My family and I went this past December 12/23-12/29
to Pop Century and decorated the room with christmas tree,lights and gifts.Extra magical feel.I use fast pass to skip long lines. The park closed 12:00 A.M. is amazing.No crowds in the nights .Christmas day was magical for my kids 9,5. I am going this May 5/20-6/03 but i wish can come back in Christmas time.

We are going in July and thinking about right after Christmas since it is so wonderful at that time. Also, we are not sure how much longer DD,age 18 in Nov., will continue to want to travel with us and DD,age 14. It might be a last trip together(sob!)

Don't lose hope about the older ones wanting to travel with you - my twin 25 yo DSs still join us when we go to Disney. Did so in November 2 years ago, were planning to this April but have to work, and will join us in the World after our DCL cruise ends on 12/19. This is the one trip they do join us on because you're never too old for Disney. Especially Downtown Disney at night when your 25

The no crowds in the evening... this is what I was hoping for. A quick monorail ride over and DGD and I could just go in the park for an evening of a couple of rides, or just walking up Main Street.

YAY!!!

BTW, did you go to the MK on Christmas Day?

Hi,

Our family of four will be at WDW this December, staying at WL. It has been about 8 years since our last WDW trip. We are anxious to see WL. We hear they really do it up well at Christmas. We actually lucked out on our room. We just got in under the wire for value season rates. We are checking in on the last day of value season but the bulk of our stay will be during holiday season.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a nice Christmas Eve/Christmas Day dinner at a Disney resort? Hope everyone enjoys their Christmas season at WDW.

We'll be there Dec. 26 thru Jan. 2. We've done this every other year for a while, and love it, despite the crowds! We always do YC/BC, but this time are trying concierge. Can't wait!


And Travellady: We are a family of three adult daughters in their 30's, parents and now small children. And we STILL do a Disney trip every year (or close.) So don't worry!!!!

We went in 2002 during Christmas, and can't wait to go again. The crowds are tiny until about the 23rd. We rode splash mountain thirteen times in a row!

Haven't decided where to stay yet though.

We were there all day.... It is the best place on earth to be on Christmas Day.

I have been lurking but am getting so excited for our trip that I just made reservations for in December that I had to post. We will be staying at Pop Century from Dec 1- Dec 7th or so to try something new and different. We took our kids last October for my son's 3rd Birthday and all he talks about is "the next time we go to Disney World...". I somehow talked my husband into going again this year. I think Disney is growing on him! I have been to Disney many times growing up and now it is even more enjoyable to see it through our kids' eyes. I have been there 3 times around Chrismas (once on Christmas Day) and absolutely love the decorations and atmosphere. Does anyone know how early they start having the Very Merry Christmas Party? I would love to do this again if they have it during our stay!

Hi - We will be there starting 12/11 for 8 wonderful nights. We will be driving. My DH and I will buy our AP's this summer and then wait for codes to come out before we decide where we are staying. I think I have changed our restaurant list at 10 times already. I check these boards every day for my daily disney fix. I read resort reviews. I look at resort pictures to put together my top 5 choice for when codes come out. We go to Disney every December and just love that time of year. I can hardly wait until MVMCP tickets come out so that I can buy those. When I have the party tickets in my hands, the trip somehow seems closer even if it is still months away. Glad I am not the only one to obsess about Disney and planning the trip. My DH just laughs at me because we always wait for codes to come out before booking. He told me to relax we wont hear anything until at least the end of August... BUT I JUST CAN'T HELP MYSELF..... See you at the House of Mouse in December.

We are leaving home on Thanksgiving day and spending 1 night on the road and 3 nights at Daytona Beach. We plan on hitting WDW on the 29th for 9 nights at POP. Can't wait! I have already got a good stash of necessities that I find on sale put away. My husband thinks I am crazy and I don't even go there with my friends. They know we are going but they don't know how obsesed with this trip I am. I do a good job of hiding my addiction but don't know how much longer I can contain myself. It is good to have other addicts that understand what I am going through. Is there a seven step program for this? Not that I even want to think about giving it up!
