Yes, I know that could be only a dream. But maybe in a (long, ......I know) future we could see those DVC resorts (at GF and Poly).

I was just curious to know how many other ppl are interested in, and hoping that maybe Disney directives could read our minds (or our posts, LOL) and make our "Dreams come True".

I also would love, love, love a DVC at the GF or the Poly because both are just beautiful resorts, and I can only imagine how incredible the villas would be. However, at least with BLT we get the convenience of the monorail...

I really think (with NO FACTUAL INFO to back me) that these will indeed become a reality sooner than later. Seeing Disney's willingness to demolish cash rooms for a DVC building at CR, I can't help but think this will happen at at least one of these 2 resorts as well (esp. the Poly since some buildings are same age as CR). At GF, I think (emphasize I and think) building a separate site like KV for AKV would be the way to go across that small creek to the north of the main facilities.

I think as long as DVD shows success selling BLT at high $$ value and higher point usage, they can push the envelope higher at the Poly and GF with those 2 resorts being "closer" on the monorail line than the BLT.

So yes, I would love a Poly DVC--BLT and GF hold no appeal for us.

We just returned from a week at OKW and took some time to peek at BLT while at Chef Mickey’s. We noticed that the only way to get to the Monorail station is through the lobby of CR. We stayed in CR some years ago and were surprised at the number of people that spend so much time just visiting CR like it is some kind of museum. We waited for 20 minutes one day for an elevator just to get down from our room because people were clogging them up.

I like BLT but fear it will be much like CR in nostalgia and GF and Poly would be the same if they built villas. We like a more quiet setting away from the crowds. When we go to Ohana for dinner the Poly lobby is always packed with non hotel guests as well.

I've never even been to the Poly, but for some reason I think I would like to at least stay there if it were DVC. Probably even buy there. (I would say definately if we hadn't just bought 250pts at BLT.)

If they built a Poly DVC I would instantly dump all my points and re-buy them all there. My entire family loves the Poly and I know if there was a DVC there it would be very unlikely we would ever stay anywhere else.

We would love a DVC at Polynesian or Grand Floridian! If that ever happened, nothing would stop us from joining. Those resorts (especially Grand Floridian) are our top two WDW hotels, by far.

What do you think the maintenace fees would be? I think GF is a great place to walk around, but I don`t think it would be worth the points it would cost to stay there, but that`s just me. Love love love the Poly though. But the points..... whew!

It definately wouldn't surprise if me if GF went into the DVC, I am surprised it hasn't yet.

I'd vote for a Poly DVC. GF is nice, but we have high Victorian style all around us here at the Jersey Shore...so Poly winds up being more of an escape for us. We'd definitely buy in with no hesitation.

You took the words out of my mouth! I was going to add on with BLT, but decided I can live with 500 points I have right now and will wait until they build a GFV DVC. Those are the only 2 deluxe hotels without one, and they have the land to expand, so I do think it will happen one day, hopefully in the next 5 years.

As long as DVC is making money I think they will eventually get there. It keeps people at the parks an onsite that want a kitchen and more than a hotel room. So many TS in Orlando I'm sure they lose some busness to them and if you keep them on property they also spend their $$$ on property.

I hope they keep expanding on WDW as I love more options. I have no interest in other places for DVC, not sure how they can compete with other places like Marriot, HGVC, and Wyndham. I have a lot cheaper routes to go visit other places than using my DVC pts.

I would like a Poly DVC, of course, because up until recently the Poly was my fav resort (AKV has since taken over the #1 spot w/ Poly a close 2nd). Another reason is because as great as the new Hawai'i DVC resort will be, it's cheaper for me to drive or fly to WDW (and it's our love anyway ) than flying out to Hawai'i.

Lastly, DW and I do not like the CR or the BLT either. We have seen the BLT models, and did not like the decor or anything, and currently have NO DESIRE to stay there any time soon (that's just us, don't flame me). At AKV and the Poly we feel transported to another place, and truly feel away from the outside world. I am still happy for the BLT folks who are excited about their home resort, we prefer the atmosphere and appeal of these 2 "adventurous" resorts.
