So Why Ride the Busses When I can Drive?

In the past, there was very little, if any, extra expense for renting a car compared to paying roundtrip from MCO to WDW. Now WDW has the Magical Express for free.

We have always had a car (either drove our own or rented when we traveled by air) so we have gotten accustomed to it. We will rent a car during our next visit as we plan to stay offsite a few nights to visit USF/IoA.

It is so much more relaxing to travel by car than to wait on and ride on crowded Disney buses. We keep a cooler with drinks and snacks in the car and can have a quiet time of conversation AND we don't have to stand. :cool1:

WDW maps and signage make travel around WDW simple and easy. Traffic flow has been very efficient during the times we have driven around WDW. :thumbsup2

For the first few years after college, I couldn't afford a car, so I took a bus everywhere. Maybe that's why riding buses at WDW doesn't appeal to me. On our first trip, we took the buses, and while there is nothing wrong with them, I prefer just going out to the parking lot, getting in my car and driving away, instead of waiting for a bus to come and then risking standing the entire way to the hotel.
