So when do YOU put your Christmas decorations/Tree up?

We always start the day after Thanksgiving and usually finish by Saturday. It is always a family affair with everyone participating, even friends who may occasionally stop by.

The lights outlining the roof line, went up yesterday. They were plugged in just long enough to make sure none of them popped on us while putting them up. They will be turned on Thanksgiving night.

The rest of the outside decorations will go up, some time this weekend. Depending on how well the outside goes, we will start on the inside as well. By the 2nd, everything will be up, both inside and out.

Our tree and decorations will go up the Friday after Thanksgiving!!

I never put any decorations up until the first Sunday of Advent. It is a tradition I started with DH when we married. The baby can not go into the manger on Christmas Eve. My tree is usually 2 weeks before Christmas and everthing comes down on Epiphany. Although last year my DH kepth the tree up until October. I might not have minded but it was a real DEAD tree. He has been given orders this year it comes down. I start in the house and then do the outside decorations. I leave for Disney on Dec 1st so I am doing some of the inside decorations and leaving the rest until we come home.

OCTOBER I would have been dragging that thing through my house, out the door and down the stairs to the curb myself....even if it had killed me. WOW!!

We get our tree the first weekend in December. We haven't done outdoor decorations in the past, but I would like to find something small and light up to put out this year...
