancers up there.

I really like Ellanore and think she has great talent. I thought their table dance last night was just wonderful and amazing. I'm glad for her that she made it to the finale.

I think Katherine has a lot of talent but she isn't a personality that stands out for me. Still, I think she deserves to be in the top 6.
But Ashleigh, no way. Molle was ROBBED. JMHO

Yes Expected Ashleigh and Ryan to go home together. Well hoped for it anyway... He reminds me of a used car salesman and well Ashleigh might have improved but not to the level of the other girls.

I thought of that. Ick, ick, ick. And like I said, if they were to get any type of ballroom style, I'm most likely done.

And while I'm being such a meanie, those Wonder Girls were not so wonderful and I wondered why they were even there.

I did not see Mollee going and I do not blame Ashleigh for that.

Just b/c Ashleigh was part of the last 2 girls--it doesn't mean she couldn't have been the highest vote getter.

And as the rules stand, it seems they have leeway for injury.

I remember a few season ago--there was this really neat dancer and she got ill and coudln't dance. It was still during the judges elimAination, so she did have to dance for her life the next night. If she was unable, then she would have been voted out.

Same deal for Noelle sort of--the judges likely already had an idea who they wished to eliminate and they opted to save her. She would have been out automatically teh following week if she could not perform.

Ashleigh isn't above any rules. She's just in a different section where the public gets to decide. And the judges are always harping on taking hte entire season into account. So that is what the public had to do with Asheligh. For if she totally sucked (she wasn't ever in the bottom, was she?), the audience woudln't care at all.

As for Ryan and Asheligh--I think he got *swoon* votes if you ask me.

As for the competition, after the game show scandals in decades past, all contest/game show type shows are very meticulous at making sure everything is on the up and up. The only people responsible for the results is the callers.

FWIW--I felt what Ryan did was inappropriate. Just my $.02. It would be different if he was the same sex as she and essentially giving up a slot, but he is not. Ashleigh got an unfair advantage if you will--by having someone supporting her having the ability to take up mic time to do it. No other contestant has that. I have no issue with a married couple--or any other relative--but I do not think it is fair and should be against the rules to permit that behavior. The other contestants are left with their cheering sections and the posters they bring and depend on a random camera.
