ours are essentially done, so i have a good idea what we're getting back on federal and what we owe on state, but we're just waiting for 2 more documents to finalize. haven't received my w2 from my old employer, but i was able to fill out the fields based on my last pay summary. still need the 1098 for our mortgage interest, but i was able to estimate based on the interest paid in our last bill. i called and both said they won't be available until Jan 31, so I just have to wait to finish until then. we are set to close on our refinance the middle of Feb, and i was hoping we'd receive our refund by then to pay our closing costs but doubt it now. we have the money, but mentally, i wish we could pay it with the "found" money of our return than from the savings account.
Definitely wait for the W2. I put all my last paycheck info in and when I got my W2, the wages were different due to things that had come out pre-tax. My refund went up by $1000 once I put the correct numbers in

Thankfully I have that day off, as I'll be making a trip to the PO for that return receipt.
But our tax lady called us today, and said that she had forgot to put our bank info in when she filed, and she went in to try to delete it from the system, and it was already excepted? So, now we will get our refund in the mail!! Can anyone tell me how long I should expect for that to come in now?? She was very sorry, but I had that kind of money coming in the mail. Does anybody think it will cause some kind of a glitch with our refund, considering she tried to delete it, and it was already accepted? Good LUCK to everyone else!
