So...When is everybody going to F&W?

Yes, I know we all just got back. But I'm in planning mode.

Val & I go for the Food & Wine Festival every year and I'm looking at making reservations for this year. I believe that a bunch of folks are doing the Wine and Dine marathon the opening week of F&W. Just wondering what dates everybody is planning right now.

I just got back from WDW.
I am not due for another trip for at least two years.
(Welcome to the real world of non-Disney DVC & annual pass people!)

My DH and I are going October 7th through the 17th staying at BWV in a 2 bedroom since we are taking my in laws with us. My FIL is beside himself excited, my MIL is just happy to be spending time with us. The fun part is the have never been to DHS or AK. It will be an entertaining trip!

Tracey and I are looking at the possibility of the first week of October (but not the whole week probably) without the kids with some friends of ours (who I'm sure would love to join in a meet), but nothing committed yet.

1st week of Food & Wine. I'm running in the half relay. Sounds like a lot of other people are going. Should be a fun week.

We were thinking mid-October, but I am more interested in coordinating our dates with the Swolphin event. It sounded like a nice addition to FW and the MNSSHP.
But we have to make the DVC ressies sooner rather than later- so I wonder when they will announce their plans for the fall??

Maybe we could do a food and wine classic meet this yr. Due to unforseen circumstances I missed meeting most everyone at the Poly last yr. Would be great to put the faces with the names!

I don't have our ressies yet,but we're planning the first week (maybe more). We have a big event in February 2012 so we're going to be a little short of points for our usual long Food and Wine trip.

Matt and I are going Sept 29 - Oct 4th. I am running in the 1/2 (eithe the whole or in the relay). Can't wait- NO KIDS and have never been down for Food and Wine, I am so excited

If only I had a crystal ball to tell me which days would have the coolest temps! I was there the last week of October 2010, and there were still some 90-degree days.

On the other hand, when I was at WDW on Dec. 13 - it the coldest day I have ever spent there!

Why can't you book until August? You can book any time, moving points to and from UY when necessary.

You may be misunderstanding use year restrictions. You don't have to wait until your use year to begin booking stays using those points. You can book at the normal 7/11 month window at any time. The use year restriction is only on when the points actually get used.

Val & I are seriously considering going 10/1-10. I see that many of our DIS friends are going to be there for the marathon so that will be fun to see them. And we're cruising later in that week so it seems to work best. May have an extra day or two after the cruise to hit some favorites.

Gotta plan a LONG trip, Aaron. The expo for the half is September 30th, and the Swan/Dolphin classic isn't until October 7th or 8th.
