So when will the first AKLV resales be avail?

We would love to buy AKLV points, but really don't want to buy the 160 minimum thru Disney. We are currently looking for a 65-100 point contract.
When do you think the first resales for AKLV will start coming around? I know they were just announced, but when do you think the earliest people will decide to sell would be?
I know this is probably a guess at best, but maybe someone remembers when SSR points started showing up as resales after it opened.

We will be going to Disney in Sept, and plan to visit all of the DVC resorts. We don't plan on another vacation until probably spring '09, so we have some time.
Just wondering what everyone thought.

Given that those smaller contracts will be "add-ons" to existing memberships, and the later "end date" for AKV compared to other resorts, I think it will be quite some time before those smaller contracts start showing up in the resale market. I think folks may be selling of their add-ons at older resorts first.

SSR was available well prior to it opening. By the time the first people were closing resales were showing up. Based on that and the contract sizes that appeared, it seem that many bought in for the developer points to flip the contract itself. That way they were out nothing and had the developer points as a bonus. I don't know how successful they were.

Given the structure of the AKV resales I'd bet that many people bought enough points to get the discount with multiple individual contracts with the idea of selling a portion of those weeks. That way they'd end up with less than the 100 points but at the lower per point price or the developer points. I wouldn't be surprised if some resales are already in ROFR.

I talked to a timeshare resale broker and he thought it would be around 6 months from now to you start seeing some of the AKV for resale.

Does anyone remember approximately how much cheaper the SSR contracts were when they started coming out for resale? I am thinking about buying into AKV but most likely, I won't be using any points until fall of 08. So, waiting 6 months to buy may not be a problem.

I'm sure there are those with a lot more info and better recollection. I'm thinking they were above the price they bought and at the same price as DVC was selling for retail. We have no good way of knowing exactly what they actually sold for or if they even sold. My guess is many of them didn't sell.
