Not sure if people like to admit it or not. But I'm definitely curious. I see a lot more "sale pending" labels on the broker's websites today.

We haven't yet, but have certainly been thinking about it. 50 -100 more points would do us just right .

I have definitely been looking. I really want some BCV points but don't think I'll find what I want in the next few weeks since I haven't found it in the last several months. I am really pushing my sister to buy a loaded contract, though as they have been thinking about joining for awhile.

resales that close after march 20, 2010 will not have access to trading in the disney collection, including trading for the GF, disneyland hotels and cruises, and the concierge collection.

I noticed more sales pending as well when I was scoping them out this afternoon.
We signed our paperwork Monday, and the contract was sent to ROFR yesterday.

Actually Disney has informed us (The Timeshare Store, Inc.®) --"If the contract is submitted for review on or before March 20, 2011 it will not be subject to the changes."

So technically someone could buy on March 19th and if they returned the documents on March 20th along with the seller then it would still have all the benefits as if bought from Disney as long as The Timeshare Store, Inc.® submitted the contact to Disney on March 20th.

Most likely though you will need to buy by March 15th, 2011 to make sure documents can get back by the March 20th deadline.

That's great news. Thank you for clarifying this Jason!

We made an offer today. Waiting to hear back from the seller now.

:sad1:
I tried to buy early this morning -
I looked at the contracts last night -picked out a nice loaded one
sent an email -left a message got up early and called and ya it was already sold
or in the process I guess an hour later it was marked pending -
I'm Sad -Maybe tomorrow

I didn't think I would ... but this morning's email had a listing that I'd been waiting for (resort/UY). I sent an "I'll take it!" email ... but it may very likely already be gone. We'll see how it goes ...

Yeah...I was eyeing the April 50pt contract WLV....sale pending now:mad:

BTW....
Can a DVC owner add on through Disney at a different resort.....or do you have to start with a new 160pt contract.
Thanks
Kerri

you can add-on at a different resort directly for as low as 25 pts (cash) or 50 pts (financed).

you cannot mix-and-match pts when you call to book at 11 months, tho. if you've got 1000 SSR pts and 25 BLT pts, you can only use the BLT contract to book BLT at 11 months out while the SSR points are sidelined until the 7 month window opens. the SSR pts are only good for booking SSR at 11 months no matter which other resorts you own.

We have made 3 offers for 3 different contracts in the last 2 days. We could not reach a middle ground with the seller on the first one, and the second one was sold while we were thinking about it. :sad2: However, this morning a new one which was actually a better deal became available and VOILA:wizard:, it is a go!

Now off to ROFR!! :banana::banana:

Congratulations! Sounds like a lot of work (and stress) but glad it worked out in the end. Which resort?

I decided to put an offer in and I'm waiting to hear whether or not if it was accepted.

Ahhh, I predicted early in that first thread that a frenzy would start in this interim period. We had planned on adding two more contracts... an additional one for each of our kids... during next summer. We just purchased their first two last summer and planned on gifting them additional points as they started families. I now wish we had gone ahead and purchased all of the contracts we wanted at once so they would all maintain maximum flexibility. I suspect bidding wars will start soon for the more lucrative contracts as folks try to get in before the deadline, which could possibly put those next two contracts out of the range of our pocketbook. :sad1:
