So, who is going for Christmas 2004???

The 2 times I have been to WDW have been Christmas week (we have some teachers in the family so we can only go when school is out.) Let me tell you, the place is BEAUTIFUL this time of year. Make sure to take time to go see the Osborne Lights (if they're still there?) It just makes the holiday spirit all the more amazing to be at WDW during this time. However, I started a thread called Cranky Holiday Crowds. Take a look at it if you have never been there during this time of year. When you're dragging around kids and strollers and food and cameras and you are told you have to stand in a line for 2-3 hours you can sometimes see the worst side of people. A few spoilers could never ruin a day at Disney, but it is good to prepare yourself for some people you may encounter who weren't raised with a "Disney Attitude." Have a GREAT time everyone, I'M SO JEALOUS!!

I don't know how I missed this thread. We will be there as well. Right now the plan is for at least 12 people traveling with us. All at BWV from December 5th through the 1oth. Then AKl for the 11th and 12th.
For those that asked about December fares for Southwest... Last year they were released mid-July.

I am going after the cruise. We will be back on the 30th and will stay until Jan 2nd. This will be the 1st time I am taking them to Epcot. I hope they like it. They are 7 and 4. We go every yr and have done all the parks except Epcot. I can't wait. I am just a little nervous aboutt he crowds. This is the 1st time we r going during xmas. WE usu go in FEb/?

Thanks for the Southwest tip. I have been driving myself crazy all day. USAIR is sold out on 12/17-12/24 and then from 12/26-12/27. And SW has no fares listed after September!! I was stressed out!!!

There are going to be a ton of us down in WDW this year!! I am planning on a LOT of resort time!!! And going to the parks later in the evening...

My husband, 2 girls (4 and 9) and my parents are going the week before Christmas for our first time over the season. We are so excited and it is to be a surprise for the girls...this is very hard keeping a secret! Like the little blue engine, I think I can, I think I can!

We changed our dates from December 1 through the 9th. Keep me updated on a Dis meet, I would be interested. My husband thinks its a little odd that I Dis so much soooooooooooo long before a trip, but doesn't complain that our trips go so smoothly! He only part way gets it!!!!! However when he has a question he always asks me to go on my "site" and ask someone. LOL

I'm hoping for a December trip to celebrate DD 6th birthday. (December 30). However since we're going in July and have along trip schedule July 2005 (13 days), I don't know whether I can talk DH into it. Since we have the AP already, if the codes come out and are good I'm hoping to try the POR out. It would be cheaper since we always do GF (since we're 5 people). Anyway that's my idea to lure him with the discount in a moderate for a short trip. Wish me luck. I'll probably start working on him when we get back from the July trip. You know, always planning. . . .

Every year we go over for some time now. Even if only for one night, would never miss a Disney Christmas with all the great decorations. last year we stayed at the WL - Conc. . Love the decorations there.

I am so glad that I am not alone in my obsessing about my Dec trip. It will be the first time that I will have gone during the holidays and the first time at WDW with a child, DGD is 8. I keep going over my itinerary and have made many many changes. I have even added a day to our trip. We will be going down on Friday Dec 3. I have told myself that the extra money for Friday at the VWL is money well spent because I won't have to be getting my DGD up at 3am to catch a morning flight on Sat, and that it will be so much better for her to be able to get settled at Disney right away and not have to go from one hotel to the lodge (had planned at first to stay Friday night at a hotel near the airport.) There is not a day goes by that the subject of our Dec trip does not enter into a conversation somewhere. I am very sure that my family is almost ready to have me commited. I just can't help myself. The minute I think about our Dec trip my mind gets to giggling and before I know it out of my mouth comes some question or suggestion of things I think my DGD will enjoy. I just can hardly wait!
